Stayed here for a few days while in business. Breakfast is excellent, rooms are spacious, and location to Riderwood is good. They charged me an extra night bc I checked out late and they won't fix it.
From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave everything is shining clean , helpful and amazing! Kudos to all. Breakfast, pool, work out room tiny. All hotels need to be trained by this staff! Target and shopping across the street. Once again amazing hotel and staff! Thanks
The rooms are spacious with all needs provided - large screen TV, Bathroom facilities to truly unwind, places to work efficiently and a table/chairs for private sessions or eating. Caroline helps on checking to ensure the most efficient access to your room and helping with arrangements for transportation, giving information on shopping needs, transportation, and area eating. Morgan supplies all the information on the multiple mouth-watering options for breakfast and will even help make you your own personal tasty waffles. She also helps with those with special dietary requirements. Friendly Eliza ensures that your room optimizes both your productivity and relaxation. There is available a large outdoor pool which is easy to access and a workout room - both to help to eliminate all those extra calories you enjoyed at its tasty breakfast.
Three families travelled to Maryland for a wedding. We of course chose the Marriott because of their service, room size and convenience. We were so thrilled with this property. The hotel staff was so accommodating and helpful. The rooms were beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The beds are so comfortable, I never wanted to leave! The buffet breakfast was also very tasty and there were many choices to eat. My only disappointment was the pool hours which were only from 4-8 p.m. during the week. There was a life guard which was great. No other Marriott properties I have stayed in has had a life guard. Also, the fitness center was very small, and there was no exercise bike. Other than that, great location, with a strip mall right across the street with Target and a grocery store. Will come again!
We recently visited and the rooms were clean and the staff was excellent! Nice breakfast in the morning and if they were out they would gladly get more for you in the back kitchen! Would use this hotel again.
This is a nice hotel; friendly staff (especially Carline at the front desk), clean, convenient for a trip to the FDA. Not close to the Metro, though, so Uber is needed for a trip into DC. On Wednesday had a local food truck available for dinner; a nice touch.
Room was spacious with excellent kitchen facilities. Room makeup was slow but adequate. Amenities very nice. Our only complaint was that the business center computer needed to check in for our return flight was ridiculously slow, painfully slow. The front desk staff was very friendly and very accommodating.
I don't know how this place has the reviews it does. First of all, the first room we checked into smelled of intense pee. Thank goodness we were moved into another room. Then, we went out to the pool, and the gates were locked. So I asked the front desk, ended up waiting 40+ minutes outside with my two little ones (7 month & 2 yr old) for them to unlock the gate. I travel a lot, and seldom see such unresponsive service. Never coming back, I'd advise not coming here.
I absolutely loved this hotel! I was checked in by Carline. Carline is a warm, enthusiastic young lady with a truly hospitable attitude. She is a great asset to this hotel. She made me feel welcome from the moment she began interacting with me. After she checked me in I heard her speaking to another guest and she displayed the same type of attitude. Kudos to the Front desk team! I was assigned a room on the first floor. Carline told me that the rooms on the first floor have higher ceilings and she was right. I stayed in a corner room and I found it roomy, comfortable, and clean. This is the type of place that you go to when you are traveling with a group of people (In particular, those with kids.) I was worried that being on the lobby level might be noisy but this was not the case at all! I found this hotel very convenient to the DC area. Google Maps told tried to direct me to use a city bus when I was looking for directions to the metro station, but I used Uber instead. I would highly recommend you do this, as well, if you do not have a car during your stay. From the Silver Spring station it was an easy ride to downtown DC. I highly recommend this hotel. All of the staff that I interacted with (front desk, housekeeping) was warm and friendly. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable. What else could you ask for?
I am relocating to the D.C Metro area and the folks at the Residence Inn Silver Spring treated me like family. They greeted me every time they saw me, delivered packages to my room, and genuinely cared. The room was clean, well maintained, and the kitchen was fantastic. This was a great place to stay while I was looking for a place to live. I highly recommend this hotel.
