Anyone can enter through the bar without being a paying customer. Locals, off duty employees, and drag queens who perform across the street get preferred treatment over paying guests. One bartender in particular was very dismissive towards paying guests. His name was Brian. There were three bartenders named Brian, this was the Hispanic looking twink. Asking for a beer seemed to be an issue for him as he was busy entertaining his friends and off duty employees. We paid $2300 to stay at New Orleans House to be treated like we didn’t belong by this Brian character. One couple who was there the same week actually left and stayed at another resort because of how they were being treated. Bottom line, if you’re looking to stay at a gay resort, go with Island House. It will cost you a bit more, but I hear the service is Impeccable.

Can’t beat the location. All the employees were fantastic - from the front desk, to bar staff, to housekeeping, everyone was so welcoming. It’s important to remember that it’s an older building, so if you want the Hilton, then go stay there. The back patio bar is clothing optional, but not required. There are plenty of people doing both. No pressure, no discomfort. Would definitely stay again!

Great location. Lots of things to do in the area. Fun place to hang out. Front desk not so friendly though. Breakfast is kind of the same as any chain hotel. Showers were very unpredictable with temperature.
