We went on a family holiday to Istanbul and stayed at hotel amira. Nothing but excellence! From arriving AJ and the team were so helpful. They truly made us feel welcome. He helped us plan our day. Breakfast was super yummy and the rooms were nice and cosy. Couldn't recommend Amira enough, would definitely return to stay here in future. Xx
Hotel Amira is a beautiful boutique hotel that offers clean grounds, excellent breakfast and an incredibly professional/competent/friendly staff. I have had the pleasure of getting to know some of the staff. A special thanks to Adem for all the help and the guidance he provided whenever needed as well as the folks at the front desk. Great teamwork in making guests feel welcomed.
The negatives first ! The air conditioner broke down for two days, the live omelette making suspended for two days, lobby vast but poorly lit and abandoned corners. Pool and sauna temperatures down a bit for two days. Now the positives ! Very friendly, sincere, helpful and respectful managers and staff. Clean Great brekky Modern bathrooms and furnishings Convenient location to everything and everywhere Comfortable beds Good sized pool and sauna We loved our stay and will definitely chose this hotel the next time we're in Istanbul ! Thank you management and staff, you guys are amazing !!
Great location within walking distance to most of the local sights; I really enjoyed my stay. I was only there for one night in order to avoid a 21 hour layover in Istanbul. The hotel stay was incredibly attentive and honestly helpful.
In a city filled with gems, the Hotel Amira stands out for several reasons: location, size, breakfasts and staff. The hotel is located in the shadows of the Blue Mosque so it is walking distance to much of the old city. From the rooftop lounge you can see the ocean to one side and the Hippodrome to the other. The rooftop lounge is a great place to watch the sunset and the restaurant offers service there as well. The hotel only has around 32 rooms and so it is has the feel of a comfortable boutique hotel with unique rooms and spaces. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped with a heated bathroom floor, jacuzzi, wine glasses, refrigerator and flat screen TV. The smaller size gave you a sense of privacy and care. The breakfast buffet was delicious and featured plenty of variety from yogurts to meat and cheese. A special touch was the fresh comb honey each day that went great on the fresh bread. The breakfast staff took good care of us. That leads me to the very best part of the Hotel Amira, the staff. We found all of them extremely helpful and joyfully friendly. This was especially true of Ufuk, AJ and Adam. They had excellent suggestions, took time to help in whatever ways they could and always had a smile for us. We found AJ to be pretty good with an iron as well. I would highly recommend the Hotel Amira.
The price was great and the hotel really surprised me. The rooms were spacious, beds were great, staff were ALL friendly and helpful and they gave great recommendations for dinner within our budget. The breakfast is nice and the spa is amazing. I look forward to returning some day!
I am finishing a 4 night, 3 day stay at Hotel Amira. What a great spot in Old Town. It is located 5-8 min walk from The Blue Mosque and Haya Sophia. It is located on a street with restaurants and shops but was pretty quiet. This is a botique hotel that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms are very nice. They upgraded me to a Delux Room which was very large. The Wifi was also very good and has an excellent roof top bar/restaurant. What makes this place so special is the staff. They are welcoming and accomdodating in every way. I especially like to thank Uger who works in the restaurant. He was very helpful proving good tips for my sightseeing and was very friendly. I would also like to thank Ufuk who helped organize my transportation and my visit to the Ayasofy Haman. (This was an experience in itself that everyone should try) When I travel as a solo female I look for a good location to spots, safe location and hotel, clean with good wifi and helpful staff. Amira has all of this and more! This is a special place that I recommend to those visiting Istanbul.
Excellent location right next to many historical sites. The service was more than excellent, there were all very nice, helpful and professional. Fantastic rooms, best of the views to Bosphorus and a very sophisticated interior decoration. Dont miss having a drink up on the terrace, its awesome! We enjoyed it so much!
Stayed here for a total of 7 nights in two separate spells during my 2 week trip to Turkey. Both of the rooms I had were spotlessly clean, bright and spacious. The staff, from the receptionist to the bellboy to the restaurant manager, were all unfailingly friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfasts contained an absolute feast of options and a great way to start the day. I have nothing but good words to say about this hotel and if I return to Istanbul at some point I'll be looking to stay here.
Spent a total of four nights here and I miss it already. Pros: Extremely convenient location, we were able to walk all around to the main sites (about ten mins walk away) and even to Beyoglu which is about half an hour. Comfortable beds and rooms have all the amenities you would expect. I especially loved their sage soaps and touch of adding lavender to the room cupboards. Very helpful concierge, and everyone we spoke to at the hotel was an absolute delight. Breakfast is top notch, greatly appreciated the giant honey comb in the centre of the buffet. The complimentary wifi egg was a huge plus and saved us a few times when we got lost or needed a bit of extra information on the sites we were looking at. The view from the rooftop is unobstructed and is actually rather stunning. Once it does get a little warmer, sitting on the roof with a nice beer/ tea would be a great way to the end the day. The only con would be that the rooms are a little too warm. The underfloor heating is a nice touch but would be helpful to control. The area where the hotel is located, Sultanahmet is very safe and we were fine walking around late at night. So safe in fact that stores sometimes just left their wares out at night after they closed shop. Be weary of the shoe shiners who pretend to drop their brushes to engage you in conversation. Overall great value and I would definitely stay here again.
