I loved this hotel. First of all, the front entrance & lobby is beautifully decorated. The rooms on the 3rd floor & higher all have excellent mountain views. The balconies overlook a very quiet side street and are a very relaxing spot to enjoy in the early morning and evenings. The rooms were LARGE and clean. Housekeeping was EXCELLENT. The bathroom showers were VERY BIG and wonderful. The hot water never ended. Breakfast was very nice & the eating area is very pleasant. My favorite part was the ROOFTOP pool overlooking Hua Hin. Great views! Plenty of space at top to lounge around & relax! Even in high-season there usually weren't very many people up top, so it was very peaceful. The location was great. Besides being on a nice quiet side street & having great views, it is very close to the Hua Hin train station & a very short walk to the beach. Also, the main road it is off is where the green baht buses make runs all day so it's very easy to flag one down & hope on. These negative reviewers are clearly the type of miserable hotel guests who are impossible to please no matter what. :) Hotel was very clean & staff was very nice and spoke English just fine. :)
Staff alternate between friendly and indifferent. Close to soi 80 if you are interested in that kind of thing. Cold AC that appeared stuck on 18 degrees. No complaints about housekeeping. You can rent a scooter from the hotel, around 200-250 Baht a day, no paperwork, just don't crash the thing. Like much of Thailand learning English is low on the list of priorities for people that have elected to work in hospitality in a tourist destination, smiling occasionally wouldn't hurt either. On a quiet soi with a few takeaway's, laundries etc.
I'd give 1/10 because roof didn't leak staff in reception don't speak English or anywhere else in hotel breakfast is a joke shower sometimes has hot water most times not had friends who lost money from room
I've previously stayed a few times at Citin Loft Pattaya (In a 1br suite) and enjoyed it. Thought I may have a similar experience at the sister hotel in Hua Hin. I was COMPLETELY WRONG. I stayed there for seven nights in a 60 sqm suite room ( I think 731) which presumably was the best room in the house. It proved to be a big let down - for example - only one connection to cover tv, chargers, devices, jug etc etc. Aircon was a roarer which made it just about impossible to sleep in comfort. Linen was threadbare. Staff looked disinterested and unmotivated. Had to specifically show the cleaner the areas of the room that needed cleaning. Outside deck was never cleaned and always had puddles of water and/or areas of dried dirt. Buffet breakfast was just about the worst I have ever encountered. On a positive note the hotel is quite well located being near to the entertainment areas ( e.g. S. 80 is only a few minutes walk away) and I found the busy main road quite easy to cross. But all in all the Hua Hin Loft is a dump to which I would never return.
Conveniently located within a short walking distance from the beach and the city center, I initially thought that this hotel was a good value for money. Although a bit old-fashioned and not spotless (the furniture needs to be refreshed...), the room was huge, clean and nice as a whole, with a great balcony and a nice mountain view. I had a quiet night on the comfortable bed and at first, I was happy with what I got. I would easily have given a 3 or 4 rating to that hotel until I checked out and that's where things went wrong. I was charged for 3 bottles of soda water which I never had and which I didn't even see in the minibar. I informed the receptionist that I had never had those bottles of soda and suggested to look for empty soda bottles in the room but to no avail. The lady (who wasn't friendly at all) continued to claim that those bottles were in the room before my arrival. Since I was on a rush, I finally paid without arguing. I heard that they also tried to charge the previous guest for a bottle of Thai whisky he had never had. I don't think that the lady at the reception did that intentionally and I rather believe that the minibar refills are poorly managed, which results in this kind of misunderstandings and which is unacceptable anyway. Too bad, caus' the place itself deserved a better rating.
This hotel feels more like at midrange hotel even though I got it at a budget price. Reception area is huge and very nice. Check-in was easy and quick. Elevator worked fine. My room on the 3.floor was bigger than I expected. Bright nice and clean. AC and fridge worked fine. So did the free safe. The kettle worked but was a bit quirky. The kingzise bed was oversize. The biggest one I ever saw. Probably 2meter wide. Very nice, but a bit on the hard side as I personally like my bed medium or soft. Breakfast was better than most budget hotels. And they offered fresh made omelette and fried eggs. Fresh fruit and juice as well as coffee/tea (of course). Cleaning and fresh towels every day. Linen twice a week was all okay. This hotel is situated in a side street to the main, and is surprisingly quite even though its only 100meter away. A few cheap restaurants within walking distance (less than 5minutes). But street food was plenty (and nice)(always nice in Thailand). A very nice and cozy pub just around the corner with polite and good looking Thai girls (the serious kind - no red light) Its only 14 minutes walking distance to the big shopping mall: "Market Village" which is a big mall with plenty of nice restaurants and a food court in the basement with very nice and affordable food. And a cinema with original soundtrack movies as well. Walking distance to the beach is about 15minutes, but the beach is nice with all the bells and whistles. The hotel pool is very small and can be found on the roof!!! A few sunbeds was also in the pool area. If U can find this hotel at a discount price - go for it. Its very nice. Will I stay there again YES - definitely!
Stayed here for the New Years , decent pricing but had a terrible experience. First of all the towels in the room looks like they were decades old, the breakfast was below average. The Wifi in the hotel reminded us of the dial in network, never connects and if it connects it was hardly usable. Anyway book this hotel if you are ok with the price and not looking for any facilities from a decent hotel. ( I even mentioned that I will write a review about the hotel and the receptionist was ok with that and agreed that the hotel is very old )
Clean rooms, spacious with balcony. Breakfast is below average and the kithchen closes after breakfast - which wasnt very convenient as I was there with a small baby. Hotel lobby nice and the pool area is very good as well.
Stayed for 5 nights and it was awful. The bed was so uncomfortable a swear my back will take weeks to recover. The shower barely worked with warm water. The breakfast was so awful one try was enough to put me off for good and the staff are sloppy . You won't be happy staying here I bet !!!
this is a fairly big hotel on the 'wrong' side of the busy main road through Hua Hin; some of the higher rooms could have had seaview, but all rooms are facing west, towards the mountains; nice balcony, unfortunately the ac-driver-unit is there as well, making a ton of noise while you chill out on that balcony ... switch it off. rooms are good size, but not spotless wifi reception can be a bit wobbly breakfast buffet is good, eggs can be made to order; friendly staff there all in all OK then, for the price paid
