Me and my husband had been staying at this property for the past 15 years after taking 3 years off we returned May 30th to find out that the property is not all male anymore its everyone is welcome (not to be mistaken for pride or special events). I am very big supporter to the cummintiy if you are going to be all welcome then change your website that says all male. I complained to all employees some agreed other just said this is what the owner is trying.

We have been to Key West many times but decided to give this place a try. Prior reviews don't really take into consideration that it is a gay, clothing optional place. You don't have to be nude, it is just optional and most guests are not. It is focused on time at the pool and the night life. They warn you there is some noise but not as bad as I thought it would be. We stayed in Room 25. It was clean but a little tired. We stayed two nights and had no problem even taking a nap in the afternoon. The staff is always very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. It would be nice if they had darker curtains on the room to help block the sun and the a/c kept it nice but not really cold cold. We will be back as we had a nice time.

The good: The chap who checked us in was really friendly and helpful, as was the pool barman. Super location right on Duval. Breakfast on an atmospheric terrace/verandah overlooking Duval. Free drinks for guests at happy hour by the fun pool side bar. A reasonably nice pool to cool off in and a hot tub. The not so good: It’s not clear what this place is. It’s not really a guest house with focus on being a guest house, it’s actually a bar/club with another bar by the pool in the garden, and they have rooms dovetailed here and there. Let’s be clear there is no focus on peaceful lodging, the focus is entirely on the nightlife. We booked a garden room understanding it would be quiet ... not the case. On check in you are requested to sign a waiver that you accept your stay might be noisy. I did question this and was told the garden rooms are well isolated. If you want a holiday in a bar/club with all the trappings of the gay scene like a labyrinth and go-go boys exposing themselves to thumping music until 4am then this is the place for you. If however you want a peaceful stay this is absolutely NOT the place. For clarity I have no problem with going out on the town but I would not expect paying guests to be accommodated in the middle of a night club. Our room was small, bed comfy enough but lumpy. Bathroom a reasonable size but not overly clean - dirt and body hair on floor behind basin and in corners, shower curtain mouldy, linens generally old and bed linen a little grubby with light staining. This place is just grubby with ingrained dirt and dirty surfaces. The nice looking pool in lush garden is off limits to all but the occupier of the private bungalow. All the garden furniture poor, rusting, mouldy or grotty. The whole place felt tatty and needs a makeover. Air con was old and noisy, didn’t really deliver cold air even if you could put up with noise. Very overpriced - better places available in same price range. Poor breakfast with coffee in yucky styrofoam. Soap/shampoo in bathroom minimal. No daily room cleaning (I’ve never stayed anywhere where there is no daily service). This place is just cheap and tawdry from virtually every direction you look in ... except the price. Perhaps if cost were lower to reflect quality it might be ok, but $250 a night is a rip off.

We stayed in a room on the pool deck for four nights. We had so much fun! Not to mention, you get free happy hour drinks at the Garden Bar when you’re a guest of the hotel. The whole experience was new for us, but we had so much fun and met some great people. We will be returning! It’s also a great location where you are within a 20-30-minute walk of almost anything!

Staying in Key West is expensive to begin with, NOH offers a really nice alternative for visitors. What i enjoyed the most is the fact that the staffs are all very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very relaxed and laid back. Yes. It is a clothing optional resort, you can get tanned on the roof, on the balcony and relax by the pool. Plenty of chairs people can lounge at. We stayed at 23B and the room was right above the bar downstairs. We came prepared with ear plugs, but I fell asleep each night without even the needs to use ear plugs. But for those who are sensitive to sound and require complete silence at night time, just be prepared. Overall, I think this is a unique experience and recommend for those who are interested

What a great vacation experience in Key West this time. And the New Orleans house made it an awesome stay. Great staff, clean room with a nice breakfast. And Fresh hot coffee to wake up to. And to make this visit super special they put a very nice bottle of champagne in our room for my husbands birthday. Any problems with the room were taken care of immediately. Highly Recommend. Thanks, Rob and Jordan B. From Pennsylvania

Great place, in great location, in the middle of it all. I was in a room at the back patio which I highly enjoyed. The bar next to the pool bar works a social hub even for people outside the hotel. Room small but all correct. All the staff really friendly. seemed a reasonable price for pricy Key west. I would go back!

Just spent three weeks at New Orleans House. As always, everyone was friendly, helpful, and fun. Thank you to Chris at the front desk, bartenders Claire, Dane, Mark, Jason, Jeff, Sean, Marky Mark, and Jeff. And, especially Tyler. And, Eugene and Brent. The maintenance men, Rick and Chris, are constantly working to keep the resort looking clean, fresh, and relaxing. During my three weeks, I never had any issues or problems. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

My partner and I along with 4 other friends stayed here for Gay Pride June 7th thru the 11th.We have stayed there every year for over 10 years. The location is excellent and the rooms are usually very well maintained but pricey which is normal for Key West. Our room this time was room 24 on the grand balcony at the front of the hotel. The room was large and comfortable. The staff as usual was very friendly and helpful. My issues with the hotel concern some of the events scheduled for Gay Pride. One event was publicized as being a "men only" event. However there were many women roaming all over the place even up on the back balcony, even though there was a sign stating "guests only". There was no control over this by staff. During the "Cocktail Classic being held Saturday in front of the hotel, being in room 24 on the front balcony we elected to watch from the balcony. During this time we were "invaded" by a reality TV star(?) and her entourage along with tv cameras. There were small children with them who were out of control and they totally took over the whole area. At times we could not even get to our room. I am sure the hotel management agreed to let them use this space before their show but it would have been nice if the staff had advised the guests in the rooms located on the balcony that this was going to happen. If they had we would have watched the show from the street. These issues will probably keep us from visiting during Gay Pride next year or if we do we will stay somewhere else.
