In town for Indianapolis marathon, wished had fridge to keep beverages cool. Otherwise, great stay, stay beyond friendly and attentive. Hope to get room there for next years marathon.
I had a wonderful experience staying in Indianapolis. The hotel is comfy, and the downtown location very convenient. I would stay in the same hotel next time coming to Indianapolis!
Good location, staff friendly, overall a great trip
The location of this hotel is right between the attractions of downtown, the nice canal walk area, and the capitol. This made sight seeing easy for us. Overall, the hotel is really very nice, modern and clean. We got a great deal and it was a terrific stay. The only gripe is the parking garage charges $30 a night, which I thought was high for not being right on the circle.
Sawing, hammering, and dropping of tools directly above our room occurred from 8:00 a.m. To 6:00 p.m. daily. No advance warning. Compensation resulted in concierge lounge privileges. Lounge was understaffed. Wait staff pulled a trash can over and scraped food directly into it rather than carrying dishes to kitchen. Not worth the discount that was advertised!
Couldnt get the room to cool down, sohalf the time there it was hot til they fixed it, the shower was squiting all over where it is connected. Wasnt impressed with the room, paid 250 & another 36 to park which should cime with the room, so about 300$ to stay there about 20hrs is ur check in to check out mot even a full day, not happy with the over all stay.
The newer JW Marriott outshines this one, but the room was just fine. The service was great. The room was bright and clean, but showing some wear. My biggest complaint was how thin the walls were. Two mornings in a row I heard my neighbor's wake-up call and cellphone alarms.
Nice location and lobby. Needs updating in the guest rooms.
Nothing specific other than everyone was there to make the experience relaxing.
Was here for a conference. Everything was great. Everything was functioning. Staff was friendly. Would return.
The hotel worked great for our needs of being close to the convention center. It was a lovely property. Did not like not having a continental breakfast or being able to choose room type or order the roll away I wanted.
Very convenient to the Indianapolis Convention Center. 2 bars, 2 restaurants and a Starbucks. 2 blocks from the center of downtown area. Very good value.
The staff is so friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The location is perfect- so close to restaurants, shopping, and attractions. Loved our stay
Overall the stay was fine, room was a bit warm but clean. Front desk staff, conceirge and valet were all top notch. My one complaint was that the cleaning crew did not shut the door all the way and could be pushed open on my return. Nothing was missing, but it could have been a problem. Lots of football fans staying there over the weekend and lots of things going on and it was a fun atmosphere.
I've stayed in quite a few Marriotts over the years and generally like their service and their beds. I suppose they earn consistency points. The room was standard. We asked for a king room but were denied and given two double beds. It was our 5th wedding anniversary, so this was kind of a let down. I wouldn't rate this hotel as a four star hotel. Sure the lobby and peripheral "polish & shine" are snazzy, but when it comes to the core offering - the room - it wasn't really all that different than staying in just about any 3-star hotel. Location was great for downtown access. Also some room disadvantages include: no option to turn the room fan on at night, so you hear all the noise of the hallway and other rooms. Also they charge for room internet. In this day and age that is ridiculous and just a money source for the hotel.
I can not imagine being more dissapointed than I was with this hotel. We were in town for our 10th anniversary so I decided to splurge and spend the almost $300 for the deluxe room. Apparetly "deluxe" is defined as the presence of chair and ottoman. I called two days prior to our stay to ensure we would be in a room with a king size bed. I was told that it was very likely that one would be available. We proceeded to check in early only to find out that all king rooms were taken. We made our way to the room and found two double beds and a chair with ottoman. Perhaps this should be the "Ozzie & Harriet" suite. This is deluxe? I have to assume the "standard room" consists of bunk beds and a bean bag. I decided not to pay for wifi in the room (it is 12.95) because the free wifi in the public areas did not work with my devices. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was good but again not complimentary. The three star hotel where we had previously stayed far exceeded this hotle in amenities for almost half the cost. The lone overwhelming positive aspect of this hotel is its location. You are within a short walk to everything. It is also surrounded by other hotels which we took note of because we surely will not be staying here again.
The location of this hotel is perfect. You are only a few blocks from the downtown scene with lots of bars, clubs and restaurants and the bar in the hotel was very nice. Can't say enough about the front desk staff. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. Also helped us with an upgrade.
Great hotel for the price. The staff was very helpful and hotel is located near everything. We've stayed at other hotels downtown that were twice as expensive and this was much nicer. We will stay here again.
Had a wonderful weekend in Indy, our hotel was within walking distance of Lucas Oil Stadium and had a lot of restaurants and things nearby!
Stayed here for 3 nights with a couple of friends while attending the Big Ten Basketball Tournament. The staff was friendly, the room was comfortable, and the downtown location is extremely convenient when it comes to walking to the fieldhouse and all the restaurants.
