The staff at this location are extremely helpful and generous! We ran into some transportation issues and while there was nothing they could do immediately to help us, when we got to the hotel, the manager on duty, Dear was awesome! He upgraded our room as a result of this issue and it all honesty that wasn't something we expected. The restaurant staff was also pretty awesome! I would highly recommend this place during your stay!
Greta property, being IHG member had a separate check in which was quick. The room was facing the beach and had a huge porch to sit and enjoy the view...one of the best beach and hotel has an option of hiring snorkelling equipment or book scuba diving on the premise...my daughter had fun time at the kids centre which had lots of toys... infinity pool has amazing sun-set view. Very helpful staff.. There are a few shacks next to the hotel which offer an alternative to hotel food at lower price...
Overall happy with the hotel but there were some flaws. Pros: -Great location with a beautiful beach -Amazing infinity pool -Very cute bungalows with nice views of the ocean -High speed free wifi which you can use even on the beach -Great speed boat transfer to get back to Phuket Cons: -A bit far from the main attraction of the island and have to take a boat to go anywhere -Buying anything (especially food) is incredibly expensive and unreasonable and given lack of other options in the area you are unfortunately stuck -We had requested a non-smoking room but the room reeked of smoke when we walked in -Breakfast not that great with the exact same things served every day
I stayed at this hotel during my recent vacation in Phi Phi. From the moment I arrived, I was delighted. It is a real hidden gem. The property is much bigger than what one can expect and what you see in the photos. The rooms are simple but nice. With good space and a spacious balcony. I think the design is appropriate considering that it´s an island (I said that because I read some comments from people who complain about the decoration). The breakfast was amazing, very complete. You could choose between the Thai menú and western menu. The general facilities (swimming pools, bar, lobby, restaurant) are quite nice. The beach is one of the most beautiful and quiet of the island. Away from the tourists crowds. This can be good or bad, depending what you are looking for. It is very important to know that the hotel is located a few kilometers away from the center of the island (where the majority of hotels, bars, restaurants) and can only be reached by boat. Which is a little uncomfortable if you want to go out at night. It would be wonderful if the hotel had a type of private transportation for its guests, which will operate at certain hours. Since it is not cheap be renting boats to move to Tonsai pier, and it´s a bit rough take a boat in the middle of the night and in the middle of the ocean. Outside of that, I really enjoy every minute of my stay.
BRAND NEW ROOM 701. (Literally, happily, had to remove the plastic covers from the new outlets to use them.) We had our own private pool and backyard. And a concierge person who picked us up and drove us up to our room whenever we wanted. Lindsley and Maxxi were amazing and more then helpful. Both spoke perfect English. All food was amazing and delicious.
I chose the Holiday Inn in Phi Phi as my wedding destination…All my friends and family received a very special treatment since the time we stepped in the hotel…That was my third time is this hotel, and I can say that our stays in Holiday inn it’s always very special… I couldn't finish my review without say a very special thank you to Nawarat, as she was the name behind my wedding, she made everything more than perfect…she went beyond my dreams…every single detail, every single corner was just perfect! Like a magic! Thank you so much for all you have done Nawarat, and thank you for your amazing team as well!!
Fantastic, natural and lovely resort! We spent 9 happy days and met new friends. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The environment and the accommodation are wonderful, clean and beautiful. The service is more than excellent and food - fresh and delicious. We tried almost all Thai and Asian dishes during our stay and the seafood was soooo good! I highly recommend this resort! This resort is more than appropriate for both romantic couples and family holiday makers. We traveled with our baby and we had a lot fun, out of any worries. There is something for everyone.Thank you nice smiley people! We miss you! Se you again this August! <3
Have spent there a night with my husband last month. He is a IHG Elite member and we were greeted upon arrival by a very professional and kind attendant. We wanted a sea-view room so approached the front desk and asked if there are any available. General Manager himself, mr Stephane, helped us with finding a perfect room. Nothing beats this location - you feel like in a paradise. Employees are friendly and always willing to help. Big thanks to the management for helping us with retrieving some items that we left behind. We realised that we missed some staff while in Patong and Holiday Inn Phi Phi kindly sent them to us the following day. Overall - highly recommended :)
We spent 2 nights at Phi Phi Holiday Inn, the setting is fantastic, great infinity pool and sunset deck. The staff are friendly and everything is well organized, the only downside is the rooms need attention and mattress needs replacing.
