Our stay at the Radisson Hotel Louisville North during the Kentucky Derby was a nightmare. Check-in took 30 minutes as the front desk staff seemed completely untrained. The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke. Shortly after getting to my room, my employee called to say someone was already inside his assigned room. The front desk employee went with him to investigate but didn’t know how to use the latch tool to open the door – my employee had to do it. Inside, the room was barricaded with couches and reeked of weed. The adjoining door to the next room was wide open, clearly indicating unauthorized access. The staff member casually stated, “This happens all the time. Homeless people climb up the balconies and get in.” Shockingly, no one contacted the police. Despite my employee asking multiple times for a different room, they sent him back to the compromised room. When we went to check it, the manager was outside the neighboring room struggling to open it. Once inside, someone was barricaded in the bathroom, pushing back on the door when we tried to open it. Only after insisting did they finally move my employee to a new room. A maintenance worker told us incidents like this “happen all the time.” Unbelievable. This hotel is unsafe, unprofessional, and poorly managed. Stay far away.

The room was not clean upon arrival. Beds wore made and trash had been removed. The counters, door knobs and bathtub were extremely nasty! There was a clear jelly-like substance everywhere!

When we came to check in, kids were running around everywhere screaming, it was so loud. Hallways smell heavily of smoke. Of course sheets didn’t look super clean, bathroom toilet seat was stained, and toilet was loud all night. Floors in room were dirty, NO microwave. Maybe for one night passing through it’s not bad, but I am literally never going back again.

Loved it!

We had a fantastic stay. The property is old but so cool, so well done. The service is great, roooms nice available with balcony, nice indoor pool, etc. We really enjoyed it. My recommendation would be to give the carpets in the roo. A good shampooing or replace them. We'll definitely stay again though.

The room next to mine had a huge fight with multiple people resulting in the police being called. Staff was not very friendly or welcoming. Loud children and young teens running around the halls cursing and being disrespectful. Sheets still had makeup on them when we checked into the room.Will not be staying at this hotel again

I don't think there was a loss prevention or security officer present on the property. One wing on Friday night either experienced a fight or another significant incident that lasted for hours, resulting in no sleep. There was broken glass outside door A207 on Friday, and it remained there when I checked out. The property had leaking water, yet no one mentioned anything about safety or advised avoiding the area.

The rooms are run down and old. There was broken glass in the hallways heading towards our room. Broken glass tiles on the floors, tiny elevators, key cards that don’t work, and a mile walk to the rooms. I will NEVER stay here again. It smelled like mildew and smoke through the hallways.
