Disappointing Experience Our stay at this 4-star hotel in Karlovy Vary was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival, we found there was no hot water and the heating didn’t work. Despite informing the receptionist at 11:30 AM, nothing was fixed by the time we returned in the evening. Communication was nearly impossible as the receptionist spoke no English—unacceptable for a hotel in a popular tourist destination. She was completely unprofessional, strolling around all day with a vape machine in her hand, moaning, and appearing intoxicated or disoriented. After hours of excuses and delays, the issue was only resolved late at night after repeated complaints. Even after the heating was fixed, the room remained freezing. To make matters worse, the room was filthy—there was blood on one of the sheets and dirt behind furniture. This hotel does not meet the standards of a 4-star establishment. I would avoid visiting this hotel at all costs. **For upper management: I am referring to the receptionist who was working on Thursday, the 5th of December. Her behavior was completely unacceptable. Also make sure to check the rooms before allowing guests to enter

Karlovy Vary Hotel with Breakfast

Here is our overall experience: 1. The location is very close to the Grand Hotel Pupp. Wonderful scenery and unique shops are just a few steps away. 2. The breakfast is excellent and it is included in the room rate. There are excellent choices of hams, sausages, fruits, cheese, yogurt, juice, and coffee. They taste excellent and the restaurant staff promptly refills every item. 3. The standard room does not have a scenery view. It is like an attic. The room is very clean, but the washroom is very small. The bed is old, narrow, and short. The height of the bed is very low. The phone in the room is broken. I had to go downstairs when I needed to contact the hotel staff. At night time, the lady at the front desk does not speak English. 4. Heating was off when we arrived. I had to ask the hotel staff to turn on the heat. However, the radiator in the toilet room never turns on. The radiator in the shower room is only 1/3 on. The other 2/3 is cold. Every night past midnight, the hotel shuts off the heat for a couple of hours, then turns it back on. 5. Dining at the hotel is very expensive. The cook's culinary skill is very bad.

Good central hotel for short visit to Karlovy Vary

+ Nice hotel, good location, although no hotel parking left, was told where to park for free - beds very hard, shower temp and pressure varied while using it

Great location, though very poorly managed

Stayed for one night, purposely chose the hotel because of its great location and beautiful architecture, plus good ratings. The room was advertised as a double with a couch that could accommodate an extra person. A request was made upon booking that the hotel prepare both the bed and the couch (for one person to sleep in the bed and the other on the couch), which was not followed through (the hotel claimed they don't see such requests when bookings come through). Whilst on the way by car to the hotel, we tried calling the hotel reception 7 (seven) times within a span of 30mins to ask about parking & accessibility (the town center is partly off limits to cars) though nobody answered. Finally, there was a complete water outage at the hotel the next morning from 8.30am onward. Overall a poor experience. On the plus side: the staff were extremely friendly (though unable to rectify any of the issues), the room was very nice and spacious, and the hotel's location excellent.
