This hotel is very nice. People are so friendly, breakfast is great and the rooms are very nice. They are very kind, and if you need anything they will bring you. If you get one of the rooms with private pools, you have your own infinity pool with are great view. Like there profile picture. They have great facilities, like a big pool for everybody. Wich is also great. And great with kids.
We stayed 7 nights and you cannot deny the stunning views from the resort and our room. We knew the resort was located high on the hill however in reality, wow it was a long way up! Don’t think for one moment that you could walk but the hotel does supply unlimited transport to and from the hotel to the 7/11 on the ring road. Walking around the resort was challenging. From our room 33P walking to the restaurant for dinner or breakfast wasn’t too bad but to reception that was a mean feat! Management was always and only too pleased to come and collect you in a buggy but it took away the spontaneous urge just going for a walk. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 storey apartment with our plunge pool off the main bedroom. Views were stunning however we found the rooms dark, tiles although not dirty were stained and old looking. The shared down stairs toilet which serviced the 2 bedrooms was in the hall way (under the stairs) not located in either of the 2 ensuites & what 5 star resort doesn’t supply tissues? The shower head was probably one of the worst we have come across and trying to regulate the water… that was tough! Even though there was just the 2 of us in a room that catered for 4, the lounge seating was a single chair and a 2 seater so we found ourselves separated when watching TV (nothing of interest ever came on as the movie channel, was the worst but realise this was not the resorts problem, thank goodness we both had a great book), one on the lounge and other lying on the master bed downstairs (2 TV’s)! Not ideal. Lying on our deck chairs was lovely looking at the view and the ocean in the foreground, however not one ray of sun found its way onto our deck, and the plunge pool… OMG it was so cold, my husband got as far as his knees, I never got in (not that brave). 5 out of 7 mornings after breakfast I laid beside the main pool area near the restaurant reading my book, very present, in 7 days I seriously thought I was the only guest there! I tried on each occasion to get into the main pools as they looked so inviting, so clean and crystal clear but freezing, no way was I going in. In the 7 days we were there I only saw one other couple, they lasted about 10 seconds in the pool, no one else, that I observed put a toe in any of the pools the entire time we were there. The staff were absolutely delightful and so very helpful and friendly, couldn’t fault them at all, they really went out of their way to assist. After 2 nights I showed them all the bites I had gotten on my legs, arms and back and they sprayed our room whilst we went out for the day! The chef in the restaurant came out and spoke to us after our 2nd meal, I think he is trying very hard to create something special and different with his meals, over all the meals were OK, We thought breakfast buffet was OK but really not up to 5 star status. This resort has the potential of being a 5 star but certainly not there yet…. Viviane & Paul Mylott - Australia
Best thing about this resort is the stunningly beautiful view and the Accommodation. It is remote and isolated. Staff were always friendly & courteous but language was a problem. Spa services were way below average with no idea about even a basic mani/pedi. Also very poor provision of room toiletries. Minimal supplies, e.g. No tissues and very tiny soaps. Also, no one wants to wash their hair with red shampoo!
We spent one week in Infinity Residences (via a "deals.com" deal- which seemed a fraction of normal room rate). The Resort is in Bang Por, which is about half hour tuktuk or taxi ride from Chaweng. The resort is about 3-5minute drive up the mountain from the main ring road. They supply you with a phone to get a lift up and down the hill. Bang Por has a number of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance of the drop off point. Service was generally very good, and breakfast and dining at the resort was also of a high standard. Food was reasonably priced and we found ourselves eating at the resort regularly. We had several spa vouchers, which allowed us to use the service free of change for most of our stay. The 2 bedroom terrace we stayed in was nicely furnished, had amazing views and our own drop pool. While the service, room and general vibe of the resort were great, the whole place was let down by the location. I would suggest staying closer to the action for a week and spending a few days to a week here to relax and chill out. The resort is very close to a Buddhist Temple and has regular ceremonies at the lobby.
My boyfriend booked this hotel as the romantic setting for his proposal (which was a success by the way). The view is incredible and also the best thing with this hotel, together with the private infinity pool on our terrace. Those two things alone earned my recommendation. We stayed in a room which had two spacious bedrooms and three (!) bathrooms, two showers and two bathtubs, a large living room, large kitchen and big terrace with the infinity pool, looking over the ocean. The price is really good for this kind of hotel. + the hotel will drive you, free of charge, to 7/11 on the main road or drop you off there if you'd like to go somewhere. They'll give you a mobile phone to contact them when you want to be picked up. Clever solution! + there are electric golf carts used for transportation within the hotel area when bringing your luggage or incase you have difficulties walking uphill + the food was OKAY but again, the restaurant view is out of this world The negatives; the room brochure included (the most thorough info we've ever come across) information about the hotel services and the island. I feel strongly that informing about (and thereby encouraging a visit to) a Tiger show, Buffalo fighting, monkey shows, crocodile farms, snake shows is wrong. The hotel should not suggest these things like it's an acceptable experience during your visit to koh samui.
