Staff very friendly when picked up late at airport. Accommodations were fine, shower a little tricky to work and being down the hall was something new for me. But this was a great place for a layover and the breakfast is nice in the morning.

Very convenient for late arrivals or early departures from the airport. The staff were friendly and provide free transportation to and from the airport. The room was clean and comfortable, and I never had to wait for one of the shared bathrooms. There's a little sink in the room. Free smorgasbord style breakfast was provided from 4 am til 10 am and included cereals, deli cold cuts, yogurts, a waffle maker, fruit and assorted juices and teas. Given the general expense of buying food in Iceland it was a huge perk to be able to eat a big free breakfast before heading to the airport. There were no TVs in the guestrooms, which I felt was a plus because it meant the rooms were quiet at night [this place is meant for sleeping, basically, not hanging out.] I will definitely stay there again on future trips to Iceland, especially on our first or last night. It's quite convenient to the blue lagoon, which is closer to Kef Guesthouse than it is to Reykjavik, and there's a nearby Jeep rental for exploring the rest of the country from here. In short, I highly recommend this for budget conscious travelers looking for quiet and convenience. It's no frills, but everything you need. One caveat--its proximity to the airport means you can hear nearby takeoffs and landings. They registered for me as white noise, but some might find it an issue.

From start to finish and everything in between - very pleasant experience. Airport pick up, shuttle ride to the Blue Lagoon and back, drop off at the airport - all quick and efficient.

Guesthouse with modest rooms, close to the airport. Helpful staff. Shuttle to the airport and nearby locatons 24hours and any weather. Definitely, it has no "sea view" as shown. This guesthouse offers "puddle on the parking view" only. It is firmly bordered from the sea with a huge hill, probably, protecting it from the wind (or supposed to do it).

All was well, we arrived later in the day. I wrote a few days in advance that we wanted a room with 2 twin beds instead of one double bed (the same order), and the staff switched our room upon our arrival to twin beds, after some initial confusion. The staff was friendly and efficient, the room very clean, the shared toilets worked great (clean, modern, new, convenient), and the breakfast was good. Contacting the hotel prior to arrival was easy, and responses were prompt.

We stayed here upon arriving very late at the airport with a 1.5 year old. Though we had to wait about 10-15 minutes the person did come to pick us up in a van. The Guest House is close to the airport, 7 minute drive or so. This is NOT a hotel, not a bed and breakfast, but a guest house. The rooms are small, but clean and adequate with clean linens and a sink. The shared bathrooms (2 on our floor) were very clean with a pretty nice shower. I did wish they'd had hand towels or something to dry your hands with though! There was no hotel staff or front desk at the location we stayed at, the man who dropped us off brough in and set up the crib (pack n play), gave us our keys, told us about breakfast, etc. There is a shared kitchen area, with a few tables. Breakfast was simple, but fine. They did have a full kitchen if you decided you wanted to cook something yourselves. There was staff at breakfast to clean up, restock, etc who were very friendly. I think most people just stay for 1 night coming or going from the airport, I wouldn't want to stay for much longer, but it was nice for what we needed. There just aren't a lot of hotel options, we found, in the area, so this worked for us! Oh, no evelator though! So we had to lug all our stuff up stairs. For 'check out' you just drop your keys in a box.

Very close to airport. Free shuttle. Breakfast included. Very nice staff.

Exactly what I needed--close to blue lagoon and the airport so could stop by and get some much needed R&R at the lagoon the evening before I had to catch an early flight. Shared bathroom was much cleaner than I expected. Just need to have your own toiletries.

It was OK for a place to sleep other than the airport. The outside was pretty unappealing, the shared bathrooms took some getting used to and the included breakfast pretty minimal. Three stars might be a bit much, but it worked for us in that situation...

Gets the job done. Comfortable room. Shared kitchenette and bathrooms, but they were clean. One oddity: had to remove shoes at front door, but it did seem to keep inside clean.

Hello Dime It is excellent to hear you liked our service. We apologize for the current state of the surrounding parking lot area. It is currently under major renovations, because winter coming.
