This hotel has seen better days. For the affordable low rent one may argue in its favor but really too much not going right to ignore. The beds and pillows are a disappointment- we checked in to see yellow, stained pillow cases and had to request for a replacement that was hardly an improvement. The air conditioning is problematic- either too cold or nonexistent and quite loud especially at night. There were ants in the beds one night, as well as at the breakfast buffet the next morning. Limited choices at breakfast, only sliced white bread in the bread section, and we had to bring our own yogurt and beverages. Please pass.
Great hotel for the money. I only have a few issues. The tea and coffee are in bags with coffeemate for 20 baht each. Considering many hotels provide this for free, this seemed a bit much. The shower could do with a better shower head. My shower head caused the water to come out a bit more like a hose than a shower. There is some building work going on next door (Feb 18). It is on the other side of the hotel to rooms and was fairly quiet in the mornings. If the windows in the corridors were kept shut, it would be even quieter but there are not latches on the windows and when I tried on pull them half shut, the staff reopened them the next morning anyway. At first I thought the internet was poor but after I discovered they had a few internet hubs, I used one of the faster ones. Finally not all the reception staff had a good level of English. I got round this by using a app on my phone to translate. Despite those points, I would be very happy to stay there again.
Stayed two nights. The hotel is a five minute walk to night market or a five minute walk to beach. The hotel is also called Citin Loft. Room was a good size with balcony. Unfortunately, the hot water heater not working for the shower. And the free breakfast was mediocre. There were a lot of cleaning staff just sitting on the floor talking or resting by the elevator. Didn’t really bother me but they should have a staff room instead. Makes it appear unprofessional. The entrance lobby is nice and the staff are friendly, but not very helpful. There is a new building being constructed across the street which causes a lot of noise. Stayed end of Feb 2018, and the construction has a long way to go. The hotel has potential if it could improve its breakfast and provide hot water.
This is a night mare, totaly run down. Pool stinks And if you find any staff from the two ho works in the hole hotel. One can speak three words in English and the other Thai I complain about the pool, They Dont care..... Someone are building a new hotel on the other side of the street. Looking forward... One night here and never ever more
Booked on Agoda and arrived next day from Pattaya on the ferry. A short drive from port to hotel (200 tbh) Reception friendly and quick to check in. Room large. Bed large. Bathroom good. Safe in room. A/c. Large fridge. Tv ( bit dated) 2 bottles complimentary water daily. Large balcony. Walk to bars nearby not too far. Overall for price it a good stay.
I loved this hotel. First of all, the front entrance & lobby is beautifully decorated. The rooms on the 3rd floor & higher all have excellent mountain views. The balconies overlook a very quiet side street and are a very relaxing spot to enjoy in the early morning and evenings. The rooms were LARGE and clean. Housekeeping was EXCELLENT. The bathroom showers were VERY BIG and wonderful. The hot water never ended. Breakfast was very nice & the eating area is very pleasant. My favorite part was the ROOFTOP pool overlooking Hua Hin. Great views! Plenty of space at top to lounge around & relax! Even in high-season there usually weren't very many people up top, so it was very peaceful. The location was great. Besides being on a nice quiet side street & having great views, it is very close to the Hua Hin train station & a very short walk to the beach. Also, the main road it is off is where the green baht buses make runs all day so it's very easy to flag one down & hope on. These negative reviewers are clearly the type of miserable hotel guests who are impossible to please no matter what. :) Hotel was very clean & staff was very nice and spoke English just fine. :)
Staff alternate between friendly and indifferent. Close to soi 80 if you are interested in that kind of thing. Cold AC that appeared stuck on 18 degrees. No complaints about housekeeping. You can rent a scooter from the hotel, around 200-250 Baht a day, no paperwork, just don't crash the thing. Like much of Thailand learning English is low on the list of priorities for people that have elected to work in hospitality in a tourist destination, smiling occasionally wouldn't hurt either. On a quiet soi with a few takeaway's, laundries etc.
I'd give 1/10 because roof didn't leak staff in reception don't speak English or anywhere else in hotel breakfast is a joke shower sometimes has hot water most times not had friends who lost money from room
I've previously stayed a few times at Citin Loft Pattaya (In a 1br suite) and enjoyed it. Thought I may have a similar experience at the sister hotel in Hua Hin. I was COMPLETELY WRONG. I stayed there for seven nights in a 60 sqm suite room ( I think 731) which presumably was the best room in the house. It proved to be a big let down - for example - only one connection to cover tv, chargers, devices, jug etc etc. Aircon was a roarer which made it just about impossible to sleep in comfort. Linen was threadbare. Staff looked disinterested and unmotivated. Had to specifically show the cleaner the areas of the room that needed cleaning. Outside deck was never cleaned and always had puddles of water and/or areas of dried dirt. Buffet breakfast was just about the worst I have ever encountered. On a positive note the hotel is quite well located being near to the entertainment areas ( e.g. S. 80 is only a few minutes walk away) and I found the busy main road quite easy to cross. But all in all the Hua Hin Loft is a dump to which I would never return.
Conveniently located within a short walking distance from the beach and the city center, I initially thought that this hotel was a good value for money. Although a bit old-fashioned and not spotless (the furniture needs to be refreshed...), the room was huge, clean and nice as a whole, with a great balcony and a nice mountain view. I had a quiet night on the comfortable bed and at first, I was happy with what I got. I would easily have given a 3 or 4 rating to that hotel until I checked out and that's where things went wrong. I was charged for 3 bottles of soda water which I never had and which I didn't even see in the minibar. I informed the receptionist that I had never had those bottles of soda and suggested to look for empty soda bottles in the room but to no avail. The lady (who wasn't friendly at all) continued to claim that those bottles were in the room before my arrival. Since I was on a rush, I finally paid without arguing. I heard that they also tried to charge the previous guest for a bottle of Thai whisky he had never had. I don't think that the lady at the reception did that intentionally and I rather believe that the minibar refills are poorly managed, which results in this kind of misunderstandings and which is unacceptable anyway. Too bad, caus' the place itself deserved a better rating.
