Fabulous Beach Retreat!

We stayed at the Salty Dog beach property from 10/22/23-10-27/23. This was our 3rd vacation to this lovely home with direct access to a beautiful beach. The 2 bedroom/2 bathroom house is spacious, clean and comfy with lovely furnishings and quality towels and linens with very comfortable mattresses and pillows. We enjoyed the outdoor deck area with nice furniture and there is a lovely gazebo area to sit and enjoy the the ocean view. There is a great hot tub on the outdoor deck. The back yard area is spacious and there is partial fencing and gates along the side back yard and seagrape hedge and the dune vegetation between the yard and the beach that provide a low barrier so that you have privacy but still have a nice view of the ocean. There are several good restaurants within a mile or 2 of the house and a Publix grocery store nearby as well. The weather was pleasant even though the ocean was rough for 3 days of that week due to high winds but we were able to enjoy walking on the beach. The primary bedroom and en-suite bathroom are very spacious. The owners are very responsive and attentive if you need to contact them. Salty Dog has become one of our favorite beach retreats and we will be returning next October! We highly recommend staying there for your beach vacation! p.s. Our border collies Waldo & Kassie loved staying there too! Karen & Blaise

Best VRBO on the beach

Having booked this place kind of last minute, I was not expecting to get an awesome beach home that has the "wow" effect, once you get into the home. With a big back yard mostly fenced in, directly on the beach with all the beach gear at the house, made it an awesome stay since my dogs stayed for a day or two (one of my kids too them home with them since she could not stay), Overall a great stay

Book it now!

We were lucky enough to be able to book last minute. Don’t waste any more time with more research… this is the place to book if the space fits your family. Wonderful house with comfortable beds, beautiful decor, and all you’ll need for your stay. But the best part: right on the beach! Literally can see the ocean from the dining room. The hot tub is a nice bonus. The tiki hut was our favorite viewing spot. The beach had a few neighbors on it but that’s it! Public access was 0.5 miles away. The shed was full of toys and amenities for the beach. Waves were perfect for playing. What a blessing! We had such a great time and can’t wait to get back. Seriously, look no further! (We even watched a 1am satellite launch from the space center. Wow!)

A Week in Paradise

This is our second stay at this home, and it's just as lovely as the first visit. Very peaceful and quiet. Love the tiki hut and beach chairs and umbrella that we used to sit on the beach.

Salty Dog is a fabulous berach retreat!

We stayed at Salty Dog Oct. 23rd-28th and we enjoyed out time there immensely! It was our second stay there. The weather was perfect beach weather so we were able to enjoy long walks on the beach and sitting on the nice deck and the tiki hut enjoying the fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The house is lovely, clean and comfy with great furnishings, ammenities, soft. luxuriously towels and bed linens and very comfortable mattress in the main suite and our adult son was very comfy in the second bedroom. The owners were very responsive and accomodating. Our border collies also enjoyed their time with us at this beautiful home. We feel truly Blessed to have discovered this special beach retreat and highly recommend it for your beach vacation. Karen & Blaise Kovaz

Just what the family needed

Overall this property did not disappoint. It was very clean, well equipped kitchen and you could not beat the view. Quiet neighborhood. The family really enjoyed it. We will return. A couple of items for ownership to consider that would have made traveling with someone that is physically challenged less stressful: shower bar in the master shower, shower chair available so one doesn’t need to rent or travel with one . Other than that it was PERFECT. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home

Paradise on the beach

This house was absolutely amazing! They thought of everything that you could possibly need. The kitchen was well stocked from cooking appliances to serving bowls and trays. The house was clean and well maintained and right on the beach. It was the perfect getaway and best of all the beach wasn’t crowded on the long weekend. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back.

This property is fantastic. The home is extremely clean and beautiful inside and out. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you can imagine. The hot tub was great on cool ocean breeze nights. We spent most of our time on the almost secluded beachfront. Resort sytle beach lounge chairs were a plus along with an umbrella. Everything you need to enjoy the ocean. The fire pit was an added bonus for marshmellow roast while listening/ and seeing the crashing waves from the beach. This place is more than 5 stars. Its a dream vacation.

Salty Dog is a treasure!

