For £20 a night, we have no complaints! Spacious room, super comfy bed, clean, water stocked daily, friendly staff, stylish bathroom. Hot water a bit temperamental but not worth a complaint! Beach in our opinion is a 30 minute walk but the hotel does offer a beach transfer twice day. Hotel is set 5 mins off the main road, quite dark but we felt perfectly safe walking back at night. Not sure I'd want to do it if I were a female solo traveler tho..... not that it felt unsafe in slightest, there's just one bit of the walk which is quite dark. A few more lights would be a great help! Overall we would definitely recommend!!
We enjoyed our stay here, large room with a balcony big enough to fit table and chairs and very helpful drying rack! Staff were lovely and friendly, laundry service good value and comes back smelling fresh - though whites were dyed pink due to mixing colours/too high temperature. As backpackers, our clothes weren’t our best, so didn’t bother us but you may want to specify the preferred temperature or send clothes in for separate washes if you are concerned. We hired a motorbike for 250 baht for the day (24 hours) - prices ranged from 150 to 500. You need to leave your passport as deposit for this, but process was thorough and bike was safe with two helmets provided. Comfortable enough bed but quite firm. Comfy duvet. Great air con - like industrial standard... though the room had a musty odour to it sometimes which tainted the bed slightly too. The TV was a great size but had no English channels so pretty useless to us. The bathroom was a good size and provided shampoo but no soap/shower gel (though it did have space for a dispenser so this may have just been an oversight on our stay). Snacks and drinks are available to purchase, both in-room in the large fridge, or down at Reception along with some souvenir items. Free water is provided each day; We were even given some extra bottle upon arrival. Walking distance to the Main Street (5 mins) and to the beach (15-20 mins) with many restaurants/hostels/cafés alongside the road as you walk. The pool is a lovely temperature and well looked after; there were even balls to play with, sun beds and shower.
I take family room at the third floor on 20 to 24 June 2017. Everything is good for me and my family, except the sound of the air conditioning. If they can reduce this sound I will give an "excellent" in this review. Just five minutes walk, you can find many restaurant and traditional food Thai. You can go to the beach about 30 minutes walk, or rent a motor bike from them (250-300 Bath a day). Or you can use their transportation car to the beach free, but follow their schedule. Only ten minutes walk to the Tesco Lotus supermarket , I like to buy fruits in here. Mini mart are almost every where you can find. If you go to the beach direction, there are a lot of western food, accessories stall, tour information, massage, pharmacy and almost everything you need. And the hotel offer the package tour too, the price is reasonable (you can try to compare with Tour Information stall). Maybe I've got this good condition because of the low season , but I hope AoNang Regent still give the best to their customers in high season.
Stayed here for 2 nights and I reallyd do not want to leave... Rent a scooter and everything is close. The pool is in the shadow all day, what a Shame. But it is still great indeed! So clean a comfortable, Luxus for little money. Will go back again! Got discount on scooter rent, such nice service.
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Aonang Regent for 2 nights. First impressions were that the hotel was a little out the way of the main part of Ao nang, however still in walking distance, so this didnt cause too much a problem. The hotel also offered a free shuttle 2 times a day and a taxi into town was only cheap. The staff in the hotel were very friendly especially the man who was on reception most of the time (i didnt catch his name) he also helped us sort out our shuttle to the airport at the end of our trip and also to book a day trip to the Islands. The room was great, very clean and big, only downside was the shower wasn't that great. But for the price we were paying i think it is very good value.
Great location, you can hear the mosque outside but not inside, but it's a very pleasant call to prayer unlike others I've experienced. Bed incredibly comfortable, awesome tv, friendly staff. Shower not too impressive, either boiling or cold, and water pressure not brilliant but we loved the room apart from that. Would definitely stay again, already went back for a second stay!
This will definitely be my go to place to stay in Ao Nang. As a female visitor on my own it was great, a 5 minute walk to the Main Street and mosque and I was happy to walk to and from the hotel on my own, day and night, there is a free bus service ran by the hotel but I never felt the need to use it. The room I had was on the 1st floor and was immaculate, fabulous big balcony overlooking the pool, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge with mini bar, safe, tv etc. There is really nothing I can say that is negative, the 8 nights I stayed here were the most comfortable of a 3 week Thailand trip. Well done to all who work here and thank you, see you soon hopefully.
We stayed here for five nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms with air conditioning and safety box were spacious and clean. The swimming pool was also wonderful. This hotel was fantastic!
This is a great budget hotel with nice big rooms, fantastic air con, comfy beds, fab balcony, huge fridge etc Cleanliness was fantastic The location is about 20 min walk from beach but you have a huge amount of restaurants near to the hotel on the main road Check in was poor however, we arrived early and were made to wait 3 hours for the room to be prepared. We did see the maid preparing 4 rooms before ours (all empty) so wasn't happy that ours couldn't have been done first The shower is useless! There is only two temperatures which is scalding hot or freezing cold and the hot water only lasts for a 30 seconds before it goes cold. There is absolutely no water pressure so you can't use the rainfall shower provided. It is the only thing that needs to be sorted out within the hotel The bottles of water provided are tiny bottles of water so you will need to buy your own
We loved that we could check in straight away when we arrived from Krabi Town. Our room on the first floor was huge with a balcony and mountain views. Lovely to sit on the balcony which included a clothes rack. The bed was comfortable and air con was good. Big bathroom with modern toilet and rain shower head. In room safe and a big fridge with mini bar and ice cubes. We enjoyed the swimming pool and used the free shuttle down to the beach. The 7/11 is handy as is the massage place and good local restaurants although it is a bit of a walk to the main street but nice and quiet. No breakfast provided but free wifi. Water is provided each day in the room as is tea/coffee/sugar/creamer (2 of each). Reception were friendly, pool towels provided. We booked a shared mini van to the airport for 150bt each which was on time. Recommend this hotel.
