The hotel is newly renovated. Foods and cocktails at the bar are good. Our room is very clean. The staff at the check out was not so nice. And no receipt was provided after couple months of check out.

The location its amazing

I completely understand that they had just experienced a hurricane and weren't prepared for everything that happened. I genuinely sympathize with the employees and locals. What bothered me was the way the front-desk manager spoke to us. She basically told us that we should have canceled and not come. The problem is that canceling wasn't that simple. If the hotel, airline, and other bookings had offered full refunds, I would have had no problem postponing the trip. But we were looking at potentially losing around $10,000 that we worked hard for, plus the income I already lost by taking two weeks off work. You can't tell tourists they shouldn't come while also expecting them to simply accept losing thousands of dollars because refunds aren't being offered. I can have empathy for what Kauaʻi went through while also expecting basic understanding and respectful treatment from the people running the hotel. Dont ask questions they just hate anybody that come there. I never right a review. Also this place had cucarachas

Rented this place for shelter due to Hurricane and they price gouged $900/night there was no power or wifi service so no fridge to store food or anything for 72 hours. The minute we were scheduled to check out they offered $200/night. Still no power…. Things can’t be controlled but raising the rates 4x normal when people are in a state of duress then lowering prices when absolutely no one wants to stay somewhere without backup generators? Update your property to Starlink service and. buy a back up generator for this unit at least.
