The place is close to many local attractions, muzeums, squares, parks, and winding streets with historical buildings, and Byzantine walls and ruins. Tgere are a lot of restaurants and shops here, too. Yet, many looked tourist traps to me: the quality was good, but you would get better deals, if you went farther to the north-east, or even visit the Asian part. The vicinity of the Murmur sea, seaside views, and the trail to Eminönü is another advantage. We explored the majority of those sites and attractions on foot. Daily breakfast options at the hotel were diverse and tasty under Zalifeh's supervision. The rooms are rather small, a little worn, but are cleaned daily -- sufficient to spend the night-time. Aziz's keen sense of humour kept everyone energized and in good mood. The staff are very hospitable, polite, and eager to provide assistance. Aziz and hotel manager, Elif, helped a lot in communication when the transfer company failed to arrive at the proper location.
