The 4 of us have just stayed for my daughter’s 18th birthday. Fabulous. A particular mention to John in the dining room for adding the excellent to service because he gad great rapport and knew how to service guests. Andrei, on reception, was welcoming and gave us the impression that nothing was too much to ask. The card in my daughter’s bedroom wishing her a lovely birthday was a fabulous touch. Minor pieces to improve; food at the comedy night, little touches here & there, e.g. paint peeling behind a curtain, and ‘tired’ items in the bathroom. Thoroughly recommended. Our second stay.
We stayed her over the Easter weekend. It isn’t the best hotel I’ve stayed in but the bed in the ocean view superior double room was just like being at home (it’s like my memory foam topped pocket sprung at home). I never sleep well in hotel rooms but here I did. The bathroom was slightly cramped between the bath and the sink but it was perfectly sufficient and you don’t sleep in the bathroom. The staff were varied with the local staff being the most friendly. Parking at this hotel is very limited and very tight. We spent an evening in the bar watching cars and vans trying to squeeze past the cars parked out the front of the hotel. The bar is expensive but again, that is little different to any other hotel.
The Grand Jersey is a lovely hotel, I would argue it sits closer to a 4* than a 5* myself. Lovely swimming pool and gym facilities with equally good steam room and sauna (all free to residents). Breakfast was very comprehensive, well worth adding in (you won't leave hungry). The Victoria restaurant (hotel's own) offers 2 courses (Sunday-Thursday) for £20, Friday / Saturday for £25. Very tasty and generally good service. Close to town (5-8 minute walk), 3 minute walk to the beach. Free resident car park. Bus (#15) runs from the airport to directly outside of the airport if you would prefer a bus (£2 each way).
Chose Jersey as not too far to travel due to health reasons. Arrived at hotel in the evening to a pleasant welcome. Room was very comfortable and staff accommodating. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Staff very well trained and it was a pleasure to stay here. Would certainly stay again. Conveniently located for town, restaurants etc.
I visit Jersey 4 times a year on business and have stayed in many different hotels over the last 15 years and yes we all know that Jersey hotels are expensive and unlike the hotel across the road the Grand has got it right. Check in was very friendly and professional , I was surprised that you were escorted to your room and helpful information regarding the hotel was given on way. The room was lovely and modern and very clean and comfortable with all the things you need apart from no drinks in the minnbar. Didn't eat in the hotel for dinner but after a fantastic nights sleep and a fabulous breakfast i was well set up for the day ahead. What does set this hotel apart from others in Jersey is by far the staff all very friendly and professional. Now that for me very important. Well done all and keep up with the level of service. Next time in visiting Jersey I no that I will be booking THE GRAND HOTEL.
stayed in the grand Jersey hotel . the fridge in the room was not working i at to unplug it . was bleeping all the time . The breakfast was disgusting sausage i would give to a dog black pudings over cooked bacon was greasy and like paper and full of fat .. I ordered toast to go with my breafast twice it didnt arrive black mould around the balcony door . well the prices 10 pounds for a glass of wine rip off .. One man this morning was rude to me and horrible the rest of the staff were very nice i would not book with this hotel again room was average . 350 pounds for 4 nights i expected better out of 10 i would give it a 3
Well what can I say about this this beautiful hotel? I took my family across to Jersey for a long weekend break and decided on a bit of 5***** luxury so opted for this magnificent historic hotel. Hand on heart this hotel is magnificent. The whole experience from start to finish was out of this world. The hotel has a Michelin star restaurant and I have never tasted food as fine in my life. It was just a different level to anything i have ever tasted anywhere in the world. The room was amazing and the bed... well, apart from being the biggest bed I have ever seen or been in I have never slept as well in my life. Again it was a different level. All the staff were amazing to, they just couldnt do enough to help you and they all really went above and beyond to help you with any query you had. In particular I want to say a big big thank you to Michelle on the front desk who came to our rescue after our 1 year old son burnt his hand on a pair of hair straighteners in our room. She really was amazing so our heartfelt thanks go to you. I'm actually lost for words how best to describe The Grand... other than it was the best weekend we've ever had. If you want a truly amazing experience with sheer luxury and the finest food you could ever wish to taste then my friends get yourself to this magnificent Hotel and I promise you this, It'll be an experience you'll never forget. I'm back home and all depressed now ;-)
Even the weather could not spoil our two day break. The bus from the airport stops outside and just a few minutes away from Liberty Bus Station to go exploring. Shopping streets just a walk away with plenty of places to eat and drink. Lovely, helpful staff made us very welcome and our breakfasts and evening meal were exceptional. Loved relaxing in the spa after busy days out too. My only negative comment is that the furnishings in the restaurant and bar are a bit dowdy.
My Fiancée and I went to Jersey for 3 nights and decided to stay at The Grand Jersey Hotel and Spa. Upon arrival from the airport we were instantly made to feel welcome. We were quite early as the room should be available from 3pm but the concierge checked and the room was ready so they took our bags up to the room on the first floor. We chose a Park View Double which is a beautiful room with a great view of the park and beach. The bed was big and comfortable, so made for a very relaxing stay. The hotel pool and spa was excellent in the price of the room that we booked. On the ground floor there is the spa reception, you have a gown and slippers in the room and they provide a towel to use. There is a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room which was extremely relaxing. The hotel uses the main restaurant for the breakfast, which is provides a wide range of continental and cooked options from a buffet or you can choose certain items off of the menu, it was really nice hot freshly cooked food every morning starting off the day perfectly. All of the staff were polite and extremely helpful with any request, I could not fault any member of staff during my stay. Overall I loved my stay at the hotel and would recommend anyone to stay here if they want a relaxing time in Jersey.
We upgraded to a suite for a four-day stay. Day 1 Bedroom TV needed replacing - it had not been checked. From second day TV in sitting room and TV in the bedroom took it in turns to say 'no HDMI signal'. Engineer called and said it often happens just unplug modem and reboot. We did this several times but still they failed to work - the weather was cold so we tried to watch TV more than usual. When I said this on checking out the woman on check out dismissed my complaint by saying yes it is a general problem sorry. This purports to be a five star hotel and this response was, to say the least, inadequate.
