Since 2014 Guests from all over the World travel to stay at this spectacular tree-house cabin. No photo can prepare you for this beautiful location. At an elevation at 5,000 feet on a Moonless clear night watch the sky fill with planets stars and shooting-stars. INTO THE WOODS.
WELCOME!
INTO THE WOODS. Your sense of adventure is here. Stroll across a floating bridge high above the forest to a cluster of large Coulter Pines supporting a treehouse. Go back in time. Remember as a child what it's like to live and sleep under the stars! Now, your childhood dream of staying in a totally tricked-out luxurious treehouse cabin can come true.
BEST OF BOTH WORLDS! 12 minutes to all of the fine dining and good eats that Julian has to offer and it's nearby attractions.
Watch deer from our treehouse deck listen to natures symphony of birds and crickets. You are surrounded by forest and three (3) towering mountain peaks.
COOL TRAILS are right here in our private 1.14 acre forest. Walk through Hidden-Trail. There are panoramic look-outs throughout. View the desert, Cleveland National Forest, all the way to the Pacific Ocean on a clear day. Lookouts can be found around our highest points on this Property at approximately 5,000 feet elevation.
VIEWS Magnificent rocky mountains tower above. State parks and hundreds of miles of forested hiking trails are in a National Forest surrounding this treehouse cabin. Many old trees in this area are estimated to be up to 300 years old!
THE FOREST Our small treehouse Cabin opens to the outdoors for views and direct exposure to the forest. This exposure to nature provides a wonderful inspirational relaxing effect. Japanese call it 'Shinrin-Yoku' which translates to 'forest bathing'. The idea is simple: If a person visits a natural area and walks in a relaxed way, there are calming, rejuvenating and restorative benefits to be achieved. Studies have documented reduced stress, lower blood sugar, better concentration, diminished pain, improved immunity...
Taking in this forest atmosphere has become a cornerstone of preventive health care and healing in Japanese medicine. Researchers have established a robust body of scientific literature on health benefits of spending time under the canopy of a living forest. Many trees give off organic compounds that support “NK” (natural killer) cells that are part of our immune system's way of fighting cancer.
JOHN MUIR wrote: “Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home. Wilderness is a necessity.”

The house truly was so charming and we really enjoyed the hot tub as well as the tree deck! It was, unfortunately, too cloudy during our stay to make use of the telescope/sky viewing deck but we’re already talking about coming back in the summer with our teen. Thanks!

This unique property was a fun place to stay, with multiple areas to hang out in, all in the midst of a wooded lot. Very relaxing. The deck and the treehouse were my favorites, but the Observatory/cabana and the elevated platform were also great. The kitchen was fully equipped (there was even a melon baller!) for cooking or baking. The hot tub was nice after a morning of hiking, and I saw wild turkeys hanging around in the "neighborhood".

Relaxing feast for the eyes
When my husband and I found this home on VRBO, it looked nice and was a decent price. So we booked our stay for our anniversary. We noticed right away after booking that the owner Rick and his property supervisor Maria were great about responding quickly. As soon as we got inside, we realized what a gem we had found. And although I would love to gatekeep this rental, the owner and his rental rep and this home are just too awesome not to leave a fabulous review. This property is one acre of amazing views of Lake Cuyamuca, fabulous spots for stargazing, birdwatching, wildlife and relaxation. We had breakfast on the balcony while watching chipmunks and birds galore. The bed was comfortable and the linens were very high quality. They even provided robes for us. How awesome! This location is a quick drive to local dining but this home is fully stocked with anything you need to cook whatever meals you’d like. The restroom was nicely appointed with toiletries. The spa was perfect after a hike to nearby Green Valley Falls. We loved the view from the lookout deck at the top of the hill and the views from the porch and tree deck. Near the street level there is even a cabana with two chase loungers and a big screen tv. If you are looking for a place to relax, reconnect with nature and unwind, look no further. Thank you Rick and Maria, We can not wait to come back!

Amazing stay!
Spent a few nights at the tree house with my husband and 3 month old baby for a little vacation before going back to work. We had an amazing time! The house itself felt so homie and cozy. The deck/tree house was so cool! We spent mornings listening to the birds chirping and drinking coffee. The kitchen being fully stocked which worked great because we made breakfast in the morning. We can’t wait to come back!

Thoughtfully crafted quiet getaway with a beautiful view
This property really had it all: a beautiful view, every amenity you could think of, a clean jacuzzi, and plenty of activities for those who want to unplug for a moment. We were astounded by the fully stocked kitchen, reverse osmosis water filter, treehouse views, and clear night sky. We visited in the middle of May, and there was not a cloud in sight the entire visit (though the temperature was perfect.) All areas were very clean and the bathroom was stocked with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There was also a great selection of books, puzzles, and classic blurays that we were so happy to have access to, in order to stay away from the usual Netflix etc. Would highly recommend.

Truly Into The Woods
Incredible location and Cabin/Treehouse even better than description/Photos. Unfortunately, it rained all three days of stay which limited our activities. Fortunately with a Spa/Hot Tub the interior was very cozy, clean and all the amenities one needs. Beautiful view and would definitely go back! It was a real hidden gem!
