Hotel’s interior and design is nice and modern (even it is 13 years old). Lady from the Reception desk was not responsive, unfortunately. I was expect another level of service from Crowne Plaza, not just “Hi, passport please, take you key, bye”. We didn’t get any information about hotel (food, drinks, Spa etc) at all. Room was nice and spacious (suite), but cushions and a pillow cover had stains on it, bathrobes and iron were missing, as well as mini bar price list and room service menu. So many things are missing from a standard CP concept! At night I called to reception (twice) and asked for an extra duvet - finally (in 20 min) HK guy brought it, but without a cover! Another call to reception, no apologize, reception simply put the phone down... Room has a good soundproof glasses, automatically blackout curtains, aircon works well. Good shower experience - water very hot and pressure very high. Location of the hotel is comfortable for city trips - 5 min by foot to the nearest metro station, 10 min by foot to Nişantaşı area, 15 min by foot to Taxim square, also taxi always available. As for me, a bit noisy and too busy neighborhood. Resume: hotel is nice, but low level of service killing it. Reception, bar, cleaning - don’t expect anything from them, and don’t expect to find anything that is a standard for CP around the world.
Good, Solid, Not Fancy, Non luxurious hotel in a ... well, not the most friendly and welcoming area but the hotel itself is nice, good and provides a good level of service. Stayed for business and it close to the bridge and taksim area.
Fabulous place to stay in Istanbul. Very reasonable. Stayed in an excellent double room. Very friendly and efficient staff. Extremely courteous. Room very comfortable. Would like a better choice of breakfast cereals. Apart from that, I would definitely stay there again.
The Crowne Plaza is in Istanbul’s Harbiye District. This is a good hotel however the immediate surroundings are a little rundown. The staff are excellent I got an upgraded room because I am a Spire member. As the executive lounge was undergoing refurbishment the staff they gave me free breakfast which was brilliant. The location of the hotel is on near the Osmanbey Metro. When you come out of the Metro take the Pangality exit. It’s about 7 to 8 minutes walk down the hill and you’ll see the Crown Plaza in the distance. The hotel has a swimming pool gym, sauna and a steam room. There is a slight smell in the lift area of sewage not sure why that is the case. The rooms are large and due to an upgrade we were given all the modern cons that come with the privilege of being a spire member. Opposite the hotel is a lovely small mosque. You can hear the Azhan (call to prayer). Attached photos of Hotel and mosque.
I was in Crown plaza for 8 nights ... to be unest it is not a real 5* hotel. I got a huge discount for my staying so it is valuable for me. But if you wanna pay totall price I never recommend this hotel. There was very boring breakfast .. all days was same ... also I ate here the worst pancake ever I had eaten. For 4 days I was in a room that they told me its a wedding room. In first sight it was nice and looked luxury but .. actually ... there was no shower just a bathtub was in center of the room .. i couldnt take a shower at all so I asked them to change my room .. they gave me a big one but there was no sun light.. The color of water was yellow when you wanted to full bathtub.. staffs were helpful but not very friendly. But you can enjoy healths club. The location was good if you are a bit sporty :)) bus stop is near and you can reach everywhere in Istanbul if you be a bit smart.
Very good location 15 min walk from Taksim Square. Hotel has lots of windows making it bright & inviting. rooms are neat and functional. Lobby is kind of small. Food is good but not a lot of variety. Recommended.
Crowne Plaza Herbiya is no where near a 5* hotel. The condition of the hotel is terrible. I have seen better 3 star hotels. The room I stayed in was in the worst condition. The bath tub was in the room and had no shower curtains to keep the splashes in. As a result you could see the wooden flooring of the room was decolored from so many places and had blisters in it. The automatic window blinds were in such a bad condition that it looked like they will fall of any second. The location was also very bad. Nothing in the neighborhood. Only car service shops. There was a petrol pump right next to the hotel from where you could get some cold drinks, chips and cigarettes etc. There was a shopping area about 600 meters from the hotel but the alley which lead to the shopping area was so steep that it took all your energy and would leave you breathless. The breakfast was also very bad. around 30 mins to closing time all the dishes use to be empty and the staff would take the dishes away instead of refilling them. Never Again!!
I stayed for e nights in this hotel and was very happy with the hotel staff mad the chef. He cooked pure veg food food me in indian style. Rooms are big mad spacious and the hotel is located close to Taksim square.
You can use the big meeting room for you bussiness programmes and the meals of the hotel is so delicious. The hotel has also spa massage Turkish bath services. The hotel has a good terrace vith İstanbul view.
Attending a conference in Istanbul Hilton. Selection took me to this hotel for the price difference. Hotel is located close to Taxsim square. It is 10 min walk. But there is a sharp hill to climb first. It is a 5 min climb to Osman metro station. Not a lot of activities around. You have to climb the hill for restaurants and entertainment. The rooms are spacious. Very nicely appointed with furniture. Toilet is also big with a bathtub. Toiletries are found in abundance. There are tea and coffee facilities. In addition to ironing facilities. In room safe is also available. The sound isolation is a bit lousy. Voices can be heard. House keeping is a disaster and rude. Don't expect much. Reception is ok and can be improved. Avoid low floors for the sounds of the street.
