Very noisey, road noise, ac noise above, front desk staff need more customer service training.

The property was clean & in a good location. It would be nice if the room included room service (cleaning, towels, trash) in the package without extra fees to request it. It would also be nice with more kitchen supplies and maybe a spice rack of some sort for cooking. Other than that, the place was good.

The kitchen, washer and dryer were very convenient

Simple yet beautiful condo. Nice view and so close to the ocean. The unit did not have any A/C but the fans and the natural breeze was perfect for our family since A/C in the evening gets too cold for our nose and throat. Unit is on the 3rd floor and we did not realize there was an elevator until the last day but exercise is always good. I did not read the confirmation email well so when we first got there, we didn't know where to check in and when we started walking around looking for the lobby, it started too downpour. But the walk to the front desk was short. The location of the condo was perfect, near grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. Sofa bed, like the average sofa bed, was sleepable but not as comfortable as the king bed in the main bedroom. Overall, the condo was perfect for our family of four.

Great location. Limited parking. No AC. Near the beach areas

Something different than expected in this condo: - At check-in I had to pay a "reservation & cleaning fee" of $145.83 that appeared after I booked the vacation package (at least I did not see this before). What I saw on the booking page was: "Although Orbitz does not charge a fee to change or cancel your booking, Castle Kauai Kailani may still charge a fee in accordance with its own rules & regulations" well, I did not expect to be as high as $145.83. - I was in the unit #305, which has an additional cost (compare to the others) of more then $60 a day because it is listed as "oceanfront". From the attached picture taken from the balcony this is what is usually considered "ocean view", surely not oceanfront. - It says "Full Kitchen", but the set of dinnerware provided is really minimum, not even a cutting board, scale or colander. - No air conditioning (not mentioned), no washer & drier in the unit or everywhere else in the building. - On the positive side, I have to say that although the building is dated, the unit was renewed and clean. The reason of the 2 stars is because it was quite different from what I expected from the description, and less than a quarter of mile from there it is possible to find a nice resort that offers more features for a lower price.

Unexpected charges, $25 for destination fee and $50 for cleaning fee. Cleaning fee was particularly aggravating, isn't that supposed to be included with the price of the room?

Stayed for 8 days at Kauai Kailani. We come to find was more like apartment living than resort condo due to having check in occur at another place, 2 resorts down, balconies are open to other tenants, no privacy at all due to the "U-shape of the building. We like to cook and eat on balcony, looking and listening to ocean, but lack of privacy for us prevented that. There were tenants who live there and vacation rentals mixed together so the choice of room somewhat limited. There happened to be construction going on in the property which made some views from some rooms very undesirable, especially if you are looking for a nice ocean view. We asked for a room near ocean, corner Unit and they gave us Room 213. Went to room and room was nicely appointed except for the claustrophobic feel of the room. There was a small window, cruise ship like where the balcony should be and the balcony faced other tenants and a slanted ocean view with looking at ugly construction on beach area. We got our room changed and got Room 309, which was a front facing balcony with ocean views. Could hear waves and much better. Can't swim from beach as there is much exposed coral/rock and would have to take a walk to another area to swim, still far from a beautiful beach. There is a pool, very clean and nicely kept up, and 2 barbecue grills located on side of building next to a common room to play ping pong, work, etc... Our place didn't have washer/dryer at all, even though they had ready to g

Nice rooms and right on the beach. Only complaint is the rooms only have fans, no a/c. The temperature is pretty much the same all the time but the rooms get muggy. Better spending your time out doors or on the beach.

Very good location and easy access to beach. Nearby safeway, subway and other good restaurants.

nice place. recently remodeled. could use an air conditioning system.
