A spontaneous stay just because we didn't feel like driving home in the dark winter night after attending the Christmas lights at Upper Canada Village. Great decision that made for a wonderful weekend! Property showed pride of care throughout, and the warmth of the staff both in the lobby and at Mac's pub made us feel like we'd walked into a Christmas movie. The impact of this type of welcoming reception cannot be understated- It has become a true luxury to encounter individuals for whom hospitality is a career to be taken seriously and not just an income source. The folks at McIntosh Inn are a shining example everyone should experience. We are already planning a Summer return when the pool is open, and hopefully attending the Christmas lights again next year with our whole brood of grandchildren. Thanks to everyone for a memorable Anniversary weekend!

The property was definitely older but had a lot of charm. The room was equipped with a small bar fridge, TV and a desk. There was a small dresser, space to hang clothes, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was quite small but worked. The restaurant was great and we really enjoyed the Saturday night prime rib buffet. The outdoor pool was closed but the indoor hot tub and sauna were nice and hot after being caught out in a snow storm. Special shoutout to Patty who was absolutely wonderful!

Room has been modernized ans was clean. The room attendant was excellent and provided great service. Dining room hours need to be updated online, it stated a 7 am opening and it was really 9 am when it opened.
