We also offer the standard morning meal (pancake flour, syrup, and oats).
The mansion has several dining rooms and a massive living room. In the summer, you can use the garden's various seating options, such as the six-person table, the swing chair, and sofa area, and the secluded bench. There are many different kinds of gorgeous flowers and plants in the flower gardens during the summer. There are hydrangeas, camellias, peonies, lilacs, irises, tulips, clematis, roses, crape myrtles, plum trees, peach trees, and more. An overgrown herb and tomato garden is also present.
In less than a minute, parkgoers and ramblers can reach Hager Park from the back of the property. Numerous restaurants and cafes can be reached within a mile to two kilometers. The airport can be reached in about 25 minutes and downtown Grand Rapids is under 15 minutes. It takes only half an hour to reach Lake Michigan.
The basement features a TV and mini bar in case you needed, as well as a game room with ping pong and foosball tables.
That's right, there are enough bedrooms and bathrooms here for eight guests to stay comfortably. There will be a $25 per person surcharge for groups of nine or more that are smaller than 10. Throwing a rowdy party is not allowed.

Big house
It was a very nice house for our family. It is a little difficult to find in the dark. Street signs were done and difficult to find address but once a we found it, we had a great stay.

Family reunion; Wedding in Hudsonville
If you have an event in Grand Rapids, but want to be in easy reach of Lk Michigan beaches, this is an excellent option. House feels spread out and roomy, four levels and almost a separate unit in finished basement with a 2d kitchen and game area where kids playing or late-nighters won’t disturb others. Big kitchen with nice new sink/fixtures. Safe quiet neighborhood right off a VERY nice park with good playground and not too far from highway (196). Good options for Lake Michigan beaches (highway down to Sawgatuck or beautiful rural drives to Holland beaches like Tunnel - both about half hr). Good selection of nearby restaurants on Baldwin or Chicago Dr at Balsam/32d St (highly recommend the Alambra Mexicano dish at Dorados).
The only reason I don’t rank this a 5 star stay is several non/malfunctioning appliances during stay (furnace, toilet, dishwasher). BUT they weren’t big deals…the host was EXTREMELY responsive and has a nearby handyman who came immediately to fix. Also, the only functioning tv’s are in bedrooms. Recommend to host that tv in common area (basement rec room) be brought online.
One final point: I would remove photos of the off-limits dining room from your VRBO listing album. It’s misleading to feature it, and you absolutely don’t need it. The house available to renters is LOVELY!!! Thank you for an outstanding experience!!!

Good spot for a weekend girls trip
Great spot for a weekend away with the girls, we really appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was with cooking supplies and good knives! Disappointed that the sauna was out of order, but otherwise everything was good to go 👍

I REALLY want to give it 5 Stars!!
This home is absolutely lovely! It's clean, has every possible amenity we could need (even a cute little pitcher for my coffee cream, which I loved), and was VERY comfortable to sleep in. We had my children, spouses and mother-in-law for my other son's wedding in Grand Rapids.
However, we did have a few issues:
The garage door keypad was broken, and while they sent someone immediately to try to repair it, they were unable to. This meant we had to leave all our things unlocked. It's a very safe neighborhood; but it was certainly not ideal as there were a couple of us in different cars arriving at different times.
Secondly, while we were enjoying a family breakfast the cleaning people arrived before our arranged checkout. I understood that the owner made a mistake, but it was somewhat embarrassing.
Finally, the lovely picture of the dining table in the listing - with the pretty dishes -has a sign saying it should not be used. And we were required to remove our shoes every time we came in...giving that we were running in and out a lot between the wedding, rehearsal, etc, it just didn't feel particularly homey. If my children had been younger, I would've felt very nervous about all of the beautiful decorations getting broken. It felt like a lot of "Do not touch" things.
Again, this is really is a LOVELY home - feels like a treat! . The owner was responsive and helpful and we had a wonderful time!

Great Property
My family and I enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. The owner was also very responsive to our questions. Just a note—the sauna is out of order.

Wonderful place to stay!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated! We were here to visit my son at Grand Valley and the location was great. Close to campus and in a very nice neighborhood. There were more stairs than I anticipated from the listing but the elderly people in our group were able to manage them. The yard was beautiful and everything in the house was just really very nice. I would definitely stay there again if I have the opportunity.

Great stay
We stayed with part of our team for a tournament; the boys loved the ping pong table. Had an issue with the AC at first, but someone was sent out right away to fix it. Everything was very clean.
