It's you average residence inn. Had a room on the first floor. Good size room with a full size refrigerator. Room was clean, staff were friendly, and continental breakfast is what you expect at these type of hotels. No complaints.

Room is spacious with gas fireplace (didn't use). Lights are bright for the sink but the bathroom fan is very noisy. Luckily was on the 3rd floor where no one was above me. Flipping through the tv channels are slow which is annoying but the tv channel list provide did help get to the channel directly. Breakfast is typical with other Marriott hotel change less the packaged bread and bagel which allowed making a sandwich for lunch if your on the road. Mon thru wed evening they provide a appetizer snack and drinks which could be some burgers, tacos, and pasta. The house keeping apparently do not replenish your shampoo during your stay but does the towels So need to go down to the front desk to get one. Kitchen lights are too low and if your tall you will be bumping your head. Kitchen stove is updated with the flat surface type. The plates in the cabinets where dirty with which was a let down as expecting clean dishes. Good location for close by restaurants. Employees are friendly and helpful. Would stay again hopefully the cleanliness of the room and amenities provided are clean the next time around.

Stayed 3 nights for business. While this brand of Marriott isn't focused for short term or business travelers, it was a great stay! My 2nd floor room was updated, comfortable and despite being the week before college commencements and the NASCAR race, quiet! Common spaces off the lobby area are divided into areas for dining and an area for work. Mon-Wed some food and complimentary beverages are served in the dining area, Tuesday it was hamburgers with all the fixings and "cookout" sides! Lots of great shopping and restaurants close to the hotel. The front desk and food service staff were really helpful and friendly! Breakfast fare was typical but the fruits were better than most.

This was our first stay at this location and we will not return. The room was large, containing a kitchen, work space, and of course bed and bath. Housekeeping was minimal during our three night stay. The freezer had a colored liquid residue the entire time. Two plates and two coffee cups were dirty, however this may have been from the prior occupant. We left the items out for a final cleaning and they were in the dishwasher when we returned, still containing dried on food. The bed was below standard for any Marriott. The bathroom was OK with very bright lights at the sink area and a low light level in the shower area. Breakfast oatmeal was strange. We ate at 9 am two mornings and the oatmeal was more water than oats. It was fortunate that the serving spoon was slotted as it took 15 to 20 spoon fulls to achieve a quantity that would fill half a bowl. The other items seemed OK, but we did not try them. The value for a stay was fair, especially if meals were prepared in the kitchen. We did not use that feature and will not return.

My mother and I are staying here during the reconstruction of my home after a devastating fire. Thankful, to be able to escape with no injuries, I am even more thankful for the compassionate staff at this hotel. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and grounds are beautiful, some of the ground maintenance staff were planting flowers as I walked in and all stopped to say good morning! Front desk staff, especially the two princess Jasmine's, always greets us with a smile and swift assistance. I am a caregiver for my mother who is 88 years old. She is spry but forgetful sometimes and change is often daunting for her. After we initially moved from one hotel to this Residence Inn, the staff and the wonderful room makes her feel very comfortable. She even left me to partake in the free breakfast alone and returned to the room. She said one of the "nice ladies" in the dining area helped make her waffles. Hotel is located in an area where the choice of restaurants and shopping is plentiful. General Manager, Cindy Gillies, was helpful and even gave my mother a box of cookies!! I am hoping we can stay here until the construction on my home is completed, as it is truly a home away from home. Plus my mother likes the workout room and pool!! Thank you and bless you all, your kindness is much appreciated. Patrice Harris

Stayed here before the remodel, right after the remodel, and just this past weekend. The hallways and grounds are starting to look old, almost like before the remodel. Had a 2 bedroom unit on the third floor, nothing special, even less preferred since our last visit about a year ago. Carpet was torn by the dining table, exposing the tack strip for anyone to step on. Furniture is stained, beds are uncomfortable. Perhaps it is time to update the room description and list that both bedrooms have queen size beds, instead of listing a king bed in one. Question for management: Why is there an oven in the room when there are no pans to use in it? Several of the kitchen cabinet doors had some kind of white spill on them, as if someone lost control of a smoothie and housekeeping forgot to clean it. Breakfast was not good, better off skipping and getting something to eat elsewhere. Watch out for the smokers, they stand directly outside of the doors. Why can't a smoking area be located away from the guest entry doors? Not sure that we would choose to stay here again.

Great room, comfy bed. Not a single complaint. Everything we needed for a weekend stay with the family. The breakfast was included and was really fantastic. Check out was noon which was nice. I will definitely return.

This motel was just okay. Nothing really to brag about. Could use a remodel and or update. It was fairly clean. Beds were comfy. Parking area and walks were short on lighting. If you are looking for fancy this is not your place. If you just need place to stay then you are in luck.

This hotel was very clean and quiet. We stayed in a two bedroom suite which was very comfortable. All of the different stairways and entrances can be confusing. It was easy to get lost in the hallways. Anyway, the Market Place was convenient, but very expensive. The flat screens were very nice, both bathrooms were fresh and updated, and the bed linens were clean and comfortable. I will stay here again.

I am so happy to have found this suites hotel. Every year my family has a reunion in Overland Park and we need a two bedroom, two bathroom hotel. for years we stayed at the Chase Suites but after a terrible experience with bedbugs and rude management, we were forced to seek a new place and found the Residence Inn. A blessing in disguise, this hotel is wonderful. The rooms are nicely decorated and very pleasant...full kitchen, small living room with a sofa that folds out to a double bed. We had a two bedroom, two bath and the rooms are very comfortable and the queen size beds are extremely comfortable with what feels like a memory foam topper. They offer you 4 nice queen size pillows...sort of a variety of firmness in them. One bedroom has a small desk and a small sink area off the bedroom area. the other bedroom has more counter space around the sink off the bedroom area. there is separate a tub/shower/toilet room. my only complaint (small) is the lighting in the bathroom is dim and the fan comes on every time you turn on the light. there is a bar height table and bar stools to eat on off the kitchen area and each room has a large flat screen tv. Breakfast is included and they offer a lot and the food is excellent. quite the spread. The people at the desk are efficient, knowledgeable and friendly and make you feel welcome. Don't go by the photo of the building which sort of looks like an assisted living facility. If you need a suite, this is one of the best for the price I've found.
