best place in the mexican caribbean excellent service excellent rooms excellent food excellent view overall a 10+ for sure, my family and i will be back!!! thanks to las nubes and there great service.

The hotel is situated on quiet part of the beach. We stayed in a junior suite overlooking the sandbar and the ocean which is a spectacular view. As we were celebrating a special occasion, the staff were excellent in helping us in anyway possible. They even arranged a table for dinner on the deck of the bar just for us. The view and tranquility was perfect. The staff were excellent during our stay, helpful and polite. They always offered us a spin to the town center each evening. Holbox is a beautiful place!! And this this hotel is a perfect fit to enjoy paradise. Can’t wait to return some day.

We had a sensational stay at Las Nubes, which boats by far the best location on Holbox and the best spot to watch the sunset. The incredible beach club, fantastic facilities like paddle boards and kayaks are free of charge. A stunning setting for breakfast. This was paradise and we didn't want to leave!

We stayed at Las Nubes for our mini-moon in April. The property is very secluded and faces a very long sand strip where you can walk forever and enjoy the beauty and peace of Holbox island. Our room was spacious and had a lovely balcony. Breakfast was delicious even if you have to watch out for the aggressive seagulls :) - there are also many raccoons at night but we love animals so we did not mind them (they do try to get near the people who have dinner to eat some food though) - overall it was a very pleasant experience, the front desk could have been a bit nicer and welcoming but at least they weren't rude.

I have never lived such a bad service in a hotel of this standard. Holbox is very demanded and they might think that they can manage people badly because they will not come back and will not take time to write a comment. During our stay, we were not the only one complaining. There is especially some one at the desk who speaks a perfect english and might think that it will be enough to solve all the problem you might encounter. Do not ask to speak to the General Manager, it will worth and you will be given advices ... Good point: The Chief at the restaurant is Great and has a notion of services of a very different standard compared to the hotel

One of the most beautiful and romantic places I have ever been in my life. My room was in front of the pool facing the ocean, awesome view. The ocean was crystal green, shallow and breathtaking. The sand is white thin and you can walk in the Ocean for miles because the tie is very low. Everyone was so nice I took a taxi from Tulum to the ferry. As I arrived on the 30-minute ferry the yellow golf carts taxis are waiting for me. For 50 pesos which is 3 dollars but the driver asked for 5 we were driven for 5 minutes to the hotel. The reception was great with a welcome margarita and 15 minutes Massage that you can have from 8 am to 4 pm. The first night I was starving and they only had pasta and pizza, I am in Mexico so I want Mexican food not Italian. The entire time I was there the service was great they are tentative and nice, but the food needs some improvement. I would recommend the fish tacos grilled instead of fried. The guacamole is not tasty. The filet mignon fajitas are good. I booked my free 15 minutes massage with an extended 1 hour since I can’t have the free 15 m after 4 pm. But the manager forgot to tell the masseuse so I had to wait 30 minutes for my massage to start. I took a vacation to relax but there is always some kind of stress. Júriko was the female manager and Yansel took care of the front desk. The massage was just ok plus the lady did only the 1 paid hour not the free 15 minutes that I was supposed to get and before the massage, I made sure with the front desk to tell her, so I was not happy about that, false advertisement. The rooms are very clean and the cleaning services are great. At 10 pm everything shuts down the restaurant, bar, even the internet so you have no choice but go to sleep. There is no TV, phone service or internet in the rooms. The TV didn’t bother me, but the NO WiFi and phone service did because I had to go to the bar every time I wanted to check my emails, post a photo on social media, talk on the phone, read the news.

This place was phenomenal, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was AMAZING. The included breakfast was breads, coffee and some egg dishes and pancakes so it truly had something for everyone. The location at the end of town made it secluded and quiet and a peaceful retreat. I never want to go anywhere else in Mexico!! It was an incredible experience and we will be back for sure!! Also, one of the best margaritas I've ever had at the beach bar! Ceviche and lobster to die for! Easy booking for Whale Shark tour and complimentary bikes were a fun day. It was an incredible paradise with an amazing sunset and sunrise every day.

