Hotel grounds are a bit dated, swimming pool is dirty, breakfast is not worth paying extra for(free for 2 pax and we added 3 more on day1 only). The restaurants - Sobasei, The Grill at Cocomo and The Bar are better options! Plus is they have a bowling alley (not free), and a few games like darts, Table Tennis, foosball for free. Still a good place!
A resort that near airport, friendly staff, fast check in. Room condition quite old, need some renovation but belong as big room. 24 hrs of room service really help me a lot when back to hotel at midnight. Breakfast very disappointed not much choice, need improve. overall everything is good. Recommand to anyone who want to have a relax vacation hotel.
recommended hotel with ample facilities in resort environment .my third time staying here.near to jpo and Legoland,this resort has their own bowling alley and Olympic size swimming pool facilities.overall I will stay in this hotel if I go to johor baharu again.
The room was cosy and comfy. There is a bathtub too! Just wish the pillow could be more firm. Location wise there is a mcdonald and indian food stall nearby. Its near the airport too! Good for a staycation or for company events.
This is my second time stay in Le Grandeur Palm resort. I must say it is a very last minute trip with my hubby and it is quite surprise me that the hotel management did some improvement in term of the customer ‘s convenient . The resort building is still remain the same ... old, classic but clean as usual. The room is clean but just the light is quite dim although I have on every single lights in the room. The room come with a full set toiletries, hair dryer, iron, in door slipper and safety box. Besides, it also come with a mobile phone and free usage of local call and data . The is something that I must mentioned that ... my room tv is very blur and my hubby contacted the staff and he fixed it within 10 mins. It was the antenna connection issue. Breakfast is a quite standard Asian food. I think it is because there are a lot of Korean customer therefore the breakfast also serve Korean soup. We paid $ 56 for a night cum breakfast ... with traveloka. It is the cheapest among the rest . Overall this is a great short trip staycation , the location to IOI mall, Aeon and Johor premier outlet are within 30 mins drive .
I was stay with my friend for 2 Night, and once i get to the room the electricity was down in my room,i was try to call the staff but didn’t come until i call it for 4x and finally they came and change our room it was pretty lame the breakfast was so basic but okay,
spending 2 days 1 night at the hotel recently. despite less than average reviews currently pop up in this website, I do find that my experience is a satisfying one. I do concur that the room, the ambience and overall feel is a lil bit old fashion. In addition, I do believe nothing change since my very first stay here circa 2005 ha ha. But, it might be good for nostalgia purpose perhaps that's why it does stay its way. the foods serve is more than average I must say. but some of the menu itself was confusing. Nasi Beriani on breakfast anyone? I do believe none of us Malaysians will ever consume one in the morning. Despite on this odd one, the others were satisfying. I do feel that the pools were neglected. the entry points exists were blocked and limited to only one. I didn't find any logic on the management approach on this one as per my title, I do hope and do believe that the current management will make some refurbishment in order to restore the resort legacy as one of the benchmark hotel not too long ago,
I used this hotel a lot in 2016 and, apart from a terrible breakfast, it was reasonable, clean and convenient. I’ve just been back for a week and it has been a disaster. One bedside light switch was broken with live electrical terminals showing. Another lamp switch refused to operate and gave me an electric shock. Maintenance took the lights away at the beginning of the week and they didn’t get replaced. Hot water was barely warm (legionella anyone?) and there was no way of operating the plug in the cracked wash basin. The sheets were stained and twice room service told me that the same menu item (beef randeng) wasn’t available. Oh, and the tiramisu that they told me was “freshly made” had miraculously become frozen on its way to my room. WiFi was intermittent and the breakfast, almost impossibly, had got worse. What did management do? On the first proper complaint, they sent me an apology card and some fruit - but they didn’t actually fix anything. So I replied to them listing the defects but I got no response for two days. I finally phoned reception and was told a manager would call me back. After an hour, I called again. The manager I spoke to said she hadn’t been given the message. When I checked out, nothing was mentioned about the issues. I won’t be going back!
Rooms need an Upgrade they look really like old fashioned rooms and the other thing is they don't offer Free Wifi in Rooms if you wish to access it in lobby then it's okay but if you need Wifi in Room you need to get it for 35 ringgits. I don't understand they charge too much for the room and they don't offer Free Wifi in Rooms.
First, the staff members were all very friendly. I enjoyed my interactions with the front desk, bar and restaurant employees. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. I did get some condensate dripping from the vent and it looked like it has happened before based on the discoloration of the wooden floor (Room 242). The room itself was very large - plenty of room to spread out. Wifi worked well and the front desk helped me when once of my devices performed a system update and disconnected the internet. A new wifi code was issued immediately so I could get back to work. I did not like the master control for the lighting, climate control and TV. Also, the towels in the bathroom were getting pretty thin from use. There were even a few towels with loose threads hanging down. Housekeeping / laundry should know to 'retire' towels once they get to this condition. If my business travel brings me back to Senai, I will return to Le Grandeur Palm Resort. My hope is that the rooms will be renovated by then.
