DO NOT BOOK HERE! The experience could not be worse. There is no motel! I was shown some pictures before I book but it was all just lies. Apparently, there is just some houses around Waterloo and they rent out the dirty empty rooms in those houses. They texted me before I get there and changed the address even though I had reservations. They are just a bunch of thieves in my opinion. They threatened me if I don’t get the room they showed me (dirty and disgusting with nothing in it but a terrible bed), there will be nothing else and even that will be given to someone else. It didn’t have a private bathroom as you can imagine despite what I had reserved! They even charged me more than what I booked ($138.10 for an awful place!). I was so tired from driving all day that I had to sleep somewhere. I can’t even believe this is on Expedia! I trusted Expedia site but maybe I shouldn’t have. If anyone reading this PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE IT IS JUST FRAUDULENT. They asked for either cash or E-transfer! If I had a choice I wouldn’t have stayed there in a million years. Please don’t ruin you trip by staying there. You don’t know what you will face and as I said, there is no motel anyway and it’s just a bunch of rooms in different houses and you have to share bathrooms with different people.
This is for Expedia: At least make sure there is such a property and the photos and information they are posting is not fake before putting it on your website.

Disliked: Staff & service
The owner is rude and did not open the door even though we paid for the stay and arrived before the time limit for checking out
Not as advertised. No internet, no TV, shared washroom down the hall. Simply a bare cell of a room

As the customer, you need to be aware this is a private residential property, in which the proprietor is renting out rooms in two separate houses. It is not a commercial property and has no business front. I arrived at the address to discover this, finding the property in darkness. After four rings of the doorbell, another guest was kind enough to respond. I had attempted to call ahead but the proprietor had not answered her phone, and voice messaging told me the voicemail message box was full -- not good. After the other guest contacted the proprietor using text messaging, the experience began to improve. The proprietor directed me to a second property, where she presented me with a room that was extremely nice and very clean. The room had an ensuite bathroom and shower, and everything else was great. I think the proprietor is quite honest and eager to provide excellent accommodation. However, she needs to keep her phone manned, keep lights on outside the residences she rents, and make sure customer have the right expectation. Were it not for the other helpful guest, I would have been on my way to something less puzzling than what I experienced. I suggest calling ahead and being ready to occupy a nice room in a residence, or find more conventional accommodation.
The front desk of this guest home was supposed to be open from 4pm to 11pm. It was not. Before my arrival I texted the guest home. I got a text back about 2 hours later. At that time I was already at the door of the home. Nobody was there to open the door even though I got there before 11pm. After waiting two hours outside the guest home I decided to go for something to eat. When I was at the restaurant the front desk person texted me back. She said that in five minutes she was going to open the door for me. I cancelled my order at the restaurant and rushed to the guest home. She did not arrive in five minutes, she actually arrived the next day! Can you believe it?
About half hour later another guest arrived; she already have done her check in process so she had already a key of the front door. I asked this guest to allow me to get in. She did it. After this ordeal I could not sleep well. In addition, I never got a key of the house, so every time I needed to go out I had to ask another guest to agree to open the door to let me get in. Have you ever stayed in a hotel without getting a key of the room? That is just bad.
Besides that, I got the basement room where all the sounds related to the activity of the main floor are heard. No good. I was waked up very early in the morning.
