Very helpful staff. Accommodation is fine for short stay. I think in Iceland, you would want to be out exploring, not inside the hotel. So this place is just fine. There is access to public transportation and there is an airport shuttle with minimal fee.
Very simple but comfortable accommodations for our party of 3. Airport is very close by. There’s an honor bar where you can get beverages and light snacks. Not much to do within walking distance, but a place called Cafe Duus was within walking distance for dinner.
The hotel was walking distance to many restaurants. I emailed them in the morning to see if the room was ready for early check in and they responded promptly letting me know that it was. They had a nice spread for breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.
Hotel was very in a nice quiet area. We were able to walk to the main street easily. Unfortunately they were doing construction while we were there. We spoke to a woman at the front desk and she seemed unapologetic and said there was nothing that could be done about it since they were sold out. Would ...
Stayed when we had a 18 hour layover, and really appreciated the easy and free shuttle service. Would highly recommend booking one if the small cabins, they're wonderful, private and unusual in a great way. Swana the staff was great, helpful and really enjoyable to talk to.
This hotel is a quick walk from Keflavik international airport. We arrived from Italy after 1:00am and needed a place close by and easy to get to. This was it. (I did the research in advance and booked it. No other options I could find.) The staff was friendly and helpful, even at 2:00am.
Old timey hotel provides stuck in the 80s ambience. Pretend you’re staying at a retro hotel, and it’s a good deal then. It is clean and comfy, once you look past the decor. Staff are super friendly and accommodating.
I travel extensively. I just became a Million Miler with a major US air carrier. I've been told I fly more than US pilots. I have top tier hotel status with Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott and IHG chains. I'm very picky about where I stay. I didn't have much option when I stayed at this guesthouse and dreaded the thought of staying in a 2 star hotel. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The check-in was flawless, the owner was a great guy and the accomodations were excellent. The only thing I didn't like was shared bathrooms but since I checked out at 4:00 a.m. to catch an early morning flight, it really wasn't a big deal for me. Why spend $200+ in Iceland when you can spend a fraction and stay at this hidden gem. I strongly recommend it.

Would have appreciated a bit of a warning before booking. Very nice place but staff did not seem willing to accommodate.
This facility is located in the middle of an industrial zone of Hafnarfjordur (a town just outside of Reykjavik), so you will need to rent a car. There is a hotel right across from T10, which can help with other transportation options, and I understand there is also a public bus stop with service to Reykjavik in front of that hotel. Despite the industrial look of the area, it gets quiet off hours and there is a beautiful walk/bike lane 5 minutes from T10 that passes along a lava field and into the more picturesque downtown area. There are 2 large supermarkets and a number of pubs and restaurants all within a few blocks. The free breakfast is a plus (simple, but adequate). Our room was large enough to accommodate 3 people. It has a private bathroom with a sink, toilet, and a shower. Be careful when turning on hot water--you can get scorched; also it has a slight sulphur smell. The cold water is well...really cold... and incredibly tasty. No need to buy bottled water. The beds are reasonably comfortable; the pillow was a bit too thick for me. The room was equipped with TV with 3 channels, all in German, but it has excellent free wifi. Our room also had a small refrigerator. The room was cleaned every day; the towels are replaced upon request (but at least twice a week). Our bedding was also replaced once during the week. On the second floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen and a dining corner for guests. The owner and the staff are very pleasant and helpful.
