Beautiful view and friendly staff. Restaurant on the property has good food and full bar. We were there on a Saturday and there was live fiddle music! There is also a small convenience store/alcohol store on property which is very convenient.

We enjoyed the accommodation and cleanliness of the Iona Heights Inn. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The pub has delicious meals, and the hot breakfast buffet was the best experience of our trip.

Property felt a bit rundown. Room was clean but smelled of mildew. Pub was nice, great local performer but music was far too loud for the space. Ate supper there but wasn’t told there was an additional charge because there was music happening, $5 was just added to the bill at the end which was strange. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, definitely their biggest asset:)

The fixtures in room were tacky metal cart between beds, only lighting was metal work type lights. Bed was mattress on metal frame. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Reastraunt food was good.

We loved staying here and exploring the Cape Breton area with this as our base. The room was comfortable, and there was a Pub on the premises that served good food. Though the breakfast buffet was pricy. The view from the room was worth it.

The restaurant/bar had a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. The buffet breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of food options. The furniture in our room was very dated and worn. The bed was very comfortable. Overall, it was ok for a one night stay. The views from the hotel are amazing.

It’s a beautiful property by the lake with great view of the lake and the mountain. The rooms are clean and has all the required amenities. There is also a very nice restaurant that is part of the property. They host events and have a good selection of menu. I was happy to find a veggie burger on the menu which is sometimes not easy to find especially in a small place. If you are planning a trip to Cape Breton I would definitely recommend this cute little inn. The staff is also very warm and friendly. Breakfast is at an additional cost but it’s worth the price. Thank you for your hospitality!

4 people staying in room. Room was not cleaned other than the sheets being changed and beds made. Dirty toilet, a pill and empty toilet paper roll under the sink vanity. Floor in bathroom, especially around toilet and corner digusting. No hairdryer and only 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper on holder. Not enough hooks or towel bars in bathroom. Under bed had not been cleaned in quite awhile...lots of dust bunnies and fuzz. We accidently spilled a bit of water on the floor and counter, and when we wiped each the paper towel was black. The floor was also sticky. Inside of door also had something dark spilled on it. Went to the front desk, and they did come promptly. The licensed restaurant was good, with reasonable prices. There was also a band playing, which was a nice treat. View was very nice as well.
