Our second stay at Amira hotel this year. The staff are incredible, breakfast is 5 stars, rooms are spacious and mattresses rival are exceptionally comfortable. This hotel is an absolute gem. Thank you guys for making our stay over 4 nights memorable as you have done in the past. See you next year and this time.
The location of this hotel is spot on, the rooms are large and comfortable and breakfast buffet is superb. However, overshadowing all this is the friendliness and helpfulness of the front of house staff and breakfast room manager. What a wonderful team
All Personnal is vey kind, he help you for discover Istanbul. position of this hotel is central and note very far to hte principal attraction of the city. We recommand this Hotel for the service and the the staff.
Very cosy and centrally located small hotel. 5 Minutes walk time to major sights and public transport. Rooms are clean with free daily water. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. A definitive must is the terrasse on the upper floor which has a phenomenal view across the Marmara sea. I'd stay at Amira any time again. The five points are well earned.
Stayed for four nights at this great hotel. I wanted to stay in Sultanahmet and based on reviews, the Amira fit the bill and exceeded my expectations. I chose a single double bedded room and it was very comfortable. Room has lots of amenities including kettle, fridge and a laptop size safe. Great breakfast, lovely roof top terrace and a small gym. Location was excellent and walking distance to a majority of sites and also to the Sultanahmet tram stop. close to some decent restaurants although touristy, but don’t go to the ones on the street of the hotel. As many have said, customer service is exemplary, they truly care about their clientele. The 20 minute Istanbul orientation and advice from AJ was excellent and he and Hunar were my source of advice on a daily basis. They organized my tours, car transfers and a wealth of information. The rest of the staff deserve high praise as well. As I was travelling solo, knowing the Amira team had my back made all the difference. Suggest you book on their website as they offer promotions and also cash discount for room payments
10 days of perfect service. Starting with a wonderful Turkish breakfast, the best concierge knowledge at the front desk, the well appointed rooms, and completing with the relaxing roof terrace overlooking the Sea of Marmara, and the blue mosque. We could walk to all of the main sites, and restaurants, or they can arrange pick up service to others. The friendly, personal service from all staff is incredible! 5 star without doubt. I have never witnessed a tighter, orchestrated team of consumate professionals, there is no weak point in this group. Thank you Mehmet Ali Bey and all.
Everything was PERFECT !!! Great staff very good breakfast and amazing view. We had problems with air conditioning and the staff made us change room (with an upgrade) without a problem. The hotel was that good that we extended our visit to a couple nights more.
This was not our first visit to Istanbul but it was the first time that we had stayed in the Sultanahmet area. Wanting to try something new and be closer to the Blue Mosque and surrounding attractions we did what most people visiting Istanbul for the first time would do...we checked Tripadvisor! This hotel was ranked #1 at the time and we decided to try it out. We can safely say that it lived up to our expectations. We were there for 3 nights and four days. We stayed in the family room which was 2 rooms with an adjoining door. The rooms were comfortable for 2 parents and three young adult children. The Rooms were very clean and had all the basic amenities. Wifi was good and the cleanup service everyday was efficient. Breakfast was typical Turkish breakfast with a good variety and helpful staff.Prior to making our booking at the hotel, we read reviews which highlighted the staff and their efforts to help the guests, and to no surprise, they were extremely competent and helpful in guiding us around the Sultanahmet area as-well as useful tips and tricks which made our trip extra-ordinarily enjoyable here. Singling out a member of the staff is difficult as all of them were helpful in their own ways. We will certainly remember our stay here and keep it as our primary destination on our next trip to Istanbul!.
The Amira Hotel was a great choice for a short visit to Istanbul. As others have commented, the staff are outstanding, and go out of their way to be helpful and courteous. It is within a stone's throw of many of the major sights. The breakfast buffet is excellent -- complete with fresh bread, cheeses, honey from the comb, fresh fruit, yogurt, egg dishes (including the delicious Turkish dish called Menemen), jams, fresh vegetables, and great coffee. This is not a luxury hotel, but rather a very comfortable boutique hotel. The rooms are nice but not particularly noteworthy in terms of comfort or furnishings. Our shower did not have great water pressure, and the quality of the pillows was less than desirable (they are filled with some sort of foam stuffing). One day were were woken up by our neighbor's phone, and we could hear her speaking on the phone through the walls. Still, we slept very well, and the windows were well-insulated. Having said all that, I don't know if we would return here for a second visit, simply because the neighborhood is so touristy. The streets are packed with hotels and touristy restaurants, and filled with large tour groups. To get away from Sulthanamet you need to get on a tram, and these can be really crowded. For our next visit to Istanbul, we would like to stay in a less tourist-crazed part of town, that is quieter and more charming. For us, that will probably be Kadikoy.
We stayed at Hotel Amira from 30 march to 2nd April. It was a short trip. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, we got a room with a terrace and was huge! They assisted us with places to eat and organized a guide for us also giving us lots of tips if what to do in out short stay. The location is fantastic as you are within 10 minutes walk from Hagia Sofia. I would stay here any day and would highly recommend it to anyone.
