Amazing home away from home. This is where remote meets comfort. It’s the best of both worlds, remote island living with luxury restaurant, pool and lovely appointed rooms. Perfect location to walk into town but feel a bit removed. Great bar and restaurant next door. We’ve been to Isla Holbox twice, stayed in 3 different hotels and this is by far the very best. The rooms are spacious, comfortable beds, great amenities. The pool is a lovely size and so nice to be able to have a dip to refresh. The beach area has lots of day beds, and if someone is gone for 30mins, they’re bed is up for grabs so none of this ‘book and towel to save it all day’ stuff. The restaurant is pricey for Mexico, but absolutely and totally worth it for the quality and service. The food is made with consideration and love. The breakfasts are just above and beyond! We LOVED it here and can’t wait to come back. Recently recommended it to some friends going on their honeymoon and we’re so jealous they’ve booked!!!

While we ultimately decided not to stay here, we did spend a good amount of time doing a day rental on their beach loungers, dining in their restaurant, watching the sunset from the rooftop and taking their yoga classes. All in all, the service was really outstanding and everything was great. I did notice their wifi was worse than most other places because we didn't have any problems with it at HM Palapas del Mar, but it's hardly a complaint -- we weren't trying to be online! The beach is definitely a bit nicer further up towards Las Nubes, but Tortugas is in the middle of everything and just super fun to people watch as you hang by the beach. It was beautiful and dreamy... So surprisingly it was not overrun with influencer girls, so that was a relief! Go check it out!

What an am amazing place this is, perfect location, welcoming and friendly. We loved our Bali style rooms which are all unique and beautifully styled - great touches all round! breakfast, juices - dinner and lunch also amazing! very relaxed - beach service to just chill and watch the beach vendors and walkers go by all day long looking out at that fabulous crystal ocean and don’t even get me started on the sunsets! Wow holbox you are very special!

Unexpected luxury on this remote Island. The manager (from Barcelona) helped us a lot when we had a problem. Resort is beautiful, breakfast great, beach very nice, but the best is all the team! Especially Sandra and her colleague from Cologne ( the team is from Mexico and all around the world). Always there to help you, serve you but never bothering. One of the best places we've been

The place is just as we dreamt. Small, private and really quiet. Rustic arquitecture and hammocks everywhere. The restaurant (Mandarina) is one of the best in the island. Great location with a beautiful beach space, and just where downtown starts.

After a six day stay at another hotel on the island, we found ourselves coming back to Casa Tortuga again and again for a sumptuous dinner after watching the sunset. While we loved our other hotel with it's nevus style, sleek rooms, Casa Tortuga offered a more cozy, eclectic vibe. The lush greenery and tiled pool offered an inviting hand into the beachfront restaurant. We ate a five star dinner with our toes in the sand, enjoying bottles of Chilean wine and tiki torches to keep the abundant mosquitos at bay (the only negative we have to offer). Pasta, fish, wine, margaritas, service, all spot on. We'll be back!

This is our second time staying here, and each time we've regretted that we didn't stay longer! There are newer and more expensive hotels on Holbox, but if you are seeking intimate luxury and exquisite charm with attentive staff, this is for you!

On the edge of town, but walking distance to everything, this lovely little hotel is an ideal escape from the real world. The outstanding customer service from the team here is what helps set this place apart. We’ve stayed in other places on the island, and Casa Las Tortugas offers a modern approach without taking away what makes Holbox unique. The rooms are lovely, the pool tranquil, the beach serene and the restaurants delicious. Whilst there is room for a few little improvements around the place, including no working wifi (whilst we were there), you learn to love being off the grid. All in all it’s worth spending the few extra dollars to be here and we’ll definitely be back.

We had a second story beach front nest with hammocks on the porch. I enjoyed everything about the establishment. The food and the serving staff were great and very helpful. The white sand is beautifully maintained, cleaned and cared for which the majority of places on the island seem to not care about. We were a little worried about the temperatures being too warm but that wasn’t so. We loved our floating bed cabana where we hid out in the peak sun hours of the day. We stayed another three days at another resort just a few hotels down which was nice and about the same price if not a little more but not nearly as pleasant as Casa Las Tortugas.

I almost don't want to post this because I don't want the most magical hotel on the island to be discovered by the world! The staff at Casa Las Tortugas was so nice, the rooms were perfectly clean and COLD, and the complimentary breakfast every morning was delicious. I want to come back as soon as possible. Thanks to Caroline, Emma, the sushi chef, and the entire staff for making such a memorable stay for our honeymoon.
