This two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom, 2-story townhome located in scenic Truman Annex in Old Town is conveniently located near all the reasons you came to Key West yet offers a quiet respite for relaxation and comfort.
Bahamian Reed offers a gourmet kitchen, a bright cheery dining area, and a living room (with a queen sleeper sofa) with two sets of French doors that open to a private deck for al fresco enjoyment. Upstairs is the master suite with a king bed and twins in the guest bedroom (that converts to king). Balconies off both bedrooms let you feel the tropical breezes as you sit with a cup of tea or afternoon cocktail. The shared full bathroom has a large vanity and two sinks for easy access.
The community pool is a short stroll away for sunbathing or cooling off. Or grab some Cuban sandwiches at a nearby deli and head to Ft. Zachary Taylor State Park to picnic under the pines. And don’t forget your snorkeling equipment for the best spot on the island.
Later, walk a couple of blocks to Duval Street for some shopping, people-watching, and dining at a white tablecloth, ethnic or casual restaurant. Listen to some live music at a variety of bars or head to the waterfront for a gorgeous sunset at Mallory Square.

Parking Details: - One parking space per unit, no guest parking. - No vehicle over 18’ long or 80” wide allowed. - No large trucks, trailers, mobile homes, vans, campers or similar vehicles shall be parked in the Truman Annex. - Motorcycles and scooters must be parked in the parking lot and not on sidewalks or porches. - All vehicles parked within the community must either have a permanent parking sticker or a temporary parking pass (obtained at the Security Guardhouse). - All others will be subject to ticketing and towing.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. Beautiful comfortable perfect condo for 4
The condo was perfect for four adults! Beautiful, updated, comfortable, well appointed. We even had 2 others stay over the weekend…they slept on the pull out couch. The Truman Annex is an oasis and delight in Key West. The only thing is that we only had one parking spot. We rented a car and an electric cart. If we had known we wouldn’t have rented car and caught shuttle to and from airport. The electric cart was a must have for old town Key West which is totally walkable. We also Uber’d to some places that were short on parking. I give the condo an A+ and 5 stars! 😊

Had a lovely adult family getaway
Visited Key West with my parents, sister, and spouse. This property afforded plenty of space for us all along with ample seating both inside and out to spend time together or to have a little quiet time alone. The property was comfortable and looked just as it is in the posting's photos. The only concern I will share that I didn't see elsewhere is the staircase felt a little more narrow and tall than others - not a problem but just be aware if you have anyone with issues going up and down stairs, they may need some assistance.
Location was great; so much was within walking distance. A 24-hour CVS is only 2 blocks away. The area was very quiet, even with so much being so close. I didn't have any contact with the property manager while there so that's why I didn't say that was excellent - there was no way to say n/a so I couldn't really rate it. We didn't use the pool so I can't speak to that either.
Overall I would recommend this property. It was clean, well-maintained, comfortable, and in a great location. Covered parking space also came in handy!

Great property, great area!
The property is just as pictured. Nicely decorated, tropical colors, clean and well maintained inside and out. Truman Annex is a lovely gated and historical area beautiful to stroll and take in the scenery. All the amenities available, towels, linens, plates, paper towels etc. Short walk to Mallory Square and all of Duval Street. AC and ceiling fans throughout. I would definitely stay here again! Easy to communicate with host if you need anything and quick to respond.

Terrible Property Manager
Lisa @ Home in Key West made it very clear she was maintenance, not customer service and resented having to speak with customers on a Saturday afternoon. She acknowledged at 5 minutes til 4pm (check in time) the keys and directions to our unit were not in the lock box yet and that she wouldn't put them in until 4pm. She also refused to discuss the location of the property. The property was not as clean as represented, in particular, the patio and the floors were not clean. Truman Annex is a great location. Loved the nearby beach. Message to Unit Owner - Get a new property manager. I happened to meet the property manager for the unit next to you (to the right as you're leaving) as they settled the tenants in that unit. Very nice and very customer oriented.

This property was in a great location..only one thing the kitchen and bathrooms need updating...it was functional but I had those cabinets in my house in 1983. The owners seem frugal with a cable/internet company we have never heard of and furnishings dated. Other than that.. very nice back yard with outdoor seating where we ate most of our meals.

Had a wonderful stay at the Bahamian Reed. The townhome was on a quiet street, directly next to parking, and a short stroll from the neighborhood pool. The house provided the basics (except for grill), was comfortable and clean, but is ready for some cosmetic updates.

Truman Annex Townhome
This property was in the perfect location; easy walking distance from Duval Street, but very quiet. The walk to the water by Mallory Square was doable, but a little long. Same can be said about the beach at Fort Zachary. Rent some bikes and the whole island is at your fingertips. We recommend We Cycle because it’s a block or two away from the house on Southard. The house was the perfect size for our family of 4. Slightly outdated, but was clean and had everything you would need. We would definitely stay there again!

Great Place in a Great Location
This condo was ideal! It was well-appointed and equipped. The location in the Truman Annex was perfect...close to restaurants, bars, sights and activities, yet in a quiet location!
The only negative was the awkwardness of he check-in process. This is the only location, of many we’ve rented thru VRBO, where we had to pick up and drop off the keys from the rental agency, rather than having them in a lockbox on site (or similar arrangement) as the agency is a mile or more from the property!

Very nice and well maintained property in the gated Truman Annex. Absolutely clean and comfortable. Super easy and friendly check-in. Pool was less than a 2 minute walk on a quiet interior sidewalk and not crowded. Would rent this property again in a heartbeat. Close to everything. Really enjoyed it.

Wonderful, quiet place, and only a 4-5 minute walk to Duval Street. A lot of kitchen ware, plenty of towels, washing machine and dryer, the place offered everything we needed. They even chilled the community pool a little, so that you could actually cool off :-)
