Lots of stuff close by: shops, foods, highway access, etc. Dead insects and other debris around the room. Drains in the room need to be cleaned. Most surfaces had to be wiped down when we got there. Headboard of the bed is sticky from cleaning residue.

Good price, decent accommodations

Considering several other hotels around Econolodge were $300+ per night the weekend we stayed, we were thrilled to pay $80 per night. Of course we were not expecting a five star experience, but the bed was comfortable, it was clean, and the room was a decent size. The fridge and microwave were a nice bonus too. The staff were friendly. Parking price was reasonable. It’s literally attached to a liquor store, which could throw some people off, but there were no issues at all; it’s actually convenient to have a store so close. Area was walkable to restaurants and bars on Main. I’d stay here again considering the price.

Room service was supposed to be as requested. Two times a housecleaning guy showed up. 1st time I told him we didn't want service but he came again when we were out and changed towels and emptied garbage. Due to language he may have misunderstood when I told him we'd ask for towels when we need them. They have NO safe in the room. The room overall was good although a 6 sf section of textured ceiling was missing the texture at the bathroom entrance, looking a bit unsightly, Some small wall issue in the bathroom. The continental breakfast and coffee were lacking so much that I had a bagel and last small yogurt. Area is on the fringe but across from the Marriot and two short blocks to 4th Street live. Another bonus 1/2 block to TARC bus pickup to the Expo Grounds for major events. The Bus is direct without stops for $2 or online $1.50 The desk staff were pleasant and efficient.

Not good for family only good for a drunken night

My family and I were very disappointed with our stay. The linens and walls were dirty, and it was bad enough that we didn’t even feel comfortable showering there. Thankfully, it was just for one night. The only positives were that the beds were comfortable and the AC worked. Because of the cleanliness issues, we had to sleep on top of the beds fully dressed in hoodies, sweatpants, and socks.

CONVENIENT. COST-EFFECTIVE

Hotel is convenient to interstates and downtown Louisville restaurants, ballgames and conventions. Plus, it's a fraction of the competition's prices. Inexpensive surface parking is an added benefit, if you need to come and go. It is what it is. A basic motel that provides you the basics.