Salty Dog is bright, welcoming and well designed down to the last detail. Colors and details flow throughout to create a cohesive overall design, a sense of peace and orderliness. The decor, artwork and handmade pieces have meaning, a sense of history, and give the home its character. The furniture is extremely comfortable, we enjoyed the huge television. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glassware, pots and pans, and has a wet bar. The bathrooms are spacious with beautiful tile work. There are plenty of towels, and Steve has generously provided bath soap and hair products. The beds are comfortable. The master bedroom even boasts a well supplied coffee bar in the sitting area. The outdoor patio has beautiful and comfortable furniture — My favorites are the two teak rockers. There is an immaculate hot tub which is very easy to use. It’s a short walk to the tiki hut. The perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon happy hours, games or painting. Salty dog is quiet, peaceful, beautiful, right on the beach. My husband and I, our three adult children and our dog spent four wonderful nights there and everyone wants to go back. Steve is an extremely responsible, dedicated, host. It’s obvious how much he cares for his home.

Tiki hut dream home

We stopped here for a vacation after our vacation in Disney World. Steve was an amazing host and extremely responsive from before we booked until after we checked out. The photos accurately show the home and outside areas. Nice linens, lots of blankets, toiletries and a well stocked kitchen were appreciated. We only needed a short drive to pick up groceries and the kitchen was complete. The tiki hut was absolutely amazing and our favorite part of the property. Beach highlights: amazing sunrises, peaceful walks along the beach, searching for seashells, swimming in the ocean and building sandcastles (sand toys and boogie boards included).

Wonderful beach retreat!

My husband and I and one of our adult sons and our 2 border collies (Waldo & Kassie) enjoyed a fabulous beach vacation at this beautiful home from Oct. 22nd-27th, 2021. We were very pleased with everything about the house from the perfect views of the Atlantic Ocean, the spacious kitchen will great utensils and cookware, the lovely furnishings and comfortable beds, high-quality linens and towels, awesome deck with comfy patio furniture, beautiful, spacious bathrooms, very clean and bright! Easy beach access with a lovely tikki hut for a sunset gathering. Outdoor shower. The weather was magnificent and we enjoyed our walks on the beach immensely and we were able to walk our dogs on leash without any hassels! One of the our top beach vacations ever and we will definitely be returning soon! We highly recommend this wonderful beach house for your beach vacation! Salty Dog Baby!

Dream vacation

We were very happy to be able to rent this property. The inside was very cleaned and maintained very orderly and nice. We practically did not need anything, everything was provided as you find it when you rent a regular hotel. The hostess Steven was very supported. I enjoy the sunrise and sunset and the ocean view from the backyard and tiki bar. I highly recommend this property. Thank you.

Amazing beachside getaway

We absolutely loved this property! We looked for something with private beach access with a great kitchen and Salty Dog delivered. The amenities are amazing. Fully stocked kitchen - we cooked plenty of our meals. Beautiful spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. We loved the backyard with the hot tub and tiki hut. Would absolutely recommend!!

Weekend getaway

We had a great time and loved the Salty Dog. My wife and I took a quick getaway with our 3 children and the location of the home was great. We loved being on the beach and having the hot tub to relax after some surfing was perfect. We loved the fire pit for fires at night as well. The home was well stocked with everything we needed and the beds were comfortable and just all around great beach house.

Perfect property for a beach retreat

This is an amazing property! It is very clean, beautifully decorated and fully equiped with top of the line items all around the house. The decor made the perfect beach ambiance to make our stay a wonderful beach retreat. The access to the beach was awesome! Very close and private. The tiki hut just made the experience much more awesome! We had our snacks, drinks and music in there and had so much fun hanging out in it. We spent time at the hot tub, the fire pit, and the patio... every area of the house was enjoyable.

Perfect beach getaway

You can't beat the location - the beach is literally your back yard. Additionally, the tiki hut and hot tub are great amenities. We spent our 3 days enjoying the outdoors and never left the house. The check in process was easy as there is an electronic key holder that you open with the provide code. Upon arrival, the house was clean and well stocked with fresh, high quality towels and linens. The kitchen was well stocked with plates and cups and bar glasses. We were provided with a fresh dish sponge. We drove and brought our own beach equipment, but we did not need to - there are several beach chairs and umbrellas provided. The house is very dog friendly too - the owners provide sofa covers to every couch/chair. Officially dogs are not allowed on the beach, but I found it to be very dog friendly. We saw a lot of other dogs on the beach and had no issues taking our dog onto the beach on a leash. We would definitely rebook this house!

Beautiful house - quiet beach!

Due to the virus, we had to cancel several international vacations, so decided to splurge on a really nice beach house, right on the ocean. The home is tastefully decorated and well furnished. Only homes, so very few people on the beach near us!
