Stayed there for 1 night. Was awesome. Staff was very professional and helpful. Breakfast was just amazing. The location is in the heart of Istanbul with walking distance to blue masque and tens of restaurants around. Highlighly recommended.

This hotel looks differnt in the picturs , nothing is the same as you seen in pictures, it was shocking when I first see this hotel,, I start crying. They give me besment room with carpet I have asthma, I kept telling them but no one is there to help you. No manger..I hated myself for picking up this hotel. And I left the hotel the next day,, they did not return my money but I coldnt be there one minutes, there was alday that I had a chat with her she was shocked by seeing this hotel at first

Great stay, clean and comfortable with helpful staff. The breakfast spread is amazing. Close enough to main district.

Decent place on charming old-world street. Free breakfast was good. Room spotless, newish furniture and bathroom elements. Free wifi. Nice rooftop terrace. I thought it was a good value, and located really well for exploring old Istanbul: hagia sophya, blue mosque, grand bazarre. One caveat: it is right on the train tracks on the south side, where all the rooms face. Trains come by a lot. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper, but this might really bother a light sleeper.

as if my stay in Istanbul could have been any better. this hotel is great! the staff is wonderful and very helpful. you won't regret you stay here. you are 5 minutes away from the blue mosque, basilica cistern and hagia sofia. ten minutes away from topkapi palace. hotel was awesome.

The hotel was close to all the mayor attractions, a few blocks from Blue Mosque and Agia Sofia, short walk to nice restaurants, but the Hotel is besides the train railway, the first day was impossible to sleep. The staff friendly and helpfull.Free wireless internet in the rooms and included breakfast buffet.

This place is directly next to the train tracks, so unless a rumbling commuter train every 10 minutes helps you fall asleep, take my advice and avoid this place! If you really want to say here at least insist on being on the side of the building facing away from the tracks, though they will try to talk you out of this by saying the road is just as loud - (it's not). The night door man was using the room adjacent to mine as some kind of by-the-hour flophouse, I'd get back to my room and see shady looking couples hanging outside my door and waiting their turn - should I really give you any more details? The hall lights were often turned off so it was challenging to find your way back to your room, maybe to save on the electricty bills. They forgot my wake up call, which really annoyed me. This might be a good deal for $50 - $70 a night, as the location is otherwise good, the rooms are well furnished and the breakfast buffet was nice. However pay more than that and you're going to feel ripped off.

We chose this hotel because it allowed us to walk wherever we wanted in old town Istanbul. The hotel did not disappoint us - it was perfectly located by the Blue Mosque. It is next to the train tracks, so ask for a room on the road side. Tell them you do not want a room next to the rail road tracks.

Nice place, rooms are small. A train in right next to the hotel and makes it a bit loud. The breakfast is more of a continental breakfast with hot scrambled eggs.

The staff was kind and responsive to my needs. The hotel was clean and well operated. The view from the top deck was beatiful allowing me to see both the water and the city. The area was quite at night but a five minute walk form the trams and night life. I enjoyed my stay at the Almina.

The Almina Hotel was an excellent choice for us. It is a small hotel and the rooms are small but it is great value for a wonderful city.It suited our needs perfectly. We wanted to be able to walk to all the sites (an easy distance) and to use public transporation if needed. We used the tramway to travel to the Asian side of Istanbul (very easy to do). The staff was most accommodating and the included breakfast was excellent. After long days of sight seeing (we were there seven nights) we were welcomed in with tea and coffee in the evening. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would stay there on another visit to Istanbul

the place is full of friendly staff. the place is closed in the night time with security and the front desk guy ready to open you when you come late. a comfortable and safe place to be. the location is near the center but away from the maddening tourist areas.

The hotel is great. Perfect location, 5 min walk to most major attractions in Istnanbul. Rooms are huge (by European standards), clean, modern, and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful-but they do really push tours (they get a cut), once I made it clear that I was interested in discovering Istanbul on my own, they backed off. Breakfast is good and well stocked, with a great view of the Bosphorus. My only complaint is that it is right next to a fairly busy train line, that literally shakes the room when the trains pass. This was not too much of a problem since I wasn't in the room much and the trains don't run after 10pm, but for those that are early to bed and late to rise it could be a little loud.
