The hotel staff was nice, the rooms were spacious I just wish there was a beach you could swim at.

The property is beautiful. Multiple pools/lagoon. Family friendly. The staff are very helpful and courteous and for the most part friendly. The restaurants are more geared towards seafood, burgers. Negatives: -the lounge chairs are limited by the pool (only a problem in busy season which is near always. I brought this up to supervisor Alicia Cohen who was very responsive to my frustration of finding no chairs with shade, she very quickly apologized and offered me a complimentary cabana.) - the food choices are so limited and overpriced in the hotel and even locally for that matter -The beach/ocean is too rough to swim or snorkel

Pros-Staff was AMAZING! Property is gorgeous! Entertainment top notch! Cons-Too many small children.

Absolutely beautiful! No need to leave the resort. Parrots, swans, turtles, ducks - this resort had it all!

The hotel and grounds were exceptional. The area was well maintained and it was like being in a botanical garden as we walked through the property. The food in all of the restaurants was superb. All staff members were professional, very friendly, and helpful when we asked for their assistance about both the hotel and the local area.

One of the best beach side resorts we have stayed at (e.g. we liked this place way better than say Grand Waliea in Maui or Disney Aulani) for a couple of reasons: the layout is such that the common areas e.g. pool area dont feel too crowded - you can find a chair by the pool most times of the day. another reason we like this property is because of the onsite restaurants - both Tidepools and Donderos compare to similar places in Four Seasons or Ritz providing great food options onsite. Lastly Kauai is just an amazing island with so much to do and explore. Highly recommended esp if traveling with kids. Oh forgot to mention how Poipu Beach next door offers you onshore snorkeling - we say so many fishes snorkeling right at the beach, so yeah Grand Hyatt has a great location as well!

The hotel is great for those looking for a relaxing and central location. It is on the Southern side of Kauai, which is typically sunny vs. Princeville, which receives a lot of rain. It has good conference facilities, but has a quiet and calm environment which is great for couples, but also has the lazy river and waterslide which our kids loved. It is close to Poipu, which offers shopping and beaches you can swim in (the beach at the hotel nice, but going in the water isn't suggested due to the coral bottom, large waves, and red flag conditions). The Spa was disappointing and nothing special with prices that seemed expensive, even for a hotel. The food was great, but not cheap either. Beautiful scenery and great staff! I feel this is the best hotel for the best location on Kauai.

We loved our stay at the Grand Hyatt. The location was great. The pools are fantastic and so are the staff!! The golf course was amazing with its views and playability and staff. The spa pedicure I had was not very good and I definitely would not go there again. But we loved our stay at your hotel and would come back.

There were art & craft activities for the kids so more fun for them. The activity/ recreation leader was very nice and the kids had fun other than playing in the pool. The hotel has a calendar of activities with plenty to do each day. The resort has breath taking views and room was clean. However, very slow on any service to the room,so be ready to wait an hour or two minimum for anything that needed to be delivered to the room that is not routined. Granted that it is such a huge property and usually took some time to get from point A to point B, I had to call three times and waited hours before I got an extra bathrobe delivered and on another occasion, the extra towels I requested never arrived ( so I ended just grabbing a house keeping lady at the hallway after two hours). Hopefully you got everything you needed at the time you checked-in.

Have been coming to the Hyatt Kauai for last 10 yrs. Some things have changed for the good and some for the not so good but still the best place on the island. Grounds are immaculate as always, however, Hyatt staff if you’re reading this please add some more swinging benches back out on the beach front. Only had one this trip and it was always occupied. Staff is always curteous and helpful. The welcome valet guys were not as friendly/helpful this year. Didn’t offer a welcome lei on arrIval so we just got our own from their stand. Rooms are nice but could use a little remodeling/updating. Shower curtain was in need of replacement (mold). Out of a 7 night stay we had turndown service only one of those nights. Not sure what the deal was there. Tide Pools is still a great place to eat on site. Fanatastic food and service. All in all we still love this place.

Excellent hotel on the beach (small beach but beautiful). The grounds are a tropical paradise with several pools (including a salt-water kiddie pool and a water slide) and jacuzzis. Many rooms have full ocean view. Three restaurants (Dondero's, Tidepools, and Stevenson's Library) offer great food for various tastes (Italian, American and Japanese). Tidepools and Dondero's offer awesome romantic setups besides delicious dishes). I cannot wait for the next visit.

We booked our trip thru Orbitz.. I probably won't book my package deals through Orbitz again… The hotel was beautiful and I'm sure it wasn't their fault for the room that we got… I paid extra to get a partial Oceanview… And there was no partial Oceanview our room overlooked the pool and the bar… Very disappointed since it was a big birthday for me and it was supposed to be a special vacation

I was blown away by our stay at the Hyatt. We have stayed in resorts all over the world for years and this by far was one of our best experiences!!! they spoiled us and made our anniversary above and beyond what I thought it could be!! The staff was amazing and words can't describe how pleased my husband and I were.

Other than the fact that the facility employees were too departmentalized, meaning they only knew about their role & could not assist with good advise in general about the full resort... it was good. Most the employees seemed to genuinely enjoy helping you, a couple bad nuts but over all the amenities, cleanliness & gracious staff was a pleasant experience. Tide pools was the best experience with the most gracious service. The cafe near the pool had great food! The lazy river needs to move a little faster. The lagoon was amazing! The cleanliness of hotel was superb!

Excellent hotel on Kauai, lots of activities in hotel, nice room and building
