Centara Hua Hin is just not the same nice place anymore that it used to be. We’ve stayed here numerous times since 1980/81 when it was still the Railway Hotel. These days it appears to be a bit too money-hungry. The main opportunity for improvement at this point is, in my opinion, to be honest with the guests and notify them in advance that there is a major construction project going on which eliminates the nicest pool and guests have to look at an ugly temporary wall instead. Offering rooms at discounted prices during the construction process would be another appropriate option. Because of these drawbacks it was probably our last stay at Centara

This hotel is the best hotel I have ever seen. Location, staff, food and the garden/building is top class. But from Jan 2026 and at least another year maintenance and building on the site means noise. It is a shame because everything apart from this was fantastic.

Oh, yes we had a great stay at Centera. The staff was wonderful in all ways; courtesy, responsiveness, anticipated our needs, timeliness and always with a smile. The room was clean and spacious. The food was delicious and well prepared with a wide variety of choices. Our Romantic Beach dinner was very special. I purposed.

Great hotel to visit with children. The new pool villa rooms was preferred for us, since the other ones are outdated and those are new. Enjoyed the club where you can get afternoon tea and drinks pre dinner. The coffee was terrible for breakfast (used to Italian coffee)

The staff is probably the most courteous and professional I’ve experienced in many years. The only minor negative about the resort is that the room was lacking outlets and the lighting was dull. Also no hand held bidet sprayer next to the toilet. I understand they are keeping the historical charm of the building and they’ve done a great job with that. The garden are amazing.

Grand Old World Charm on the beach.

Centara is such a convenient hotel to all the amenities of Hua Hin. Access to the beach is great and if you’re not interested in the beach the pools are all excellent options. The hotel itself is grand with incredible old world charm. All the town has to offer is within a 15 minute walk.
