Great place to stay. The room was very nice and had everything we needed. Private entrance and entire place feels very secluded. The cats living on property were very cool.

Incredible stay! The property was a 5 minute walk to Downtown Julian. It was absolutely gorgeous at night with the dark sky community on full effect. Laura (the host) was quick to answer any questions I had, and had some great recommendations for food. Highlight was the 2 surprise visitors we had during our stay. They were such friendly cats.Will definitely come back here!

A lovely little inn

Communication was excellent and thorough. Check-in was easy. The patio was a pleasant surprise. I took a nap in the hammock after a long day in the sun. The inn suite is close to town but is secluded and quiet. I spent a lot of time on the patio and was so happy to be visited by a lovely calico cat and later by some friendly chickens.

Relaxing Time

Oak Hill Inn is a great place to get away from the stress of the city and just chill. Very cozy and sweet patio area as well - loved being visited by chickens a couple times a day as well!

Gracious hosts

Charming cottage walkable to town. The property has outside areas that invite you to sit and relax, There is an inside tavern area with an honor system ( snack time is fun time). Bring a book and relax!

Quick Julian getaway

We loved our stay at Oakhill Inn. Stayed in room #1 and it was amazing. The quiet and private patio was great to sit outside and have a drink or a cup of coffee. Room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. AC was cool. Will definitely be coming back!

Amazing place. Like a hybrid between boutique hotel to a romantic cabin. Every thing is just perfect! But my favorite area was the beautiful little pool with the coolest Tavern ever!

Julian Center Boutique Accommodation Gem

We enjoyed the peacefulness of the quaint boutique Oak Hill Inn close to the heart of Julian. Set in lush greenery on a quiet street on the side of a hill, the inn includes an even quainter pool and DIY "honor system" tavern. The center of town is a mere 5-10 minute uphill walk (or 1-minute drive). My only caution - those who may have walking issues or difficulty negotiating the 15 steep steps to their rooms would be best advised to seek accommodations elsewhere. For me and my husband, the Oak Hill Inn was perfect!

Quick stop over in Julian

Sweet property. Weather was foggy/rainy and we stayed only a night, but the oool area and Tavern were really nice. Fully stocked bar. Hope to come back!

Quaint Julian

Thank you to the owners for opening up Room 1 for our Super Bowl weekend stay in Julian. After a week of sleet & snow, we made our way to Oak Hill. Though the room was cold at first, the heater warmed us in this cute unit, filled with antiques and its own private, lighted patio. The bathroom’s retro tiles and pedestal sink added to the charm. The location could not be more perfect, just a short walk to coffee, souvenirs and of course - apple pie! Thank you for your hospitality as we enjoyed visiting in the tavern (the honor bar is a unique and welcome treat).

Great little room nice set up coffee was provided. Does have a mini fridge that was comfortable.

Our stay was very nice. I love the room with the private patio and the oak tree really pretty in. The room is adorable. I think the parking situation should be better or a sign on exactly where to park because it just feels funny parking on the street thank you very much. We will be back if we come back to this area.Kiki

Wedding weekend

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location of the property was perfect for walking to town and the wedding venue was only 3 miles away. My husband and I stayed in Room #1 and our daughter in Room #2 which was very convenient. The tavern was well stocked and a great ammenity as well as the patio. The stairs from the street to the front door were quite steep and might be difficult for older adults.

Beautiful getaway

This property was super cool, we lived the vintage touches in the room. We enjoyed our patio with room #1 It was a great stay. We enjoyed a few hours poolside with our friends who also booked the room next door. Our Hosts were friendly and helpful. Communication was awesome from booking to checking out, we will stay again in the future.

Hostess with the Mostess

Oak Hill Inn is a wonderful place! My partner and I were pleasantly surprised. Laura and Mike were super inviting and great hosts. We will definitely be back for more Staycations. The pool was a treat on a warm summer day. It is within walking distance to town. The stairs are steep going to the property so keep that in mind if stairs are a problem for you or anyone in your party.

Peaceful and Secluded Getaway

My husband and I loved our stay at Oak Hill Inn. The hosts, Laura and Mike, have created a warm, welcoming environment in which no detail has been overlooked. The bed and bedding were soft and comfortable, and the kitchenette had everything we needed for our stay. We ran out of coffee pods for the Keurig, and Laura delivered them outside our door within a few minutes! When we first arrived, we wandered up to the pool and happened to meet Laura and Mike. Mike gave us a tour of the well-stocked Tavern honor bar. Our room was quiet and the private patio was secluded. We loved our stay and will definitely return!

Walk to town

Laura and Jim greeted us and helped with the bags. Their Rec’s on restaurants and places of interest were just right for us. Could use more drawer space for longer stays, and the stairs could be difficult for some, but not us. 5 minute walk to town as advertised. Pie is a way of life in Julian.

Quaint place to stay in Julian

Our stay was awesome! The room was even better than the pictures and the outside area was perfect to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and conversation. There was a Keurig machine with coffee and condiments to start the morning off. We were just a few blocks from the cute downtown. We will definitely stay here again the next time we go to Julian!
