The hotel excelled in every category. The management and personnel were friendly, helpful and personable. It was a pleasure to converse with them when we were entering or leaving the hotel.......Mehmet, Aj, Ugur, the gentleman who greeted us with a big smile each day at breakfast............and the various employees who held the door or assisted us with cabs. Each of them had time to spend with us and make us feel like a "part of a family". Our needs were anticipated and met. The location was perfect! The breakfast impressive. The roof top terrace was a great place to finish the day. I could not envision staying any place else in Istanbul!
We stayed at Hotel Amira for 5 nights, and we left feeling like family. This is a beautiful boutique hotel, staffed by wonderful, charming and caring people. They took a genuine interest in where we were going everyday and assisted us with any needs. The Turkish breakfast was to die for and something you will take pictures of and send to all your friends. Thank you Hotel Amira❤️❤️❤️❤️ Amber Hatfield Leslie Smith
I always look for small, boutique hotels. Amira is just that! It's clean, well-located and close (walking distance) to all the precious landmarks in the Sultanahmet. Most important of all though, Hotel Amira has THE NICEST staff! Everyone from the cleaning lady to Mike the assistant, to Ufuk, AJ, Ali, Uighur, Karen and Aziz who works in the dining room could not be nicer. One of the other door attendants and assistants is also great but I can't recall his name. The staff were always courteous, very helpful and eager to go out of their way to accommodate me. When I needed assistance with wifi, the hotel manager gave me a personal hotspot device so I could get better service. That's just one small example of how very kind, thoughtful and hospitable the staff are. That is what makes this hotel so special and yes I would return and stay at the Hotel Amira anytime. I go to Istanbul fairly often. I know now I'll stay at Amira again during my next trip to Istanbul. Thanks to all the Amira staff for being so kind!
Stayed for 4 nights & was extremely happy with Hotel Amira. Everyone was so helpful & courteous. It is a spotlessly clean hotel throughout & in a great location as all previous reviews have stated. My room was on the smaller side, but fully functional & includes a safe. I was completely happy with choice - highly recommended!
Hotel Amira is truly a gem! A lovely boutique hotel with a great soul. It has the perfect blend of historic charm and modern convenience. Every detail was carefully thought out, from the lovely hand painted ceilings reminiscent of Turkish tiles to the hand made thyme infused soaps and loofah sponge you'll find waiting for you in the bathroom, evoking days of the Turkish baths. I had a room on the top floor with a balcony overseeing the sea and the city. It was a wonderful spot to dine as the food at the hotel is delicious, from the vast options of the buffet breakfast to a room service dinner - as I dined twice from my balcony enjoying authentic shish kebab, pilaf and salad with some wonderful local wine. It was perfect! Even if your room does not have a balcony, you can enjoy drinks and food on the rooftop lounge with glorious views of the sea, I highly encourage it! The staff is truly an excellent team, highly knowledgeable and professional who will welcome you warmly and help you with any questions or needs you have! As others have stated, excellent service and accommodations! I just departed two days ago and now I am already longing for my return!!! I highly recommend anyone stay at the Amira and look forward to suggesting it to all my friends and family. Thank you Amira! Laurie, Boston, USA
We had a great stay here, greeted with friendly service and recommendations for things to do in the area and beyond. Good location for visiting the historical points of interest. From the doorman and reception through to the general manager, they were all eager and happy to help make our stay comfortable. Thanks!
Conveniently located, beautifully decorated and well kept property with top quality customer service. My friend and I stayed a couple nights at this hotel on our way to and from Ireland and were very happy with the location of the hotel; within walking distance to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern Arasta Bazaar and St Peter’s Basilica. The rooms we stayed in were quite spacious and clean. The only downside was that both rooms were located facing the street and we could hear dogs barking and people being loud all throughout the night. Nothing that a pair of ear plugs can’t solve though. The staff was by far the most accommodating staff I have ever encountered while traveling. We previously made plans for a dinner cruise on the Bosphorous; however, the receptionist was more than willing to arrange a late dinner for us, (we got to the hotel after 7pm). We had an early AM flight, (4 AM), which meant we would miss breakfast, so the receptionist arranged for sandwiches to be made and ready for us when we checked out. On our return trip from Ireland, we stayed for a second night at this hotel and I cannot express how amazing the staff was! The receptionist arranged for us to be picked up and taken to a recommended restaurant near the hotel for dinner. The driver made us feel completely safe and even stayed in the restaurant while we ate and ordered hookah. Breakfast was delicious and I loved the fresh honey! We were given recommendations for local buys, treats and sights to visit as well as clear and concise directions. I definitely look forward to returning to Istanbul and staying at Hotel Amira again.
The perfect place to stay. Rooms good size, bathroom clean, bed very comfortable. Staff are wonderful friendly and helpful. Taxi and shuttle service right outside. The terrace is added bonus great views of mosque and ocean. You can order by phone from here for drinks and coffee..
We booked the standard room which was an average room however loved the service at the hotel. The hotel is in a perfect location and within walking distance of all the tourist hotspots. The breakfast buffet was good, they had a good variety and we also loved the view from the terrace. Not giving 5 stars because for me the room especially the bathroom looked tired and needed refurbishment. Overall, would definitely come back!
Hotel Amira is the perfect place to stay in Istanbul. With views of the Blue Mosque from the rooms and the famous roof top terrace, you can not go wrong. The Amira is conveniently located within walking distance from the main attractions of Istanbul, i.e. the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Basilica Cistern. The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast was included in our rate. You are able to bring your own food and drinks, including alcohol, to the roof top terrace or you can simply order something from the hotel restaurant and bar. From the roof top you have beautiful views of the Sea of Marmara and domes of the surrounding Mosques you will not get bored putting your feet up and relaxing. Beautiful views of the sunset and my personal favorite, hearing the Call to Prayer of all the surrounding Mosques. If you lucky you will meet AJ, a vibrant member of the front desk staff. The entire staff is extremely respectable and helpful. If you need something all you have to do is ask. If you have a terrible experience, most likely it is at your own fault.
