Located in the wonderful city of Kensington with its historic downtown area, parks & green space, and convenient rail service to Washington. More specifically the house is in the Homewood subdivision of Kensington on a quiet street that ends at a park about a block away.
This is a thoughtfully furnished home with a large yard, outdoor seating, and driveway parking for 2 cars. It has a total of 4 bedrooms, and 4 full baths on 3 levels. The front door opens to a open floor plan featuring the living-room, open kitchen with counter seating and dining area with table for 6. The gourmet kitchen features stainless steel appliances, counter seating, and granite countertops. There is a full bath off the main room on this level and a den. The den has a day bed with a trundle bed (2 twin beds) and an attached full bath.
The top floor has another 2 bedrooms and the third full bath, the spacious MBR has a king bed and a sitting area with a sofa. The third bedroom in the house has a twin bed. The lower level is like a separate apartment, perfect for visitors, in-home help, and teens. It features a comfy sitting area, kitchenette, the fourth bedroom with a queen bed, and the fourth full bath with shower. The laundry room is on this level as well. From the lower level exit directly out to the patio with seating made comfortable year-round; there is a full shade for summer use and a fire pit to keep you cozy in cooler weather. The large yard is unfenced. You will find a park at the end of Ferndale St enjoyed by many neighborhood kids and dogs.
You will find extensive upgrades including new carpet, hardwood floors, HVAC, and windows. Lots of light from the many windows and the recessed lighting.
