A perfect hotel in Sultanahmet with walk able distance from Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia, friendly service and comfortable rooms. I stayed here for a couple of days on 22 and 23rd of Sept, 17. Although they don't have a 24 hour check in facility but the owner was available to receive us at 2 AM. We also got an upgrade from a normal room to a full apartment. Excellent WiFi service and very affordable rates for your accommodation specially in this locality. While leaving we booked a taxi which didn't show up, the owner also helped us in getting a taxi for the airport within few minutes with the best fixed rates. Well done!
From airport to the city centre where this hotel & most of the fabulous sights are, you'll need to buy 2 metro tickets. One for the metro and the other for use on the tram (direction: Kabata) You will need to get off at SultanAhmet station. Once out of the tram, you might feel disorientated but this little family-runned hotel is a bit of a walk about 12 min away. Actually it is behind the Hagia Sophia. No lift but assistance is available. Clean and pleasant but small suite with fridge, coffee/tea, hot cup and breakfast is included. Money changers nearby. Everything is within walking distance or the tram (operates 7-11) will take you almost anywhere. Transportation is excellent here. If your departure is early as passengers are required to be at the airport three hours before departure, the hotel proprietor will arrange a taxi for you. Taxi fare is TL50. He even packed sandwich for our take-away breakfast.
This place is a gem in Istanbul. It's near to the main city attractions (for example, The Little Hagia Sophia is on the corner). You can know everything by a little walking. The bedroom that I stayed is small but very comfortable and clean with air conditioning. WI-FI Free in the bedroom. Great staff of a family apart hotel. They arrange shuttle from/ to airport for a fair price too. There are a lot of stairs, but staff will help you with your luggage. Mr. Mustafa and his family are great! The neighborhood isn't so beautiful but it´s all is safe and traditional. You'll find lots of mini markets, candy stores, souvenir stores. We loved to stay here!
We booked the 2 bedroom apartment with sea views for a very good price online (based on the positive TA reviews - now noting that most reviewers have only one or two reviews). On arrival we were redirected to another residential building as this apartment is not part of the hotel. There was no WIFI, phone, foyer or reception and it is up 3 flights of stairs with no elevator. The apartment is very basic and undergoing refurbishment (one morning we were shocked to be advised that workmen would be installing an air-conditioner during the day - staying in an apartment undergoing construction did not form part of our relaxing holiday plan so we objected!!). The location is as good as most in Sultanahmet and we could walk to attractions. The rooftop terrace (also under construction) allowed for great sea views but there was no table to sit at. The towels and bed linen were better quality than other similarly cheap accommodation although the standard of cleaning could be significantly improved (the kitchen drawers were full of empty shampoo bottles and food sachets and there was a lot of rubbish under the beds from previous guests). The manager was very nice but we did not enjoy our stay and could not recommend. In hindsight I would pay a bit more for substantially better accommodation in the same area.
Just like be at home ,every morning I can had my breadfast the very handsome manager perpare for me and help me to change my fly but I choice stay there more six day, this hotel beside many good restaurant and you only walk few minutes then be blue mosque and Palace
loved spending 3 day with mustafa and team very close to every thing and best customer service.Rooms were clean and they provided locker for value items.i did get a chance to meet Emirhan and his DAD who also help me guiding around the area. Every thing in walking distances.
Visited Istanbul alone in December last year. This inn was in the ideal location, just a short walk away from the main attractions. The room was amazing, large with a very good sized en suite and was cleaned thoroughly everyday. Staff are extremely helpful and so friendly. The family are very lovely and welcoming they make the experience even better. Would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a nice quiet place to stay whilst visiting the city.
This hotel located at very strategic location. All attractive places are within 15 to 30 minutes walk. So many restaurants are nearby with reasonable price if you compare with restaurants with near to tourist spots. And not to forget there is a reasonable convenient store where you can get basic things if you decide to cook yourself! We stayed at 3 bedroom apartment. They provide cleaning services every two day. Mustafa is our host and he will provide you all information required including tours. We took 2 tours arranged by Mustafa and we had a very memorable experience with it. With 13 nights stay, all I can say is this hotel is the right choice for you!
We were there during our family holiday trip to Istanbul, Turkey from 25 Dec to 30 Dec 2016. A simple apartment with basic amenities. I booked a three room apartment i.e. two bedrooms and a living cum kitchen. (Although it states three bedrooms on Expedia, which is confusing). Anyway, our stay was good. The owner and staff of the property were extremely helpful and hospitable. The Good • Located in Sultanahmet area, i.e. near to many places of attractions such as Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, Topkapi and much more. All walking distance if one do not mind walking up rather steep slopes which are very common around Istanbul. • Near many good restaurants, tour agencies and convenience stores. • Proximity to the tram and train network • Next to a mosque, a plus for practising Muslim family. • Clean and well maintained The Not So Good • The apartment has no lift/escalator. Something to think about, if you have elderly or somebody with knee/leg problem tagging along with the trip. • The shower cubicle is quite small. • No backup power generator. Power outage is quite common in Istanbul. It happened almost every day when we were there. Without electrical supply during winter is not a joke.
Which made more comfortable Also I would like to thank Mustafa the owner of the apartment , he was so kind and supportive, he always supporting his guests I strongly recommend this hotel for those who like to stay in sultanahemet
