I absolutely loved this hotel! I was checked in by Carline. Carline is a warm, enthusiastic young lady with a truly hospitable attitude. She is a great asset to this hotel. She made me feel welcome from the moment she began interacting with me. After she checked me in I heard her speaking to another guest and she displayed the same type of attitude. Kudos to the Front desk team! I was assigned a room on the first floor. Carline told me that the rooms on the first floor have higher ceilings and she was right. I stayed in a corner room and I found it roomy, comfortable, and clean. This is the type of place that you go to when you are traveling with a group of people (In particular, those with kids.) I was worried that being on the lobby level might be noisy but this was not the case at all! I found this hotel very convenient to the DC area. Google Maps told tried to direct me to use a city bus when I was looking for directions to the metro station, but I used Uber instead. I would highly recommend you do this, as well, if you do not have a car during your stay. From the Silver Spring station it was an easy ride to downtown DC. I highly recommend this hotel. All of the staff that I interacted with (front desk, housekeeping) was warm and friendly. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable. What else could you ask for?

I am relocating to the D.C Metro area and the folks at the Residence Inn Silver Spring treated me like family. They greeted me every time they saw me, delivered packages to my room, and genuinely cared. The room was clean, well maintained, and the kitchen was fantastic. This was a great place to stay while I was looking for a place to live. I highly recommend this hotel.

Easy hotel to get to, if driving, just off 95. Very close and easy to UMD. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and tried to accommodate any requests. Breakfast was also very good and freshly prepared. Will stay here again while visiting the university. Only complaint was that it did seem overpriced.

The hotel was in a perfect location for us. We have stayed there before and we will try to stay there again. There are many restaurants nearby and a shopping mall across the road. The breakfast was the same daily but with enough variety that you could take different food each day and the cooked food was well prepared. Our complains were noises in our room. The refrigerator made the most unusual noise at night, an electronic squeal that could be silenced only momentarily. We could not make an progress over a five day stay getting that noise silenced. I am not sure that maintenance ever came to the room to examine the noise. Also the heater/ac was built into the wall right next to the head of the bed. It would wake us up when it came on in the night. All in all, Residence Inn is a stable and consistent Marriott brand. Not fancy but clean and comfortable and generally worth the nightly fee.

In a suburban area, shopping plaza across St. 5 mins from U of MD. FRIENDLY STAFF , ultra clean property...ice maker in room was very slow...breakfast was bountiful and attended to when requested. 4th floor was very quiet

The hotel was ok, service was ok. The room was less than appealing, it didn't smell fresh and there was a hole in the carpet (living room). Could have used a better cleaning. The struggle I have had with a few Residence Inns in the past is lack of thorough cleaning. They claim deep cleaning after a pet stays, however I have yet to encounter one where I can walk with socks on that don't turn brown from the uncleanliness.

I had a number of options to stay in College park, MD. I selected Residence Inn Silver Spring as it is close to the Univ of Maryland in College park. At the end of our 10-day stay, the whole family realized that it was an excellent choice. The hotel was excellent in terms of the staff, the suite we stayed in, and the complimentary breakfast and the social mix during the week. The hotel is less than 10 minutes drive to the University and withing walking distance to a small shopping center and restaurants. I would stay here again if I am in the Washington DC .

Had stayed here for almost a month. Spacious rooms, with a kitchenette, full size refrigerators, dishwasher, microwave, hover, dishes, pots and pans available. Good housing keeping and front desk staff specially Lucan. No shuttle service available for airport or nearby areas which definitely a negative point if you don't have personal vehicle. Room rents are bit high compare to other Marriot properties. Breakfast is good and fresh but lack of varieties. If you stayed more than a week cant like to have same alternate breakfast everyday either Turkey sausages or vegetable and bacon. Evening welcome drinks are available from Monday till Wednesday without any alcoholic beverages not even beers. In fact this property doesn't have liquor license at all. Gym is nice but small only two tread mill and one cycling again give you headache if you want to access them in busy hours. Moreover gyms are available from Morning 6 am till 11 pm not for 24 hrs. unlike other properties. Internet speed is OK. Guest self help laundry is available at ground floor. Safety locker available in rooms which is a good thing. Overall this property is average for value for money.

We were staying 2 nights with our 3 young kids and booked a 1 bedroom suite with a pull-out sofa. We called ahead to say that we would be arriving late at night with sleeping children and asked if they could have the sofa bed set up for us. They were more than happy to accommodate and went a step further by offering us a suite on the ground floor near a back door to make the transfer as smooth as possible. We were so impressed! Rest of the stay was great as well!

Had to stay for 2 weeks. It was a little off the beaten path, but it ended up being a good location, across from a shopping center with a Super Target, Kohls, and restaurants. Nice, clean, and helpful staff.
