Not 4 stars as it’s supposed to be. More like 2.5. Great view of the river, and must have been grand in its early days (pre American war), But the hotel needs serious update. The whole property smells musty and damp. The bed is hard, lumpy and so uncomfortable. Breakfast was meh… The only thing made it worthwhile was the wonderful staff.
Very friendly and sociable staff. Rooms big with a great river view. Good A/C. Liked the pool and pool bar and the expansive and delicious breakfast buffet.