We arrived here from Phuket via the speedboat transfer which is well worth the extra money rather than the ferry which takes 31/2 hours then a long tail boat to the island, the speedboat takes 1hr and pulls up right outside the hotel, a grand start to the holiday! We stayed 9 nights a lovely end to our month tour around Thailand. The staff here can't do enough for you, nothing is to much trouble, we booked a garden bungalow( which are lovely, slightly more basic but ample big enough) but we were upgraded to the seaview room (516) as it was our honeymoon. Ours was right next to the adult infinity pool and right on the beach front at the far end of the resort which is much quieter. It is a short walk to the bars and restaurants but the hotel staff are constantly milling around in golf buggies and offer you lifts to and from. The room had a very large comfy king sized bed, although the furniture was a little dated it was lovely and clean with a safe and fridge, 2 bottles of water are replenished daily in your room free of charge, there is a large outside patio area with furniture overlooking the sea (apply mosquito repellent when sitting out after dusk or you'll get bitten! They do supply an electric mosquito repellent and refill the tabs daily) my partner got bitten quite a lot whilst on holiday so we smelt of lemoncello mosquito repellent for the duration of our stay but a small price to pay in paradise! There was an indoor shower and also a large outside wet room? Which we didn't use. The infinity pool for adults is the pool we preferred to use as children were not allowed so it was much quieter, there was a small bar which had beer and soft drinks and you could order bar snacks, pizzas, quesadillas etc and they brought them up from the main bar by bike which took about 15-20 mins, the towels are supplied by the pool and at the recreation centre for use on the beach with a sign in sign out system. Pools were not opened until 9am so no sun-lounger hogging which was good! There are plenty of loungers/deck chairs both at the pool and beach. The main bar had a good selection of cocktails and spirits 4 beers in a bucket for 400tb which was good, anything bought at the hotel you signed for and it was added to your bill to be paid at the end of your stay. There are no ATM machines on the whole island so make sure you take card or cash for use at the local bars and restaurants the nearest one is tonsai bay. There was a good selection of pizzas and snacks available at the beach bar which were reasonably priced. The hotel had 2 restaurants a buffet style and a fish restaurant which you had to book in the morning ( we met people that ate there and said it was good costing about 1500 pp, very pricey for Thailand ) we only ate breakfast at the hotel which was very good the selection was amazing they catered for all nationalities, something for everyone! We preferred to eat out as the food and the atmosphere was so much better and to eat with the locals and traditional Thai food, after all that's what we went for. 'Jasmines' to the left of the hotel on the beach was our favourite we ate like kings for next to nothing!! Don't be put off by the local children running around and the chickens walking around the tables oh and the odd cat( which are well fed) the food is amazing. We watched the waitress gut and clean fish and squid in the sea just outside the restaurant then put them on the BBQ! Can't get fresher than that now! We also at at 'zevolas' just a bit further down the beach which was also excellent, cost slightly more but well worth it, the best massaman curry I've ever eaten. ( they supply you with mosquito spray if by any chance you'd forgotten to apply, as take it from me you well get bitten if not) There is also a little shop on the beach right next to jasmines run by the locals which sell basic toiletries and beer, water and soft drinks for a really good price and so much cheaper than the shop in the hotel. We went on quite a few boat trips, maya bay( very busy go early to miss the crowds) snorkelling, monkey island, mosquito island, James Bond island, bamboo island and tonsai bay. The first trip we did through the hotel, big mistake as very expensive, the rest we went to the locals on the beach, who are usually sat outside the shop or tinkering about on their long tail boats, they will take you anywhere, wait for you for the time you wish to stay and bring you back for half the price! We went to tonsai bay for 3 hrs for 1100tb half the price they charge at the hotel, and they are so friendly although don't speak much English just basics. Take a snorkel and underwater camera as the fish in the area and at the hotel are amazing ( watch out for the odd moray eel and barracuda though!) oh and take some sea shoes ( best thing we'd taken!) the beach is coral and shell so it's easier to walk in the sea without getting cuts. We took a stroll in to phi phi village you can get to it via a path at the far right hand side of the resort it takes about 20 mins to the village where there are a few bars, shops and good local food eateries which are so much cheaper, don't be put off by the rough looking track it's very safe, it's like walking through a butterfly farm along the path with some really pretty butterflies, unfortunately it's a bit rubbish strewn by the locals which is a real shame. If you don't fancy the walk back after a few to many cocktails then don't worry the locals will bring you back on their taxis ( a bike with a side seat) for a couple of pounds up until 12pm, which we did on a few occasions! Even if you do have to hang on for dear life it's good fun, You get to see all sorts of wildlife including snakes along the way at that time of night. Before you leave I suggest you check how your leaving the island we presumed we were booked on the speedboat but it turned out we were booked on the ferry, we didn't fancy the 31/2 hr journey so payed the extra for the upgrade (£60 for both of us) to go back to Phuket by speedboat a good end to the holiday. All in all a fantastic relaxing holiday couldn't fault it, 10/10 we would go back although we will book it direct ourselves next time on booking.com as so much cheaper than through a tour operator, we may even try phi phi island holiday resort in the village as this looked a lovely hotel too.
