This small boutique hotel and restaurant is right next to Blue Mosque walking square. It's very convenient location to many attractions in walking distance. Or T1 tram is very close by, it will take you to many other attractions too. We really like the location. The hotel is clean, quite, and comfortable to sleep, great view too. The owner and staff is very kind and helpful too. We really enjoy our stay.

Fantastic place and great hospitality

Fantastic location. Owner & manager Mohammed made everything to make me comfortable, including providing a pass for the tram. Also a great breakfast. And the views to the Blue Mosque were incredible. Would love to stay here again !

Good:location right in front of the Blue Mosque,we have the one with spectacular views of the Blue Mosque,Hagia Sophia and Marmara Sea.Walkable distance to almost historic location.Breakfast was good and staff were friendly.Bad:Tried to contact the hotel before our trip and to book a private shuttle service from the airport to the hotel.Unfortunately,after 2-3 messages nobody answer so we've taken a taxi.At 1 o’clock we’ve got our room which was not so clean,no heat,frozen water at the sink/shower,the TV doesn’t work(the owner told us that you don’t need TV you book the room for the view).All the winds are in the room if you do not have heat,many spaces between windows,walls, and doors.When we asked about the TV why it's not working,they remembered to start the heating,after that it was ok in the room.Second day we’ve gone exploring the city and return on 6 pm at the hotel and went to our room which,surprise:was clean expecting new guests.Therefore,no luggage,no any other thinks that we’ve had in the room.Therefore,we have gone downstairs and trying to find where were all our belongings:nobody knows,the staff call the owner.We have discover our luggage at the front desk but without thinks that we have out of baggage:perfumes,books, clothes,etc.I had to repeat several times that we’ve missing thinks,so we are going to call the police.They told us to wait to talk to housekeeping, who arrived later very upset and give us our missing thinks who putted in her cupboard.

No nos dieron cuarto!

Llegué al hotel y me mandaron a otro! Uno de atrás del edificio! No sé si estaba lleno o simplemente le quisieron mandar cliente al amigo del hotel de atrás, porque son totalmente distintos! Si estaba lleno, por qué aceptan reservación y no cancelan con tiempo para buscar otro hotel?

Ett helt okej ställe!

Det var ett trevligt hotell med bra läge, tillgänglig personal, helt OK frukost och stark Wi-fi. De enda anmärkningarna är att de inte hade fler nycklar till rummet samt att det inte fanns ”stör ej”/”städa ej”-skyltar att lägga på handtaget. Observa att hotellet ligger mitt emot en av de stora historiska moskéerna (därav tidiga väckningar på morgnarna).

Cudne miejsce i ludzie

Pobyt w Hotelu Optimist to prawdziwa przyjemność. Powitanie po 23.00 kiedy przybyliśmy było takie, jak w rodzinie i zanim się obejrzeliśmy bagaż był w pokoju a my piliśmy pyszną turecką herbatę. Właściciele Mohamed i Cherry oraz pracownicy Ali i Mohamed i pies Charlie są bardzo serdecznie i przyjaźnie nastawieni. Zawsze życzliwi, uśmiechnięci, pomocni i zainteresowani pobytem swoich gości.W hotelu można zjeść smaczny posiłek i napić się pysznej herbaty. Śniadania są podawane od 8.00 do 12.00 i są bardzo obfite i smaczne. Hotel jest świetnie usytuowany dla osób chcących zwiedzać i poznać Istambul. Do Blue Mosqe jest 3 minuty drogi a Hipodrom można podziwiać z hotelowego patio. Również niedaleko jest do Hagia Sophia i Cysterny Bazyliki, Pałacu Topkapi. Bardzo blisko jest do tramwaju, którym można dojechać praktycznie wszędzie. Komunikacja miejska jest dobrej jakości, czysta, klimatyzowana.Miasto zrobiło na nas ogromnie pozytywne wrażenie a jego mieszkańcy obalili wszelkie mity o Turkach. Planujemy wrócić do Istambułu i do Hotelu Optimist, bo czuliśmy się w nim doskonale. Pozdrawiamy Was wszystkich i do zobaczenia wkrótce!
