The villa with a private pool and beach access was a mixed experience. While the private pool was excellent, the overall design of the villa left much to be desired—the bathroom and closet were in separate structures, requiring us to go through multiple doors just to access them. There was no proper work sitting area, which made it inconvenient for those needing a workspace.
The hotel’s beachfront was disappointing—the grass around the villa was not maintained, the beach was not cleaned, and the waters in front of the hotel were full of rocks, making them unusable. The hotel made no effort to clear them or provide any special beach facilities for guests, and service on the beach was nonexistent.
Service overall was polite but not at the level of pampering we expected from a 5-star hotel in Thailand. Dinner at the hotel was below par and overpriced, as was the BBQ night on the beach. However, the seafood restaurant was excellent.
Overall, while the villa’s private pool and polite staff were positives, the lack of maintenance, poor design choices, and underwhelming dining experiences make it hard to justify the price. A decent stay, but not the luxury experience we expected.
