Comfort Inn Lancaster County

Nice hotel but very unfriendly staff

I arrived at the hotel 10 mins before check in and had to wait about 20 more minutes for someone to show up to check us in. There was a sign there saying to call a phone number which was for the front desk but of course there was no one there. When the person arrived she didn’t even apologize. We needed to use the computer to print our tickets and the internet wasn’t connecting asked the same girl at the Fe desk and she said that the wind might be causing an issue and she didn’t know what to do. She didn’t even try to help. The rooms are comfortable and clean. They are spacious. The fitness center had two treadmills and none of them worked which was upsetting because I run everyday and it was too cold to run outside. The breakfast was very good with a good selection. Overall my stay was ok but I would not choose this location again just because of the issue with the fitness center and the staff.

Hampton Inn & Suites Hershey Near The Park

Giant center

1 mile from Giant center which was great. Pillows have no form, shower leaks and there was no tv station guide, what channel is what? Room Has a fridge but no micro wave. Free WiFi and hot and cold breakfast was included. Definitely overpaid

Residence Inn by Marriott Harrisburg Hershey

Lots of room but lacking in everything else

We stayed here for one night during a road trip, hoping to check in early enough to grab dinner, go for a swim and relax in our room. When we arrived, our key didn't work. The hotel staff couldn't figure out why and instead of coming to us, while we were waiting outside our hotel room with our children and luggage, they made my husband walk back and forth to the lobby four times (They aren't close!) until he finally said, figure it out. They ended up moving us to a larger room, because they couldn't get any keys to work, which was nice, but the room was FREEZING (This was in July.) and neither us nor the staff could figure out how to get it warmer. We went swimming indoors, and the pool was OK....hair all over the deck and mold in the pool. We didn't end up showering before getting back on the road because the showers did NOT look appealing at all. Overall, it was annoying to be stranded and not be able to relax, and it was disappointing that we paid $200 for an old, dirty room. We won't be staying here during our next trip. There is a lot of room for families coming to the area for the parks and sporting events, so if that's all you need, this is the biggest hotel room I've stayed in!

Ramada by Wyndham Harrisburg/Hershey Area

Our first Ramada stay—Awesome!

This was our first experience with a Ramada, so we were nervous. We have 3 little kids. Check-in was fast and friendly. Our room was huge and clean. The pool and spa were well needed and awesome at night and in the morning. The free breakfast had a variety of hot and cold options and everything was delicious. We plan on switching to Ramada from two other hotels that we frequent exclusively, based on this experience.
