What I didn’t like was it was on a hill. Very hard to walk up and down with knee issues. Other than that it was great. Great staff that were helpful with luggage.

We did like this Hotel and would describe it as three star grading.It is in a great location and ideal for shopping ,day and night.Our room was small but had everything that we needed although a little adequate .The staff were quietly helpful .The cleaning of our room was basic ,not spotless but enough.We would stay there again now that we now what to expect.

Simple, chic boutique hotel in a convenient area easily walkable to food and shopping. Friendly, professional host. The room was simple and a little on the older side but had a/c, coffee/water, was clean, and faced onto a quiet lot. Overall would go again. Be warned that the entrance is on a steep hill, for those who might need help walking.

I recently stayed at the Galata Royal Hotel in Istanbul, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—everything is within walking distance, from transportation options to a wide array of restaurants, shops, and local markets. You’re just a short stroll away from the vibrant Taksim Square and some of Istanbul’s most famous historical sites, making it perfect for exploring the city. The hotel itself is fantastic—comfortable, clean, and modern, with excellent amenities. But what truly made my stay exceptional was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home, and I want to especially mention Baris. He treated me like family, always ensuring that I had everything I needed and offering helpful recommendations for things to see and do around the city. His kindness and generosity were beyond what I expected, and it truly made my time in Istanbul unforgettable. Room was smaller than anticipated, with very small bathroom Staff were great though, always helpful and friendly Hotel is perfect for Galata Tower and Taksim Square but beware that airport transportation struggle to find it due to one way system on narrow approach roads

The Royal Galata hotel was clean, cute, and perfectly located. One of the managers Baris, was very helpful! He helped me schedule a covid-test required for entry back into the states, printed out documents for me, and scheduled a taxi to the airport for me. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Did not sleep at all. At first look the room seemed fine and the ahower was excellent, but the room faced the street which was noisy all night with people and cars and the seals on the windows were so bad, that you could hear the noise as if the window was open. Pillow and mattress were extremely uncomfortable. Switched air con off, but it kept making dripping noises all night. Would not book again…
