They were busy when we were there with hurricane evacuees and football fans, but everyone was treated like they were the most opportune guest. Breakfast area is a bit small for a full hotel, but all was good and replenished as needed. Our room was large and clean.
Dirty, smelly, nonsmoking room that had been smoked in lots. The AC smelled like the filter had never been changed. There was a hand print on the bathroom door that had not been cleaned. They offered a different room, it smelled worse. Other family members were in the hotel, there rooms were dirty. The ice machine (only one in the whole hotel) was broke. Do yourself a favor and stay in one of the many nice places nearby
This is a great hotel! Super clean, comfortable and convenient. All of the staff was friendly and welcoming the moment we walked in the door. Even the housekeeping staff told us to have a great day and/or safe trip home as we were leaving. We had a king suite with a sofa bed, desk, microwave and refrigerator. The huge TV was mounted on the wall and you could see it from anywhere in the room. The room and bathroom were both very clean, comfortable bed and pillows. We were on the second floor and we could park in the back and walk right in and be on the second level which was so convenient. However the elevator is right there too so if you have a room on an upper level it is still convenient to not have to go through the lobby. This hotel is the way a Comfort Inn Suites is supposed to be and treat you. It’s classy, more upscale and they treat you right. They even give you a nice tissue box and holder and an embroidered bag for the deluxe hairdryer. Not the metal box of tissues under the counter so you won’t steal them and the cheap broken hairdryer on the wall that’s standard in most hotels. Very nice touch! The breakfast was excellent. One of the best hotel breakfasts we have had. The only change that probably needs to be made is the location of plates. The plates are in the middle of the counter so you have to cut in line, grab a plate and then go back in line. It’s a very, very busy breakfast area. They actually had real, fluffy scrambled eggs (not the reheated egg disks) lots of bacon, fresh biscuits, gravy and the traditional waffles, bagels, muffins. The breakfast ladies did an awesome job keeping things fresh, hot and refilled. We definitely plan on staying here again when we come back through town next year!
My husband & I planned a kid free trip for a weekend to catch a college football game @ UT & stayed at this Comfort Inn. The hotel was clean & comfortable, staff were friendly and the morning breakfast was plentiful. We got a king suite which is on the 4th floor (the entire 4th floor is only for suites) it was very spacious with a small sofa & had a view of the surrounding wilderness. They also offered a small bus shuttle on Game Day (not free tho, $20 pp). They have an indoor pool but we didn't have a chance to use it.
We spent the night there to take our son to the doctor the next day from the Nursing Home. It is a very clean Motel and very reasonable. The bed was very comfortable and they offer a small breakfast for you. Staff was very friendly I would recommend anyone to stay there.
We stayed at Comfort Inn Knoxville West on another trip. It was good so we thought we would stay there again. "There" had moved two exits north. This place was too horrible for words! Breakfast? A joke. Cold kiddie cereal, sausage soup and biscuits. So watered down it was inedible. The room was worth about $25 dollars. It's really a shame because the hotel by the same name a year go I had no complaints with. This one? Needs new management desperately. The staff was friendly, but that doesn't make up for substandard rooms, the "make do" breakfast room and the totally worthless breakfast. You know the Waffles they advertise? Not here. "Badda BooK Badda Boom" is "Badda Book Badda Bust! We got on the road to find a Denny's. Doubt I'll EVER stay at a Comfort Inn again EVER.
Had my Bachelorette party in knoxville and stayed at this comfort inn. It is a very nice place and not bad pricing either. The room (301) was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We turned the AC on and it was amazing. It cooled the room down very quickly. We woke up the next day and ate breakfast that was provided and it was actually a very good breakfast!
My wife and I stopped for an overnight stay because of a coupon advertising a new facility. We arrived to a very cold room with air set at 68. That room, #304, was quite large with two queen beds; however, it faced the interstate highway and was very noisy. In the morning, we awoke to a very moist environment. The bath floor tile was damp and there was some black mold on the wall behind the left bathroom wall fixture. Moisture was also evident with the notepad beside the bed. That room has a definite climate control issue. The breakfast was typical and adequate. We would not stay there again.
I stayed here on Sunday night and left Monday morning. I was never so disappointed in a hotel as this one. I recommended this to my son and family because previously I had stayed in them and they were always clean. It looked very clean but when staying here a little while we discovered the carpet was fifty. My 18 month granddaughter was walking on it barefooted and we noticed when we picked up up to change her diaper that her feet were very dirty. We put her shoes and her and didn't let her walk on carpet without her shoes. My son and 8 year old granddaughter went to the pool they discovered it was nasty. Water had not been treated in a while, hair floating all over pool, trash on bottom. It's a health hazard. We stayed here because of locale, close to freeway, shopping mall, Starbucks, and restaurants. Was never so disappointed in a hotel, will not stay here ever again and can honestly say would never recommend it to anyone. Looks were deceiving!
This is the first time we had stayed at this motel since Comfort Inn took over from Ramada. The motel is easy to access from the highway, it is an easy drive to the university and downtown, and the atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a great value.
