Everything was great. It really needed more entertainment at night.
This property is at least 25 years old and it’s age shows. The cleaning staff do a fabulous job. We were originally booked in the Las Sirenas rooms. Those rooms are incredibly small with no place to even put your luggage. We “upgraded” to a larger condo type unit, but paid $600 for it. This resort is not your typical all-inclusive. There are three actual restaurants plus a buffet. The all-inclusive only allows you to eat breakfast and lunch at the buffet, not at any of the restaurants. Dinner can be had at the restaurants only if you get up at 7am each morning to make a reservation. Crazy, because most times we did make reservations there were only a few tables that had people at them. Also, breakfast and lunch are only available for a two hour window. And yes, alcoholic drinks are included, but most times we needed to go fetch our own, especially if you are on the beach.

My first bad review and only review ive ever done. Probably the worst buffet breakfast and dinner Ive seen in all my travels. Flies everywhere and took one look and walked out. Absolutely horrible. Service at the bar was fair, and one waiter was really good. Forgot his name. Pool was nice and the lounge chairs were great as well as the pool facilities. The front desk manager was rude and obnoxious tried to rip me off and charged me $65 for 35 min late to checkout while i waited for the bell captain. . Now this
Our beach front room was beautiful. Our room was just a few steps away from the beach, the main bar and restaurant which made it very convenient and pleasant. We loved it.
Mayan Princess was a terrific place to stay a terrific experience. We loved the island of Roatán. A return trip is in the future. 🏝💗👍

We stayed here all-inclusive from 13-20 Aug 2018. We thought the room we had (226) was nice. The bedroom is separate from the living room/kitchen. Bathroom doors opened into both bedroom and living area. The cooking area for those on a different package seemed nice enough. Oven and stove, fridge, and microwave. An assortment of dishes, pots and pans etc. It did have a coffee maker as well. It seemed like many of the resorts on Roatan; or at least on the west end beach, are long and narrow because of the island size and beach arrangement. Only a few actual rooms face the ocean. This way many resorts and dive shops can be squeezed in. On-site, there is a spa, dive shop, and a small gift shop. The pool is between the two main buildings of rental rooms. Each room at least in our area is setup like a 4 plex. 2 upper and 2 lower units, then several units along each side. The 3 main restaurants are also between the 2 rows of rooms/units after the pool ends. The main buffet has a variety of foods for each meal, and if you pay attention, there are also 2 grill areas; one on each end, that also offer items changing daily or rotating. At breakfast one of the stations was setup for omelets (Normal selection of ingredients were, tomato, green peppers, onion, black sliced olives, little green olives, diced jalapenos, pork, chicken, white and/or yellow cheese, I know I’m missing an item or two) or fried / scrambled eggs. There were also three sauce bowls as well, Green jalapeno, red chip
Very nice smaller scale resort with friendly staff & an amazingly beautiful beach! The turquoise waters are a paradise dream. The hotel is ver well kept with beautiful gardens! The food “a la carte” is just divine! The only thing it lacks is a more up beat Pool atmosphere. Some music perhaps guests activities by the pool, would have made this an excellent resort.
Great location, food and facilities. The beach is a few steps from hotel room door, calm clear waters.
We had a great time the only thing I would recommend to check hairdryer in the room was not working and the coffeemaker, also the staff were very friendly and helpful we love our stay at Mayan princess thank you for everything we will have this hotel on top of our list for vacation.

While the resort is located on beautiful premises the staff made a huge negative impact on our stay. We were given looks and not welcomed as friendly as other guests. We have a one year old who wants to move around and because of this we brought our food to our rooms and we were given looks every single time and the sad part is that it wasn’t by any other guest but by the employees there. The WiFi is terrible and many activities that we saw were included were not. Also one of the front desk managers (a middle aged man) was very rude when we were checking out. While you have great potential because it’s a beautiful resort we will not be returning here because of the staff. With the exception of Gabriel, Angel and Janet who were magnificent!! Also the cleaning lady Ana did a wonderful job.
