Were in thsi hotel. At the beggining everything went good enough. Ac. worked nicely. The room even had a mini fridge! which was a nice plus. Things went bad when got into the bath. Shower bas broken. After a few minutes the head of the shower fell off. Added to this, the watter wasn't hot enough. We reported this to the reception clerk whom said will be fixed. This didn't happen, sadly. At check out time not even apologies they said to us.I'd stay here again if it was my last option.
This hotel is located on the main road of hollbox island,it has a small rooftop pool but the view is great, you can see the beach and the whole town, there is a bar on the rooftop and music at night,3 min walk to the beach and good restaurants around the hotel. The rooms are clean and the Ac works great.
We just stayed at Hotel Arena. The island seems a little overpriced in general and for the price, Hotel Arena is a little basic. The location is in the main square, which is nice although it's very busy, and the rooftop bar keeps going till late (which is either great or a bit noisy, depending on your opinion). The rooms were cleaned every day, the balcony was small but pleasant and the cool tub on the roof was possibly the best feature, with a nice view over the rooftops to the ocean. No breakfast offered as there isn't room, and the Wi-Fi hardly worked. The staff were very nice, but the front desk being in a shop below the hotel seemed a bit impersonal somehow.
There are ups and down here. The pool and rooftop bar are cool and a great way to spend a few hours, but the rooms do get very noisy at night due to the loud music. The aesthetics of the building are pleasing, but the wifi is weak and barely functioning.
cant really understand some of the bad reviews here. this is a really nice hostel right at the main square with a pool on top and a great view from the roof. the price is really acceptable and the staff super friendly.
This is a great location, although very noisy. The salsa music in town started from 10pm and didn't finish until 3.30am every night we were there (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and even with ear plugs the beat is very clear. The overall place is cute an colourful and the reception staff are very friendly. The suite (1) with a king bed and double is spacious with a great balcony, it has a tv, air con, ceiling fan, and a full kitchen (microwave, stove top, cooking utensils, fridge). A nice big bathroom and shower with great water pressure and hot water. The bar and pool/spa on the roof are very cool and convenient. Amazing spot to watch the sunset (second to the beach) as its one of the highest spots on the island. You can hear the golf buggys going along the street regularly. Although the room looked impressive, it was not very clean. There was a bag of mouldy sandwiches in the cupboard from the last guests, the dishes weren't washed well, there were long black hairs in the shower and the bed, and the towels were very stained and ripped. The pillows are quite plastic and very poor quality. I would recommend this place to those on a tight budget, who plan to be out amongst the party goers at night.
If any guide or hotel booking list this hotel as a 3+ hotell , remove a point and + and you get closer to the truth. Ill list + first + Beds +5min walk to the beach +in the town square so you are close all the resturantes etc around you and easy to get to rent a bike or golf car. + Roof top bar with very small pool + little hotell only 7 rooms. - Receptions open only in day and open and closes on time so days and some days not. Not sure if there is a emergency number you can reach anyone on if something breakes in the hotel. -roof top bar only open from about 5pm to mostly 12pm all depending on the weather at the time. - pool never cleaned that i could see in my time there. - cleaning not very good even tested to increase the daily tip to see if that helped. - lock that you could hire for the deposit box in room was extremly little so not very safe and the rent cost for it not very cheap for that matter. - no refrigator to cool water or food. - If bar is opne they play music pretty loud and most any other bar so be aware Bottom line, imo opionen the hotell facilities and service is like a poorly held budget hotell but more expensive. if you still want to book pro tip , get the room towards the street they have balcony and i think are a bit bigger the other rooms on the other side have zero view .
Pretty worn down place. Not clean (dirty walls, disgusting soap dispensers, spotted sheets with holes in them and some hairs). Very loud from the roof top bar that "could be experienced as disturbing" if you as we stayed in a room just beneath it. You might as well have the bar in your bedroom. Not especially comfortable beds. No bedside lamps for reading. Overall a cheap stay ok for a couple of nights. Staff nice.
This little hotel is right on the main square and only two blocks from the water. The rooms were nice and the lobby was amazing. The roof top bar is a little loud but that just reminded me I was to young to be going to bed so early, so I went up and had a drink.
The rooms are gorgeous and the eco friendly style throughout the hotel was beautiful. Location is central to everything and the roof top bar gives the most amazing views and cocktails. Only negative was if you wanted an early night the bar is loud (but that didnt apply to us!)
