From reception to room every single services had fantastic. behavior, quality, housekeeping, swimming pool and all other services has made us impress. We visited with family and stayed at Lagoon view suite. Highly recommended to others who has plan to make their holiday memorable.
We went there for Saturday BBQ night for the first time and felt the price was overpriced comparing with other 5*hotel in Hua Hin in term of food quality, food varieties and the freshness of seafood. My Thai wife told me that kitchen staffs were gossiping about their hotel management instead of offering her help when she asked for something at buffet table. The grilled lamb was overcooked and very dry and the female cook refused to make her a new one. No Cointreau for Crepe Suzette as it ran out. It was very easy to get it from the bar where it was very near. Coffee and tea are normally included in the buffet price but not here. The waiter asked us, if we liked some tea with the dessert and we were charged when we asked for the bill. We asked for the normal water but the big bottle of imported mineral water were poured without presenting us the bottle before serving and it costed almost BAHT 300. At other 5* hotels, the bottle of imported mineral water was always nicely presented before being served. We liked the ambiance of the restaurant and the attentiveness of the waiter who took care of our table but overall it was not value for the price paid.
This is a beautiful Resort ten minutes out side of the town of Hua Hin. It has a great setting right on the coast with beautiful gardens. the rooms of a high standard and well maintained and kept to a high standard by the house staff. The staff in all departments from reception to the restaurants and bars where most helpful and always happy and friendly. If you eat in the resort it can be expensive and there is a 10 % service charge on everything from a beer to using the Spar . It is much cheaper to get a Bhat bus for a few cents go into town. Having said this the food is great. The choice of food at breakfast was amazing . A great for a relaxing holiday. Well done Anantara.
I'm only 30 and I want to retire here. Now. The high ceilings in the room lend themselves to the overall regal feel of the place... and the wooden furniture evens that out with lots of warmth. The sprawling venue of the resort appears "big" without anything actually being too far from each other. It must be the high walls. Everything was conveniently located and not more than 2 minutes from each other within the resort. The water comes right up to the wall of the beachside restaurant and the clientele are usually easy on the eyes. Makes for a great holiday. Adventurous guests can rent a bike less than 150 metres away from the entrance. The restaurant is a little pricey for younger travelers but the ambience more than makes up for it. The pool is gorgeous with the staff and the bar inside the pool being really friendly. Have to come back for sure. The food is delicious.
Our first time at an Anantara. We had a lagoon room which is very spacious with a deep bath. Big comfy bed with all the usual luxury items. The gardens are beautiful and the many staff are super efficient and very friendly. 5pm cocktails become an essential part of the daunt the lagoon pool. The hotel food is very good (particularly the Italian) if pricey (think London prices). Only complaint the price of the wine is astronomic (min £45) for a very average bottle. My advice is stick to the cocktails or beer. Overall it's a great hotel - a week stay is perfect.
We had first class service from Alex (chief experience guru) and we found all the staff very helpful. Our garden view room was spacious and airy. The hotel is about 4km north of Hua Hin but a shuttle bus runs every hour starting at 2pm at 50 b per person one way but even a taxi is only 200 bt. The beach is a bit limited and the high tide comes right in which makes long beach walks impossible. We found we were able to get sun beds at any time of the day which was a big plus. Hotel can get busy at the weekend with visitors from Bangkok. There was an extensive choice at breakfast and it is worth noting that drinks prices can be kept down by taking advantage of happy hour which is 4 to 6 at the pool bar and 8 to10 in the main bar. we played golf 3 times and transportation is complementary when booking through the hotel
great hotel, bit far out but easy to get taxi in and out if town 200.00 b, was nice to come back to the peace and quite. the rooms are very clean and could do with a makeover, but the staff made up for this, they were great, nothing was any trouble, I travel a lot and was a bit worried about the hotel after reading some of the reviews. I was very surprised and really enjoyed my holiday as did the rest of the family. I will return and would like to say that the staff are a credit to the manager.
This hotel is the best nothing to much trouble all staff where very friendly Food for breakfast was excellent food in the restaurants was excellent room excellent and kept very clean.amazing place calm and tranquil Alex the manager was absolutely first class.
Stayed at Anantara for 10 nights over Christmas and New year for our wedding anniversary. On arrival we were presented with a welcome drink and cold towel. The check-in was straight forward and quickly completed. Room We stayed in a Garden view room. The room was a decent size with patio out to the garden. We had a monitor lizard visit us one morning and various birds etc. The bathroom is compact but modern and stocked with toiletries. Our bed was decorated which was a nice touch. Even when the flowers etc were moved from the bed the room ladies would rearrange them into another pattern each day. Pool / grounds The location of the pool is right at the centre of the resort. The setting is tropical surrounded by landscaped gardens. However, it was freezing cold. Maybe down to the weather when we were there. I enjoyed a couple af walks in the gardens. The beach disappears at high tide so it's not always possible to walk along in the daytime. Restaurants The food was good at all restaurants. The food at Rim nam was delicious! Great service through out. We had cocktails at the beach and pool and the staff were great at both. The hotel bar was a good place to relax, the resident band played various music. Prices were as you would expect, expensive but value for what you were getting. We attended both the Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve events. The effort the hotel staff goes to is emmense. The food was delicious with a huge selection. Torr took care of everything we asked for. He really wanted to go the extra mile but without being forced. Not one negative that I can think of during our whole stay. This was our first Christmas outside the UK and the hotel gave us exactly what we wanted.
Great room with extra large bed, nice bathroom. Our room didn't have much of a view but it didn't matter much. The resort has plenty of places to eat or get a drink. Lovely private beach, not big, but it was nice. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Worth coming back to in the future.
