I hadn’t stayed at this hotel in six years. It used to be my favorite hotel in Melbourne and we were loyal guests, coming every year. Sadly, the hotel is now in very poor condition. Half of the property is under renovation, with constant noise and dust everywhere. The jacuzzi and pool were closed, and the main elevator was out of service. On top of that, medications I brought for my stay — carefully counted — went missing from my room. After noticing this, I observed very strange behavior from housekeeping, including stays of up to 45 minutes in the room, while surfaces like the TV stand and living room tables were still covered in dust. This situation caused serious distrust and discomfort. It’s very disappointing to see what was once our preferred vacation hotel turn into this. For $2,400, I would much rather stay at Crown Royal, which better reflects what this hotel used to be.

10/10 I loved my stay. Chad at front desk was very accommodating. Views from oceanfront balcony was amazing. Ben the bartender at the restaurant on property was great and drinks were good. Nice lunch specials on food and drinks. Hotel was under renovation but it was very quiet and a peaceful stay. I will be returning.

The location is under construction which has taken out virtually all amenities which I get but it would be really nice if they would at least offer a coffee station in their lobby so their customers don’t have to leave the property just to get a cup of coffee in the morning!

This property is aged and in not good maintained condition. Particular negative aspects of this hotel: 1) a very large capacity water heater is inside the bedroom closet, which generate significant heat; 2) an incredible loud-noisy A/C equipment housed in another closet within the room; (two quirks I have never seen in a hotel) ;3) aged bathtub and toilet; 4) very limited counter space in the bathroom; 5) the pool and pool area are rather unpleasean and not worth os a "resort" hotel. Additionaly, the hotel is "under renovation", but this fact was not disclosed in the property details. In conclusion, I paid $201 a night (including taxes) for a hotel that is not worth $100 a night. TO BE AVOIDED
