For my visit at Cognex Germany i stayed at this hotel. It's a nice modern hotel with friendly employees and nice rooms. Furthermore if you like nature, within 5 minutes you can be walking trough Waldstadt, a big forest.
I feel like the people who rate this hotel highly have never stayed in a proper hotel before. This is a family run business and sure, they’re nice people, but this is my 8th or 9th stay here (I stay a few times a year for work) and this will be my last time. I will beg my company to put me somewhere else next time. On my hands and knees. The bedrooms vary from average with a double bed to horrible with a tiny single bed. There’s no air conditioning, just a €5 fan from Argos. The front desk are a mixture of lovely young people who will get you what you need, to a tired clapped out old guy who won’t tell you why the ‘gym’ is inexplicably closed. I say ‘gym’ because really it’s a few treadmills and a £60 weight bench you could have in your home garage. You need an iron to iron your shirts for a work event? Good luck!! There’s one ironing board in the entire hotel. You can go get an iron at reception, but it’s almost entirely potluck whether you can get an ironing board to go with it. And if the ironing board isn’t available they don’t tell you, just give you the iron on it’s own - great help - thanks guys 👍🏻 Breakfast is distinctly average ‘European breakfast.’ If you’re from England, don’t expect a decent breakfast. This is the most honest review you’ll ever read of this hotel so hope it helps. If you just need s bed for a night or two, sure, go for it. If you’re on a business trip or you’re here for an extended visit - don’t punish yourself. Stay in a real hotel.
Stayed one night as part of a 2 week cycling holiday.what a treat, bikes made very welcome and were put in to a secure room within the hotel..very,very,quiet.lovely large room with big en-suite,super clean.breakfast was absolutely unbelievable.buffet style with every conceivable breakfast item available.it was amazing, and better than any breakfast we have had before in much more expensive hotels.staff were very friendly and helpful.cannot recommend enough.thank you.
Stopped off here on long drive south for the night, place was very clean, rooms were small but adequate. Bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke and had the poorest shower. Breakfast was very good, fresh and such a wide choice of food. Was good value shame about the bathroom.
We visited relatives in Karlsruhe and Dettenheim the hotel is just perfectly suited in the middle between our location. The room was just perfect. The breakfast is one of the best we had, the variety of food is outstanding and all tasted good. If we come back to Karlsruhe we stay at Aviva again.
As we had a small "tour de Germany" in October 2018. we decided to base our hotel in Karlsruhe. It is located a bit away from the city center but bus and tram connections are great if you need it. It has its own free parking if you are with a car. Room was nice, clean and warm but the best part was breakfast. At first seems small but when you take a closer look variety of food is spectacular and delicious! We were traveling every day to a different city but coming back in the evening so if you plan to visit Stuttgart, Baden - Baden, Heidelberg or even Frankfurt this could be a great choice to stay overnight.
Was on my way south to visit a few spots in Luxembourg, and France during a free weekend. Spotted this hotel which was reasonably priced for a single bed. The bed was very comfortable and clean, the room was efficient, but not overly petit. Sound proofing as excellent. I noted that there were a large contingent of families overnighting at the Hotel on their way to ski. Outside of city centre which made it easy to access and then decide if you wanted to see the city. City offers a nice Schloss and park to walk around, but you need to drive closer in. Only drawback, which is really insignificant was the reception and breakfast areas seem to collide with each other making it feel cramped. Well stocked free breakfast selection as well.
A good hotel for the traveler, ideally located just outside the main town. Very clean and spacious rooms. Only downside is no restaurant so we ended up with McDonalds a la carte ! Breakfast in the morning was plentyful.
We booked a familyroom on our way back from the south. It was a massive, modern looking room with two big beds, Tv with sky channels, coffee and tea in the room as well as great free wifi and parking at the hotel. Friendly service and great restaurant in the neighbourhood (san felice). Great place to come back to.
Typical German hotel Very clean Very functional Staff excellent & spoke very good English Bar area is seating with a large TV & a fridge full of beer and wine which is paid for at reception alongside. No Restuarant but staff recommended a Greek place 10 mins away which was great. Excellent breakfast with everything you could ask for . Room got warm and no Aircon but each room had a fan supplied.
