Despite the fact it looks old on the outside the rooms are in a decent shape and refurbished. The bathroom is a miscast and doesn't match the room refurbishments or wasn't done yet. We had an issue at check-in but that was resolved by the staff which was quite helpful and understanding. A set lunch, part of package, was horrible yet breakfast the next day was much better and surprisingly had a lot of variety. The hotel is close to the river with some nice views but also close to a lot of bars and restaurants so ideal to explore local nightlife and cuisine. Don't expect a lively and ambient hotel - it felt deserted regardless of the fact we were told the hotel was full.

Great place to eat as well. Comparing to other locations in Hue, food is much better. Many advertised locations good for drinks, but not for non-Asian food. Good pool, river view, great massage, good security. Can also set up day trips around Hue at desk.

the hotel had very large and comfortable rooms and supplied you with robes and slippers, bath amenities, coffee and tea in the rooms and bottled water which were complimentary. They had a lovely pool and spa but it was difficult getting in and out of the pool as the steps were metal and extremely narrow.

My wife and I we have had an excellent experience during one week stay at the hotel. The reception staff had shown full of care and attention to our requests and always tried to be helpful to us. The daily porter named Quang Nhat had shown a lot of care and interest to customer anytime we met. We were delighted of the great attention and care of the hotel staff specially at the reception and restaurant. Anything you need during your trip will be responded in a perfect way by the hotel staff. We also recommend this hotel because it is well located and has a beautiful view on the river.

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a package tour. Very pleased with the hotel. We were upgraded to a suite when I asked if there were any accessible shower rooms as our assigned room room was a step over and in tub/shower. Wow! The suite was huge and very comfortable with a river view balcony. Really couldn't ask for more for our stay in Hue!

it has a good location and is facing the perfume river. nice soft beds, with all the facilities. breakfast has a wide spread to choose. it can get crowded and it gets a bit noisy. rooms are big and comfortable. they have an inhouse pool. staff are attentive and the service is Ok.

We stayed in a Deluxe River View room which provided us with all the requirements you need for a comfortable accommodation. Good size room, good bathroom an excellent view of the mighty Perfume river and a great breakfast spread. Unfortunately noise from corporate functions held in our wing of the hotel half way through our 6 night stay spoilt all the good things the hotel offered. Fortunately a chance meeting with a member of the Management Team called Phoung resulted in us being upgraded to a suite in another, very quiet wing of the hotel. This all occurred without delay and the prime objective was to make our stay a pleasant one. The hotel is located within walking distance of a variety of excellent restaurants, cafes and shops. We would definitely stay there again.

This appears to be one of the earlier government-enterprise hotels built that was meant to provide updated "luxury" or amenities for the time it was built, which appears to be 1970s to 1980s-ish, but is now well worn and rather dated, with this feeling of mustiness and collected dust floating around. They provide two huge queen beds pushed together to form a gigantic bed, complimentary bowl of fresh fruit upon arrival, and it was just overall a big OK, but nothing special. The breakfast buffet included many different Vietnamese, Asian, and Western fare. The staff there aren't wait staff, but just to bus the tables. Some folks tried to make them do way too much work, and they were always very helpful. However, sometimes there were flies in the porridge or flying around the dishes (being that there are doors right out to the riverside), which isn't that appetizing. If we weren't with an organized tour, the location would not feel convenient whatsoever. The closest restaurants across the street did not serve the tastiest nor most authentic tasting pho. We later discovered a great, seemingly new restaurant on the same side of the street as the hotel that is just named after the city's renowned dish of spicy beef noodle soup, or bun bo hue. The cook has a huge vat outside, but there is indoor seating in a very clean environment. Although we were clearly foreign tourists, the staff were very nice to us. Everyone else was a local, and the price was reasonable for a delicious and large bowl of bun bo hue. For some reason we neglected to take photos of this oldish hotel that does not feel like a resort, but the other ones are similar to what our room looked like as well. We must've been too tired from all the touring. If we were ever to come back to Hue, we would choose a different hotel, especially if the price/rates showing on tripadvisor are the actual very inexpensive by western standard rates. Certainly there might be some better appointed or updated hotels. Still, wear and tear cannot be prevented unless upgrades are made.

I've stayed in this hotel before. It is always a pleasure. The pool is great; the breakfast is good. The rooms are very comfortable. It is close to the Imperial City. The spa/massage was good. Although this area needs some upgrading. The best is just being able to watch the river traffic.

We liked the quietness of this hotel while still being withing walking distance of many venues. Within 1 km of some good restaurants on the river side. Wife loved the pool. Only issue for us was the poor air con in the dining area on very hot days.
