Scarlet Mango Inn - Scarlet suite

the property & the suite exceeded our expectations by miles. the suite was spotless, with stylish decor, superior furnishings and a very comfortable bed. 2 balconies, one being private off the bedroom...a great feature! the property includes a small pool with a deck, another great feature. lush landscaping enhanced the tropical feel and provided additional privacy. another perk is the location, allowing a 10-20 minute walk to everything in Old Town. this is without question a 5 star property.

Very Nice

Had a great stay. Suite was spacious, which is rare in key West. Nicely decorated with very comfortable furnishings. Property is well done and very clean, with nice garden and heated pool. Restaurants and shops only steps away. Very few cons—only very minor details but otherwise a great place to relax.

Perfect for a getaway. Roomy (stayed in Scarlet suite) and immaculate. Tastefully decorated. We will def stay here again. Perfect location - thank you for a wonderful place to stay during our weekend getaway. Five stars

Perfect location & accommodations!

We stayed here for 4 nights while we celebrated our wedding in Key West! This property is our new favorite and we will be staying again. We were in the Scarlet Room and it was amazing. A ton of space, perfectly clean, and location is one block off duval but pretty quiet street! We had several girls getting ready here for the morning of wedding and it was just perfect! The property was always kept in pristine condition and the pool was a great addition.

What a great place!!

This property was really nice! The location was perfect for us, and we walked everywhere (for reference we are a couple in our 50’s) and didn’t need a car or golf cart at all. The building was beautiful and historic, perfectly remodeled, and tastefully decorated. Suite was huge and very well appointed .

Mid-May ‘24 Scarlet Mango Inn stay

We had learned while there that the Inn was renovated only a year prior! Don’t remember seeing that marketing point online. It showed. Well appointed, very clean, well attended too, and our inside suite decor was beautifully done AND COMFORTABLE! We slept very well in the bed. We stayed in the Scarlet room. Terrific living space, attached public shared front balcony, and a private balcony off the master bedroom. The setting was tranquil & serene. Huge trees envelope the property, but you’re in the thick of the scene! Intersection of Southard Street & Simonton Street, one block from Duvall Street! It’s on the northern end of town, so it is a long walk to the Southernmost point. It was feel-like temps of 115 when we were there, so too long to walk. Lots of other transportation options. Only letdown was the parking situation! They do have 2 street spots available in front of the Inn, but good luck getting one of them! Lots of circling around waiting for a spot to open somewhere nearby.

Such a fabulous place to stay

This was a last minute get away for our Anniversary. Boy did we chose the perfect place! What a nice warm, cozy, clean, top notch place to stay. We had everything we needed, bed was very comfortable, plenty of soaps, towels, coffee and some snacks. We didn't have time to enjoy the pool but plan to next visit. When we come back to Key West, this is the only place we plan on booking. Thank you!

This is the second time I have stayed at property, It is always clean and well kept. This time we stayed in the Scarlett room. Room very spacious and up to dat The only complaint I have is that that room is on the corner and you can hear everything coming from streets, scooters, motorcycles, and vehicle that passes by. then nearby construction starting at 7:30am. Now I know it’s not the resorts fault but would have liked to sleep through night.

Just amazing!

I’m so glad we found the Scarlet Mango Inn. The room was wonderful, with a sitting room and two balconies. The pool area was incredible. The time spent at the pool was a highlight because it was a little oasis. Most of all, the location was perfect right near Duval Street and centrally located between both ends. They’ve done an amazing job with the inn and we can’t wait to return.

Key West visit

Absolutely loved the Scarlet room! Walked to everything we wanted to see and really enjoyed getting back each evening to “our place.” Highly recommend and will plan to stay here again in the future.

Attractive grounds, spacious suite

We had a nice stay. Our suite was very spacious, with both a shared and private balcony. Nice shades on the windows that kept it dark at night. Very little room noise from the other guests. We brought a white noise machine based on other reviews, though and would highly recommend same for anyone, as the street noise is very loud. Comfortable bed and a great shower with a rainwater shower head. Lots of deep dresser and nightstand drawers. Just a few reasons we didn’t rate 5 stars: Snacks were provided, which was nice, but almost all of them were expired (the popcorn expired 2 months ago, for instance). The coffee tasted very old as well, though we didn’t see a date on it. The drinking glasses were all covered in dust, so we had to wash them before using them. The room was hot and musty on arrival (but cooled down nicely after a few hours, which also got rid of the musty smell). We had to search for the info sheet with the Wi-Fi code because for some reason it was in a drawer instead of with the info booklet. (However, once we were able to connect, the Wi-Fi was strong and stable). Without these small issues, this would have been a 5 star experience, and we would return.