We have just returned from a couples holiday (1st-12th July) and we stayed in one of the Jungle Suite Ocean View rooms (room 25). THE ROOM Our room was right at the end of the hotel, with only one other room next to us (room 27 which is a corner room) therefore foot traffic was extremely limited - so much so we felt comfortable keeping the curtains open all day and most of the evening until bed. It was exceptionally quiet and private. Just a few meters from walking into the sea and the beach was about a 1 minute walk away. The room itself was quite basic but you don't really spend much time in there. The bed was an american super king, very comfortable and the room was always well cleaned. Not many options for 'romantic' lighting to create an atmosphere if that's what you're looking for. THE BEACH Incredible - clear water and clean shores. The hotel is located right next to a bank of sand that appears in the sea throughout the day, so you can swim out and walk on the sandy bank surrounded by water and then walk along the bank in the evenings to see flamingos or watch the sunset! it's incredible. Beach facilities were top notch. Nice cabanas (don't have to pay to use it like in some places), umbrellas etc. there is a beach bar which serves food as well. You can rent (for free) kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. STAFF/FOOD Always helpful, smiling and pleasant to talk to. They all spoke very basic English but enough for us to communicate and were very happy to teach us spanish. Food was delicious and really great quality. We more or less ate at the hotel most days and never got tired of the menu (tacos!). Lots of fresh fish - although lobster was out of season and unavailable. LOCAL AREA Town center was 25m walk along the beach or a 5m buggy ride (50 pesos one way). We really liked being at the opposite end of the town center as it meant our hotel was super quiet and also you didnt have non-hotel residents walking along your stretch of the beach, as the ones near the center are open to the public as well. Nice places to eat and few shops too. Cute town but not a huge amount to do there. BUGS There were quite a few mosquitoes at the usual time of day but our repellent light and spray worked well - although I was bitten A LOT by these small tiny flying bugs that are local to all of Holbox. It was annoying but certainly not unique or the fault of the hotel - who were very helpful and gave me their own repellent cream for free. OTHER GREAT music!!!! at the beach bar, in the restaurant - all at a pleasant volume but very relaxing and pleasant to have in the background. Lots of wildlife all over the hotel, especially near the beaches/main reception area - raccoons, iguanas, birds etc. all VERY friendly and amusing to watch. There is no spa at the hotel, but you can easily go to one of the nearby hotels for treatments - i found it made for a nice 'day out' of the hotel and mixed things up a bit. There is not much in the way of evening entertainment i.e. no live bands, tv for sport etc. so you're very much entertainment yourselves or go into town. Wifi is patchy throughout the hotel and beach area but it does work although we had zero phone signal at all in our room. We loved the break from work emails and we're not big on social media so this was perfect, but not ideal if you NEED to have access to emails, social media etc. Would we go again? Yes, definitely! Hope this helps some of you!

We booked this hotel for 5 nights and had a good stay. The room offered a lot of space, the restaurant was nice and staff was very supportive. We were a bit disappointed that „continental breakfast“ just included coffee, juice and fruit platter. We expected more. Wifi was not constantly working in the common areas. We were not allowed to rent the SUP and kayak for three days due to bad weather forecast but many other people around us were using it at the same time. So we could not use it during our stay. The hotel is located far away from the center. If you want to go by feet it will take you 25 minutes but during the night there is no light at the path so I would not recommend to do it. We enjoyed our stay but next time we will book a room in the Center.

Excelent place to relax and spend great time with the family. Keeps you in total contact with nature. Flamingos fly infront of the deck where you are having breakfast. You can walk and walk into the ocean and water will stil be calm and not higher than your knees. Excelent service from the staff. The food is good and always fresh.