These apartments have the most incredible views looking out across to several islands day or night there is always something to look at be it lights at night or the islands and the boats during the day. The location is certainly isolated. We did read the reviews prior to booking so knew is was up high in the forest and somewhat secluded. We had booked 2 nights to just totally relax, with our own pool, before returning home. Unfortunately we had extreme rain and flooding during our overall stay in KS but the pool was so cold, we could never have used it. We attempted to one day, even though raining but we were going to get wet anyway, but it was just far too cold. For us this was a big negative. I understand in the middle of Summer pools may not need to be heated but this is the cooler time in Thailand. We also dipped toes in the main pool and this was not any better. The Residences (rooms) really are lovely with nice modern furnishings, partially self contained although we couldn't understand why only 1 knife, couple of spoons for cutlery until we went to put something in dishwasher, and a found a few more things in there not taken out. I am being fussy, but this is a 5 Star property and would expect house keeping to unload the dishwasher for the next guests. We asked for Umbrella's to go to breakfast but after about a half hour wait, we ended up walking in the rain to the Dining Room. I am not sure if its a language barrier but there are many little things like this that made us have the opinion that there is a big room for improvement to make this a 5 Star Property, particularly with the prices you pay. I personally would recommend they improve in lots of areas as they have the potential to become a 5 Star Resort however at the moment, don't believe it is near 5 Star or really Luxury. POSITIVES: Views are fabulous Staff friendly They do offer a buggy service to your apartment as it is very steep to walk up and down They also offer a Pick up and Return to the local 7/11 which takes you down a hill you would not want to walk up, particularly at night. Apartments are modern and Clean Again, the VIEWS NEGATIVES It is isolated and without transport, you are very limited with what to do and where to go. Transport from the 7/11 is if a Taxi is passing by so not much choice in what price you pay. There is nothing for children to do other than Cold Pool so could see small children getting very bored. The restaurant is extremely overpriced, particularly in Thailand. There are restaurants down the hill but you don't always want to go out. Maybe if they reduced their prices, guests may stay for more than one meal. Serviettes in the Restaurant is recommended. Even McDonalds have serviettes. If it is advertised as self contained, there needs to be more appliances to cook with to make it self catering. We had expected a lot more and were really looking forward to our stay here after staying elsewhere in Thailand. Unfortunately our expectations were not met on this occasion and don't think we would return.
First time here in Ko Samui and this residence and location with spectacular views was so relaxing, the accommodation was unberlivable spacious clean your own private pool and two bedrooms with en-suites wow.The staff were very helpful. Totally recommend to stay.
Spent an amazing few days here and could not rate the staff and service higher. Stefan, the general manager was on hand every time we went past reception and could not have spent more time talking us through what to do on the island and ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. The room was incredible - very high standard of fittings, with all the facilities you would expect and more. The hotel is very secluded and private, tucked away in the hillside. They do however offer a 24/7 shuttle down to the 7Eleven on the main road, which is very handy as the road to the hotel is very steep and bendy. Here you will also find lots of little local bars and restaurants that do fabulous Thai food. We also hired a car from the hotel, which allowed us to explore the island, as the hotel is in a quiet area. Traveller tip: when booking, it is worth requesting a room higher up the hillside, as these offer a more commanding view across to the smaller islands.
We have just returned from a wonderful trip in Koh Samui using a Luxury Escapes voucher. We arrived at Infinity late at night and were met with big smiles by Eaen and staff in reception. We instantly felt welcomed and fell in love with the beautiful resort. Our room was very modern and our bedroom on the bottom floor stepped out onto a cool but inviting infinity pool. Upstairs was self-contained and boasted a very attractive decor which I continued to enjoy throughout our ten day stay. The food was great and service was outstanding. The restaurant staff were all so helpful - Tor, No, May, Sai etc. A special thanks to the chef (can't remember how to spell his name, started with N) who shared some great conversations and made us sad to leave. I also have to mention Vu from the spa who gave me seven massages - wow!! A change in the background music would have been good but I kept going back for more because Vu was great. Loved the views, loved the place and loved the people. Would happily return to this paradise tomorrow.
A beautiful property and excellent rooms with amazing sea views ! Customer service levels are exemplary and when the GM himself takes personal interest in showing you around the island on the first day, you know you are in for a special experience. The team went out of their way to accommodate us for a couple of extra days when our journey to Koh Tao got disrupted by thunderstorms and bad weather. Thanks Stefan, May and the rest of the crew - we had a magical time and will surely be back soon 😊👍
