We stayed in the deluxe suite with a balcony it was great!! Awesome beds and room. It was so beautiful. Right in the center of town. Great views, really friendly staff. Really great food in the restaurant. Quite surroundings. Spa 1 min from the hotel
Fantastic hotel; perfect convenient location; great delicious food; very friendly & professional staff; amazing huge rooms with balconies. Highly recommend this hotel if you decide to visit Karlovy Vary.
Stayed last week during the week end. This hotel is am mix of good things and bad things. I was thinking what should I write to express the right feeling we had. The last item which made my mind is also a negative one. Booked the hotel via booking.com. The hotel pre-authorized 5000CZK out of the total 6800CZK one week before our arrival. At check out, I explicitly asked the receptionist to either first cancel the pre-authorization, or to finalize the transaction and debit the remaining amount. I do this, because most of the hotel have the bad habit NOT to cancel the pre-authorization. This way, you will have that amount blocked on your card for 30 days. The receptionist apparently did it, but I found two days after, that he in fact did not do it. Now, I either have to wait for a month, or two go to the bank and ask for cancellation with the proof of my payment. Among the pluses, what is relevant: - breakfast is really good and with lot of options. Fruits, cereals, tones of cheeses, various types of bread, fish, salami, pastries, vegetables, salads, etc. One of the best breakfast I had lately. - they do a proper cleaning in the rooms. - comfortable mattress, pillows and sparkling white bed sheets. Minuses. Apart the one mentioned at the begining: - not all the rooms are in the same conditions. Even if they mention some of them have air conditioning, this is not the only difference. The ones from 1st and 2nd floors are not refurbished. When you are on the halls, you have the impression you are in a student dorm from 1990 post communist period. The doors are looking very creepy. Also the bathrooms are old. They were very clean, but again, they look like a 1990 hotel. In total contradiction with the architecture of the building. Those rooms needs also a change of the carpets which do not look really maintained and definitely new painting. - the entrance of the hotel does look too welcoming. - overpriced. 130€/night in May...
This is a very comfortable hotel with a very good location, decent rooms and an excellent breakfast. We stayed in a Deluxe room and paid € 110 per night for it to include breakfast. This was on an advance purchase rate. The room itself is on the third floor. You enter into a small vestibule containing a mirror, wardrobe and doors to both the bathroom and bedroom. The bathroom is compact but fully serviceable with a washbasin, toilet and shower (no bath but then I never use a bath anyway). This bedroom is spacious with a super king bed, dresser containing a minibar dressing table and a coffee table and four chairs. The windows open onto a balcony with a view over the Wooden and Spring Colonnades. The balcony has a table and two chairs on it. The only negative point I can find about the room is that it isn’t air conditioned. All the members of staff at the hotel are very friendly and speak good English. They were all very helpful. Breakfast is wonderful. There are a few hot dishes, a vast array of cold appetisers and a good selection of cakes and pastries. There was also a selection of fruit juices, cereals, fruits and toast and preserves. Almost all the dishes appeared to change each day. I would be delighted to stay here again. Should I return to Karlovy Vary I will stay here.
A couple years ago, I came to Karlovy Vary and stayed in that famous hotel down the street. This time, I decided to check out a different hotel. I couldn't have made a better decision. The staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet is bountiful with an amazing array of local and traditional treats. You won't be able to sample everything, I promise you, even with a few days here. The room is excellent. I guess since it is off-season, they upgraded my room and I was on the 5th floor. It wasn't a city view room, but still, I had a nice window and could see out to the street. The bathroom is large and upscale. There was an entrance way in my room where the bedroom was separate from the closets, etc. and 2 doors away from the bathroom. The location couldn't be better. It is right in front of the Holy Trinity statue and the Spring Colonnade. Everything in town is accessible from here...it's a very centralized location. I wore my feet out during the two days I was here. Hint, if you like to walk and don't mind hills, keep walking up the hill in front of the hotel and go to St. Peter and Paul's church and keep walking, because you'll soon find yourself back in the other section of town near the Bus terminal. All in all, a wonderful stay in an amazing spa town.
My dear amazing hotel.. the view is breathtaking. the balcony is awesome. Soooo romantic. Staff are just great. Location at the heart of where you want to be. Breakfast is good. We went there like three times and will never chose different hotel when in Karlovy Vary.
1) Hotel Room is exactly like the pictures. Love the hotel cleanliness. Hotel also has carpark (very limited). Location is very good, in the middle of almost everything. There's breakfast at the hotel too, and it's very good. Gotta try it. 2) Service Service at concierge is good. There is spa service at the hotel, and massage as well. But if you are into hard pressing massage, the massage might not be for you.
The room was exactly as described in the pictures. Classic, clean and with a view. The bed was very comfortable. The service was very good. The girl spoke perfect english and was really helpful. Also the breakfast, which was included, had a wide variey of cereals, cold meats, pastry, cheese to choose from. Sadly we only stayed for one night but I would come back.
We stayed in Hotel Romance Puskin for 2 nights. Great location, opposite the Castle Spa which we went to. Its a lovely quiet somewhat old fashioned hotel that offered us a comfortable stay. The rooms were beautifully furnished, spacious and we had a lovely view from the balcony. The meals were also very good.
Just returned from the trip, where me and my wife booked the hotel and spa treatment all together on the hotel web-site + some e-mails to clarify the details. All in all, great place to stay. The Castle Spa is just across the road, literally, 20 m from the hotel front door. Breakfast is very reach and doesn't really comply with the diet prescriptions of the doctors, but hey, you decide what to choose. We only booked the room with breakfast and I think this is the best you can do. No need to have a full board, when you walking around the town and there are a lot of eateries for any pocket depth. Beds are exceptional. Tea and coffee with the kettle in room are complimentary. We also got two bottles of local water every day, which was nice of the hotel to provide. Wi-fi in the room is kind of spotty, probably because we were on the 4th floor. You can get the unlimited speed wi-fi for additional 10 euro per week, but if you book directly with the hotel, this premium service is free when you arrive and ask for it. Sleep quality is superb. The town is quiet anyway, but the doors and windows in the rooms are of great quality and whatever happens outside doesn't bother you (unless this is NY fireworks). Highly recommend!
