A really wonderful hotel. I stayed here over 15 years ago and swore that I would return with my mother. It has changed a lot and all for the better. We had an amazing experience, the rooms are unique and well thought out, the coffee table books of history and individual details of decor in each making them special (pay the extra for the deluxe- it's worth it). The roof terrace is to die for- you could spend an entire day up there watching the blue mosque change colour in the sunlight. The staff are incredibly helpful (restaurant recommendations were excellent) and the breakfast was all encompassing from fresh fruit to yoghurt, breads and cheeses to olives and fresh meats. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and almost don't want to write this review so that it stays a little secret gem in the heart of Istanbul!
Excellent service. Wonderful and helpful hotel staff. Room was spacious. Central location- Sultan Ahmet area, which meant we walked a lot and didn't need taxis much. Hotel staff is what made it so relaxing and comfortable, easy to talk to and they were always willing to listen.
Fantastic staff and awesome location. This is a small family-owned hotel that strives to make guests comfortable. Rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable and Turkish breakfast is excellent. You will not be disappointed!
We were first timers to Turkey. We needed help and suggestions. This staff made us feel welcomed and at home. It's a perfect hotel for exploring Istanbul. Right in heart of old town where major sites are. Nice quiet rooftop bar to relax after a long day of touring. I'd stay again if I returned to Istanbul. Main reason was the super friendly and helpful staff.
Went to Istanbul for our honeymoon and decided to stay at Ibrahim Pasha. I must say the location is the best because all the historic tourist spots are a short few minutes walk, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkappi. The hotel's staff is one of the best I've ever experienced, if not the best. Super friendly and helpful. All in all a perfect stay, would always stay there if I visit Istanbul again, miss the beautiful view of the Blue Mosque from the rooftop.
Perfectly located for those wanting to stay in Sultanahmet, it's near everything but located on a very quiet street. The lobby/sitting area is full of books you actually want to read -- all celebrating the arts and culture of Istanbul and Turkey. The staff is wonderful and gives great advice about good restaurants about town. We loved our four-night stay.
Very charming hotel with very good location. Very good stuff and beautiful bar with the amazing view. Rooms need some renovation and bathrooms are a little bit small. A little bit poor breakfast, but it's ok.
This charming hotel, just off the Hippodrome and 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque, couldn't have been a better choice. All the staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful, and gave good advice on restaurants and how to use the streetcars. For a very reasonable charge, they provided a car to pick us up at the airport and upon departure, called a trusted taxi service (which cost half the price!). The breakfasts were delicious and served in the nicely furnished dining room. We booked a "deluxe" room and I think they gave us the best in the house. Spacious with lots of seating and even a desk. In season, drinks are served on the roof terrace. We were a little early for that, but the views are always panoramic and excellent, and especially nice for evening lights. I would stay there again, without hesitation.
I have stayed at this adorable hotel twice now, and both times I've been blown away with the hospitality, centrality and coziness. The restaurant suggestions are amazing, the staff are caring and passionate and the rooms are the perfect place to unwind after an exhausting day sightseeing. Think I'll continue to holiday here every visit to Istanbul!
Excellent hotel. Very conveniently located- less then 5 minute walk to Blue mosque. Very helpful staff. They have lots of information/recommendations about the locality and are always willing to share it with you. Rooms are very well planned with all modern amenities. The view from the rooftop is breathtaking.
