Excellent staff - friendly and helpful at all times (they are what make this hotel), comfortable without being 5 star, well located for the old city. Travelled with wife and daughter and had a brilliant time. We will be back in Istanbul again and would certainly be happy to stay at this hotel again.

We booked a family room which was really great for a family of four with two teenaged boys. It's really two rooms that also have an outer door. The location of the hotel is very convenient - minutes to the main sites in Sultanahmet. The hotel itself has been nicely put together considering that it likely had to work within the constraints of a very old building. Lots of nice touches including a freshly handmade stuffed flatbread that a local lady will make from scratch for you as part of the breakfast. They also have a nice terrace with sofas to lounge in and a few tables where you can have dinner or drinks overlooking the water and some of the surrounding old buildings. The best, of course, was the staff itself. Right from when we landed, they had lots of helpful tips on how to get the best exchange rate, how to organize the 3 days we had to get the most of our time in Istanbul. They even let us use the spa room for a shower and a bit of rest in the afternoon since we had checked out in the morning. Finally, for the price we paid this was well above our expectations and in most big cities would cost a lot more. Perhaps due to the drop in tourism or perhaps this was not peak season, but either ways, the room rates were a steal, Overall - a wonderful property that I would highly recommend

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were able to suggest great restaurants and cafes around as well as the sights. The location was easy walking distance from all the places you would like to visit in the old part of the city and easy to get to from the airport too. Would stay again.

2nd time in this same small Hotel, very friendly staff and all speak good English. A bit pricy, but you pay what you get for. Will come back again on next business trip to Istanbul, even if quite far from the airport.

I have done a lot of research on hotels in Istanbul and so happy I decided on Hotel Amira. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We felt most welcome and had a lovely room - spacious, clean and with a lovely view on the Bosphorus. It felt like a five star hotel but with three star tariffs. White towel gowns, face cloth and slippers were most welcome. The bed was so comfortable with excellent linen which is changed daily (!). The breakfast was well presented with delicious Turkish bread, fresh butter and honey cake. The best was traditional Turkish breakfast bread made by a lady on order. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace and loved the home made lemonade and kebaps Food was excellent and well priced. The staff are excellent and so frienfly and eager to assist. One can walk easily to the Arista market, which I prefer above the Grand bazaar because it is on smaller scale wit better prices. I also did some good shopping at the shops outside the hotel. We took the culture package which included a halfday tour and taxi from and to the airport. We appreciated the fact that we could get our room early in the morning upon arrival from airport. The staff work very hard and the gentleman in the restaurant must be exhausted when he goes home. He is so hardworking We would like to thank everybody at the hotel for our wonderful stay and the chocolate and strawberry fondue for my birthday The hotel made our visit to Isyanbul very special and we would surely stay in Hotel Amira again. Other points to mention: the hotel is a good example of how to treat tourists. The information board in the lobby is a great help. The laundry service was also affordable.

Amazing views of the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia, best hotel in Istanbul in my opinion and service it great especially Ayhan he was always happy to help with anything we need and was happy to recommend places to eat visit.

Myself and my friends had a wonderful 4 day stay at Hotel Amira. Rooms were very spacious with excellent air conditioning. The roof top had fab views and the breakfast was perfect for us. But it was the staff who were the highlight for us. They were so helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. They all seemed so happy in their jobs and worked well together. A special thanks to the manager for all his suggestions. Will return.

When the taxi arrival at the hotel, you might expect a mid or big hotel which is not. But the service is huge and highly recommended, it go beyond one expectation, prefect. Although you need to transfer to staircase which I am staying 801, they are there to assist with my luggage, explained the room feature and advise how to travel safe in Istanbul. The front table was very helpful with advise where to visit and place to dine which turn out to very good indeed. No doubt this will be the hotel that I stay when I am in Istanbul.

Hotel Amira is perfect location for touring Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc. The staff are really nice and accommodating. It's a great value for the price. They were very helpful with finding good restaurants, etc.

We came here with a family of 5, to stay in the heart of the old city - and the location cannot be beat. A few blocks away from the Hippodrome, Arasta Bazaar, and Blue Mosque. A 10 minute walk to Hagia Sophia and to the Grand Bazaar. And at night the rooms are quiet, there is a lovely rooftop deck with a view, and they have family rooms - which can be challenging to get in Europe and are a must when traveling as a group of 4 or more. We had two adjoining rooms, each with a bathroom (the only complaint being that water gets out of the shower easily so the floors would get wet). The beds are very comfortable - the best we had during our trip. And all the staff, to a person, were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast could have been served at the Four Seasons - a huge spread of all sorts of treats, various fresh coffees and juices, and what my kids loved the best: a woman making traditional Turkish flat bread, in the traditional way, stuffed with your choice of filling (please keep this going at breakfast - it is so lovely to enjoy traditional and delicious food like this!). This hotel is highly rated for good reason. It deserves it, and they do not rest on their laurels, but strive for continued excellence.
