Really pleased with the hotel Very nice lobby good food great ambience

The location was amazing. Only tip. Do not throw paper in toilet. Water pressure over all in Holbox is very weak. Staff was great and they acomodated every request we desired.

Loved this hotel. It has a boutique style feel to it, despite having quite a few rooms to it. The sandy pathways made both the restaurant, lobby and beach easily accessible and nothing was too far apart. Had the best of bith worlds, feeling like you were in the jungle with the beach right outside your doorstep. 10 minute walk to the town square. Just far enough to be a very quiet destination, but very easy and quick to get downtown for food or groceries. Would highly recommend. Great place for families with little ones.

We loved our room, the dining experience, and the beach! Our only issue was that it was impossible not to track sand throughout the room - a bigger door mat would help. Beautiful room, beautiful beach. The kids were in heaven too.

Spent our anniversary vacation here. Couldn't have been happier.

Would never stay here again, not worth the money and the room was dirty.

Would recommend staying here and will come back again. Hotel is right on the beach and the inclusive breakfast is really really good with freshly made juices and eggs anyway

Almost don't want to tell everyone what a great place this is. Keep it as our own little piece of paradise.

The hotel is one of the nicest on the island. Very quiet and tranquil. Only one restaurant on property but tones of them with in walking distance. Room was very clean. We only had internet access in the lobby and by the pool. Great to get away and reconnect with love one.

Spent the weekend of 6/21 at Villas Paraiso Del Mar. Lush and beautifully landscaped, it just feels like a relaxing place to stay. Reception was fairly quick, no surprises. The room was charming. The bed was comfortable for us. For some reason, we were not supplied with hand towels, as usually expected in hotels. The water in the shower was cold, never getting warm. However, we didn't feel like this was an issue since it was so hot outside. One last thing, the windows were designed a little strange with the shutters being on the inside after the window. This means you couldn't leave the window's open for screen-protected breeze without being completely exposed to the outside. Just make sure you are fully clothed if you want the windows open. After arriving we decided to add on the AI because it also included, along with typical food/ drink, use of bicycles and kayaks. Unfortunately we used neither, choosing instead just to relax on the beach. We already brought our own drinks so it ended up being a waste. Not having to leave for food was nice, which for this visit was ok since we didn't want to do anything but sleep on the beach. Food at the buffet was ok. I felt the selection was somewhat limited, but everything available was good. Drinks from the bar were good for us. Not too strong, not to weak; just right! The beach was amazing! We spent all Saturday laying on the beach. Luckily for us most of the guests were large families hanging out by the pool, because I do not feel there was enough shaded options on the beach, at last not to accommodate the size of the place. Nonetheless, it was exactly what we were hoping it to be and it made our trip the most satisfying. We followed a family of rays around for a bit, small fish everywhere in the clear water. I arranged for a couples massage and romantic dinner on the beach. Unfortunately, they only had 1 massage table/ bed on the beach, meaning we would need to take turns. I let my wife go first. Turns out, because of the mosquito situation they needed to move the massage to the salon next to screaming kids in the pool. Not very relaxing, but my wife says the actual massage was the best ever. I was asleep on the hammock while this happened, otherwise I could have made adjustments. They can do a better job of spraying/ protecting the beach massage area. I ended up needing to skip my massage because the lady showed up late, to no fault of her own, and gave my wife some extra time. The romantic dinner on the beach was amazing. Fortunately, I was prepared for the mosquito's and had 100% deet applied and mosquito coils burning at the table. I offered the deet to our dedicated server because I could see he was being eaten alive. Again, had we not been prepared this would have been a horrible experience. With all the candles and torches they were burning some of them could have easily been citronella, at the least. In any case, they served us way too much food. I hate that as a complaint, it was so delicious I did not want to have to waste it. If you are celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary, or just want a romantic night then I HIGHLY recommend it. Just make sure you are prepared for the flying visitors. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I enjoyed the island and will definitely be back, but I might think about trying some of the other wonderful places on the island as well. Some tips: Be prepared for mosquito's. Strong deet and mosquito coils made a huge difference for us. I was able to sleep on the hammock by our room for 2 hours with no bites. Also, take 2 pairs of sandles, one for outside and one for inside, otherwise sand gets everywhere in the room.

Perfect resort- beautiful, private, relaxing! Amazing vacation!

Although the hotel has no control over Mother Nature, we were disappointed in the condition of the beach in front of the hotels in this area. It seems there were recent storms that deposited quite a bit of seaweed and other plants on the beach. The resort is very well maintained. No complaints on anything that the hotel has control over...the hotel has a pool that is small but adequate. The plants and gardens are lovely. The staff always with a smile. It was a nice stay and we look forward to visiting again when the beach is cleaned up. By the way, we were able to rent a golf cart and get to a beautiful beach at the end of the island, so we cannot complain too much!

I wasn't really sure what to expect having not traveled to Mexico during the winter months. We stayed for a total of 5 days (December 26 - December 31) and the first couple of days we were there, it was cloudy, cold and windy during the day BUT that did not ruin our trip at all. We were able to walk in the water and on the beach with shorts and sweatshirts on. When it warmed up we went kayaking - so much fun! We took a boat tour and the dolphins swam right beside our boat - very cool. I have never seen sunsets, stars and crystal clear water like I saw on Isla Holbox... breathtaking!! We enjoyed going to the plaza for lunch, dinner and shopping! We will absolutely visit again! The hotel was fabulous! The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was great and always very accomodating.
